Its disturbing how many I got wrong. I am so glad you said the rest was hard. Your doing Gods work!
Thank you Alvin, a great new year to you also.
7/12. I was going really strong but last one screwed me, made 3 mistakes there. The most surprising is raise with 77, but I guess when villain bets so small we can raise for value, as villain would have a lot of calls with FD, pair plus GS hands. Also, I raised with 98 for that particular reason. Normally, against bigger bet I would call, but here since villain is betting small I decided to raise for value, turns out that was mistake. Great test, really enjoyed it and learned some things. Can you make similar test on flop check-raises?

Your blocking villians 2 pair, sets with 8x and 9x straights. 98 seems like a nh to call and protect your range with given villian is checking over pairs quite a high frequency on the flop
7/12 - I'll take it as a moral victory that I've learned something but have a long way to go. I love this channel BTW!
Very nice! One of this a day would improve anyone´s game a ton!
Great video. Could you do a little more explaining of the WHY behind things like 98o majority calling on the river? As someone who got like 4/12, when i understand the concept in play (adding TT to your checking range due to blockers), I’m pretty decent, but sometimes i have no qualitative understanding at all (why shouldnt i raise 98o?)
Your vids have caused a newbie to be convinced there is an actionable/achievable path to learning proper modern poker :)

and welcome to Overnight Monster!!!
What do solvers 'say' about protection?
Hey Alvin, great video! I've got a question I hope that you can answer: Does it effect our defending range, if an opponent c-bet close to 100%(more than optimal/GTO) Fx: BTN opens, we defend BB. BTN c-bets 100% of his range on any board with a 33% size. Doesn't that means we realize less equity and therefore should defend less?
10 out of 12. I had aces check rather than bet the turn and the BB call rather than raise a set of sevens. That last one still puzzles me a little. I had feared being blown off my draw to a full house in case the button would reraise a straight.
would love to know what should be BTN's response vs the turn c/r with his thin bets like AA
Haven't finished this yet, currently 3/5, but it's the music that got me goin🤔

We want more !
Fun, interesting stuff.
5/10, but I am also multi tabling and didn't give it my all and played it at 1.25x. I was shocked at the %80 sizing over the smaller size, because smaller sizes are more +EV in theory in general, and also it's the closest to checking, but it makes sense, because we aren't betting our whole range derp! Those set raises were wild too
Oh I meant to say that I would have only gotten a FIVE LOLOLOLOL
8/12, the last one was difficult. I had 77 calling and 89 raising.
7, but I gotta say I don't understand the one where I missed 3 out of 4, the 30% or check. I guess I'm trying to reason decisions, while GTO is brute force and then people look at the GTO solution and say "of course, it makes perfect sense".
Got 8/12. The 77 as a xr i got wrong. And the btn barrel turn 30% i got wrong.
Hey Alvin, how much do you charge for coaching, and if buying multiple hours, any super discount? Can I get it much cheaper since I think you're really cool xD?

Sorry, I just released almost all my students to focus on playing.
Yay, got 10 out of 12, i would have checked the 77, and i thought AA was a check on the turn
I got 9 out of the 10 wrong
This is how I did 1. D ✔️ 2. B ✔️ 3. B ✔️ 4. C ❌ 5. A = Check ❌ B = Bet ✔️ C = Bet ✔️ D = Check ✔️ 6. A = Raise ❌ B = Raise ✔️ C = Call ❌ D = Call ❌
in first one, why BTN cant have all 89 hands?

98o isn't a standard button steal
IDK man actually too easy for me, only one mistake checking AsAx on turn. And I'm only 1\2 -2.5\5 reg... It's fun format, but really wanna see much much harder quiz, now all decision is way too logical and easy.
10! yeeeeeeheeeee!
9/12 but still a 50z shitreg

The set raise v 1/4 pot was by far the most unintuitive.. Vs general pop this is probably not too applicable though as they likely don't utilise that turn sizing w pair/2pair hands (if they use that sizing at all) , so our play loses EV. Also it'd be interesting to see what raise sizing pio prefers, obviously it must be quite small if we include sets in the raising range
