I met Coach Cal in the fall of '09 when he first got here at my workplace. The first thing I wanted to do was call my dad and tell him. He had passed away earlier that year. But Coach Pope has that same excitement behind him, if not more TBH.

Man I hope he is successful, because I love this guy!

Such an intelligent, articulate , personable coach ❤. A breath of fresh air 💙💙💙💙

God I wish season started next week. I'm so happy for mark and OUR program and the effort he's putting into this to keep up the elite program we have and continue to sustain.

my wish for this first team is TITLE, TITLE, TITLE!! My hope is 25 wins, SEC reg season champ, tourney semifinal and sweet 16

Yeah…there are other videos of this where you can’t hear Coach Pope, but you can hear the questioners quite well. I agree…it would be nice to hear both at the same time.☺️

I dont understand how this man gets some of the hate he does, he is such a genuine likeable guy, and just listening to him coach and speak makes me wanna run through a wall. Literally only thing he has to do is land the recruits he wants and keep this coaching staff together and i think he could win at a high level. I actually think this team although thrown together in such a short time might be really good.
