I doubt Dybantsa goes to UK,. Guys like him dont want to go play in complex offense. He wants ISO ball, even if he should see the bigger picture and will be required to fit into system's like Pope's in the NBA. But, im confident Pope will prove to be an effective recruiter of 5* calibar players.

This is where we need a “World Wide Wes” in our program. Gone are the days where the program would sell itself. Now it’s NIL and how much will you “pay me”. And that’s all programs today. What pope needs to to bring in players that played for UK, and can sell the basketball team. Show where the best path is to play for UK, and then on to the NBA. But AJ will only want that “one year”, then right to shake David Silver’s hand. But waiting is hard to do at this time.

I’m honestly not too worried about the hype of five star recruits.. over the past few seasons they couldn’t even get us past the first round in the tournament… I like how the portal is going so far this year.. I think Kentucky is underrated and they will have a great season! Thanks Lance for everything

Man if you think UK doesnt need 5 star recruits, then you have been listening to the wrong ppl. Its been since the beginning of recruiting that 5stars have helped teams win and win big. Pope would be stupid to build through the portal every yr. Everyone is hooked on UConn winning. But they wont win like that every yr. I doubt they get there this coming season. Covid caused this season to be the way it was. 5th yr seniors all over the place. UK will need 5 star talent. Pope will recruits 5 stars. He's not dumb. He knows he better get real big time talent in here.

I asked the “Field of 68” crew about Dybantsa to UK and they said no chance.?

I don't think Pope will land AJ. He'll get some talent but I think he'll have to prove himself this coming season before he can reel in the top tier kids, which I believe Pope will.

More than just Hurley all the great coaches went through some bad seasons. I love the coaching staff and how Brooks and Hart recruit and I love the pope system I think he could land a couple five stars in the 25 class idk about AJ though

Pope will most likely only be able to recruit 3 star recruits and a few 4 stars like tubby smith. He will depend on transfer portal.

I've said KY has 2 of the best recruiters in the country an just give mark time now at these exposure camps/recruiting camps/ games UK & mark pope is a huge hit with the young All-Americans talent ever player that pope & his staff had talked too said they love to play for mark all the haters talked crap about mark the man came too a team that only had 1 player 2 stay 1 and in weeks built a coaching staff & team cause all the recruits done commeted all mark counts do was get players out of the portal

@@pmontyjaaaymes488 BS does everyone get on here make a dumb comment knows anything about BB does any of you go too & watch the BB camps like peach jam coming up the 5 stars camps cause if anyone of you did you've know mark pope & his assistants is among the best recruiters Alvin brooks 3 recruited all the good players Baylor got Jason hart ran NBA G league and recruited the best players not counting hart was at USC got some of the best players they had and Cody fueger is pope's right hand man helps mark runs everything & mark fox was a head coach for many ys has a lot of experience an knows how off & def should run with all the combined coaches mark pope has put together its a great staff
