Great video! Two possibilities why Levan does not show this type of wrist training: he is afraid of damage again or hides for the day of the fight. Regarding you forget Devon can also use the flop wrist press which I think can also be one of the weapons against Levan. But Levan 4-0 + oxygen.

In a controlled setting only targeting wrist flexion yeah he can curl 100kg but u gotta factor in with match, against another arm, pressures are being applied in other directions as well you’re using energy to counter them ur wrist isn’t getting all the blood, oxygen, and attention needed in that setting to produce your “gym max” curl all that wrist flexion power simply doesn’t translate over to someone actually pulling on u.

A lot of your video hinges on the implication that a 100Kg wrist curl with a dumbell is the same as a 100Kg wrist curl with Devon's hand. I'm not so sure that's the same.

I don’t think doing a 100kg curl with a one inch handle is the same as holding someone else’s arm. I’m pretty sure the weights don’t exactly transfer, it could also depend on the set up, and how high the opponent can get up on your hand, the higher they are more pressure they will apply on your wrist

That injury is not a problem. As you said he doesn't need such a wrist pawer to win

That super cut in the beginning is nice. I love Devon. I want him to win. Someone who dedicates himself in the way he does for something we all clearly love. I want him to succeed. But the difference in Muscle-Mass is just ridiculous. If we weren't already at the top, they would clearly be in different weight classes. If he wins anyway, he is the Best of all Time without question. The B.O.A.T if you will. But in my humble opinion, it is just too much to overcome. If Levan was just strong and a decent Arm Wrestler... maybe. But he is way to good to make up for the strength difference by being better.

Best strategy is for Levan not to talk about his wrist condition and let the people with the incognita in their minds about his potential performance. In either case (wrist fully recovered or not), not to disclose about it provides and advantage to Levan.

Devon’s back pressure and pronation won’t matter as much if Levan has the superior rise. It could very well end up being Levan’s back pressure pronation versus Devon’s wrist, just like last time

in my opinion Levan's weakest link might be his side pressure. i've watched a lot of his matches and the kind of opponent that have won against him in the past or have held him(like Ermes) are guys who levan can't finish to the side because they have a lot of bicep strenght and then they almost always have won with the flop wrist press, so i think that what he "lacks" is side pressure, i can't recall seeing him with his wrist cracked back.

Historically Levan's wrist has been his biggest strength. The question is whether its still diminished by his injury.

I think that hes not training his wrist like before the injury, due to the risk of another wrist injury. This can be a risk for levan and an advantage for devon

Ryan, do you think Levan would show up to compete if he really thought his wrist was still injured, or less than 100%? It makes no sense to me.

It might be more. Koncreet Elbow did a video talking about his lifts. Devon's riser set up (with the yellow belt/strap) was next to his other setup. It looks like there might have been another weight in between the rectangular weights that isn't normally there. So it's possible he might be closer to 125 lbs. Just a guess, really, but it looks odd just sitting there in the video without him (Devon) even mentioning it.

I highly doubt that. It's not a simple matter to just learn how to flop press. You need to be able to transition to that position, he's literally too big and slow to transition fast enough. Look at Denis attempting to transition, Devon shut it down instantly because he can react and move faster. If levan can't cup his wrist and hit to the side, he can't win.

Levan has no flop. Ermes has a nasty one… but Levan doesn’t have any flop whatsoever.

As much as I love Devon, and as much as I want to see Devon win, I think Levan is going to push through Devon like the first time. I don't think Devon has anything to actually stop Levan, no matter techniques, pronator, wrist, etc. I whish I am wrong though!

Ryan: you are forgetting that it is not just Devon's 60k worth of force, it also ads up the force that levan is also applying going against devon, so it will be more than 100k force being applied on Levan's wrist. This same principle is applied on car crashes. If a car goes 70kph, and the other car goes 50kph, that is a crash of 120kph for both cars.

I'm no-physiicist, but I'm pretty sure you are wrong. The force at the contact point of two objects pulling away from each other is tension.....not a collision. Two equal and opposite forces.....of 60kg provides balance.....there is no doubling of tension, rather cancellation. Think of it this way.....imagine a rope.....the rope is holding 60kg of tension......The concept might seem counterintuitive, but think about tension not as a force that objects are applying on the rope, but as the force that the rope applies on the objects to keep itself stationary. Anyway.....all in all to say....Levans cupping doesn't need to contain 120kg

@@ryanbluebowenyou are right, it’s like hanging weight from a hanger. If you put 50 pounds on a hanger the hanger is supporting that 50 pounds it will make the tension equal, it’s not pulling back with another 50 pounds making it a total 100 pounds of pressure

It is what I predict: There will be no time for Devon even to think. Devon will face a huge horse power again even more destructive than the first match. Devon is just counting on possible weaknesses out of Levan' injury. Things don't work like this.

In summary. Its Levans cupping vs Devons pronation. Levans has proven his cupping can lift 90+ kg. Devons pronation has never come near to lifting that weight.

The question is how well does Devan’s pronation lift really translate to table? Obviously Devan is a huge believer in it and Vitaly for instance thinks it’s nonsense. John Brzenk still feels that nothing in the weight room truly replicates the forces and pressure on the tendons and ligaments of the hand and wrist and shoulder that simply just arm wrestling provides. I tend to think that pronation lift is imperfect because if it truly translated 100% he would have been able to take Georgi’s wrist and that didn’t happen. Does Levan have a superior wrist to Georgi? I think that may actually be debatable. He is absolute stronger and more explosive than Georgi but I’m not sure that wrist is stronger. And to make matters worse Levan actually INJURED his wrist. So you’re telling me the first time that Levan is going to treat his healed wrist flexor tendon in a live match is against the guy with the world’s strongest pronation?? Nobody thinks that’s a big deal?? 🤷🏻‍♂️. I can damn near guarantee you Levan is not flexing 100 kilos with that right wrist. Not even close. All of this is important because if at any point in the match Devan cracks Levan’s wrist he will quickly gas him out. Levan wins by explosively top rolling everyone to the pad 6-0. If you can stop him without gassing out yourself like Ermes did then you have a chance. In that match Ermes completely lost his wrist but was able to use his flop press to compensate. If Devan keeps his wrist and can crack Levan’s he will win if he doesn’t get another freak injury. And that is still a very real possibility because we actually don’t know how that flexor tendon will hold up in a real match. Devan is in a sense very lucky that the one area he is the strongest in happens to be where his opponent literally had an injury that knocked him out of competition for a year.
