Skillsaw (Jigsaw)
Hitachi Modified Planer
Angle Grinder from Harbor Freight
Various Sureforms (flat, concave and cylindrical)
Mini spokeshave
Band Saw (thanks Grandpa)
Variable Speed Polisher/Sander from Harbor Freight
Japanese Pull Saw

List of materials:
Laminating Resin (polyester)
MEKP (hardener)
Surfacing Agent (add to laminating resin to make sanding resin)
Styrene Monomer (add to sanding resin to make gloss resin)
UV Cure Powder
UVC light (Check amazon for this)
6oz fiberglass cloth
3M face mask with 4000 series vapor cartridges and clip on particulate filters
Flex Pads (medium, soft, super soft)

    Did it back in the late 70's with dubious results. Still fun. I also took a perfectly good Gordon and Smith square tail and turned it into a swallowtail. Killer work. Subscribed.

    I’m sort of doing this now with my SUPER OLD short board. Wanted to turn it into a Mini Simmons but I don’t think the base is wide enough so i’m just reshaping the nose area since there were so much cracks and dings that I didn’t feel like re-doing the repairs.

    Nice work man! Super entertaining and informative! Just an idea, I went to Lowe's and got a 90 degree angled PVC pipe and an end cap that I put on my planer, now I never get foam in my eye. I wish I had done it like a year ago...

    @@Rogue_wave I live in Chicago and swim long distance in Lake Michigan all winter long… I start wearing a 3mm when the water is below 55 degrees for a mile or more swim ! The 3mm keeps me warm in 32 degree water when it -10 degrees below zero

    Yes, hotcoat both sides. Look up “green light surf mekp chart” on google.

    Because I wanted to hand make the fins. It’s a lot easier to hand make glass ins than try hand make fins that go in boxes (FCS, Futures)
