This was fun to watch. I did it a long time ago with my grandchildren. At that time I used ceramic tiles and ceramic paint, and had them fired. So I have hand and foot tile prints of the three of them at 18 months old. So much easier with a gelli plate! :)

Such a fun gel print idea, and it came out great! While watching I thought you might be taking off too much paint with the tissue, but no it was just the right amount. Good to know! Gonna give this a try.

That's cool! I can see doing that for an exhibition... sign it and place it by your work. LOL I think it would have looked really cool, too, if you had not taken away all the paint around your hand... just pushed down where your hand was only. Maybe next time! VERY cool! 🙂

Here I am sitting on my couch drinking my first cup of tea of the day watching your video & when you pulled your hand up from the gel plate, I find myself saying out loud, "Press your hand on another piece of paper for a second print". I felt rather silly. I really liked the result though. I have a question. I've seen others do gel prints & they don't use tissue paper to remove a lot of the paint from around the subject. Is there a particular reason you do? Does it tend to showcase the print by doing that? I like the look of it, just hadn't seen it done before. Thanks Juna.

Haha, I wish I had heard you Teri! Yes, I love the look of using the tissue paper to remove paint, because it doesn't remove all of it, it leaves some of the texture of the tissue paper which I really love. 🙂

The spot in middle of your palm could become an eye…
