Will it Drive? Classic 1957 GMC Truck Water Well Drilling Rig | Weekly Peek Ep315
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Bryson finds the oil fill plug on the differential. You know this truck is vintage. You know what else is antique? The differential oil and the transmission oil! Bryson replaces the two types of oil and greases the wheels and frame. Will he put this truck in gear and get it driving?

Name the truck Clifford because he’s huge, red, and digs,
The oil looked like it hasn't been changed since Eisenhower was in office.

Great job Bryson!!! My first thought was how proud your Grandpa would be!!!! 💕💕💕
Anyone else rocking back and forth to help get the truck going?
Congratulations, Bryson! You could see the satisfaction on your face when the big ol' red beastie fired up and engaged! Loved watching Shelley and Gary hanging onto the running boards for a ride, and then hanging with you for your adventure. Thanks for letting us all tag along.
Divert the Divot! My husband’s family had a well dug with a rig like this one in Oklahoma! We both cheered! Great job Bryson!
Yay!! Way to go. The ol’ red truck reminds me of the movie “Cars”. I think you should name it “Mater”.
So proud of Team Bryson this week. Good job! It's running, almost faster than Bullet.
So fantastic to see it running! Great job! Has anyone said Bry-draulics yet? 🤪 Also the flowers shown are absolutely beautiful 😍
Excellent restoration project! The very first thing I do when fixing anything is to thoroughly clean it. It's easier to work on and to see what's what. A water blaster/pressure washer is worth its weight in gold. I recall your earlier videos on well drilling, you were very, how should I put it, creative in how you approach the problem. 😀 Very much looking forward to seeing more holes in the ground. Massive Respect from New Zealand 👍😀
Call the truck “The Indefatigable”. Just because nobody other than y’all will be able to pronounce it. Good job on getting the truck running, Bryson.
Commitment, focus, execute...for the joy, love of it all...Bryson U and your family are amazing, full of grace...thank you for inspiration 🤗
As a mom, I am so proud of you Bryson. Being prepared and having more knowledge is better than not. XD
I lost my dad last year, he would have loved working on it. He used to work on one of the largest cotton farms in Arizona. My Grandpa was the foreman. It's where Sun City is now. Dad was the first kid in his family to be born in Az. I grew up riding in big trucks. I have an old red truck in my backyard now. It's called Mongo. Feel free to use. Great job Bryson!
BRYSON, CONGRATULATIONS! You certainly "earned" this success! I know you were encouraged all the way by your "Cheering Squad" -- your Dad & Mom! And, of course, Bullet! I enjoyed the excitement, also. God bless
That truck... it's iconic! I so love watching your progress on it! Love learning from you by following through the process of this restoration!🤩

Looks good and it Moves! Are you planning on painting it in the future? I would suggest just a good cleaning and matt clearcoat to keep the patina.

Well done ... what a magnificent 'toy' ... I think mom and dad got just as much joy out of it as Bryson did ... wonderful family!
Bryson's determination and "can do" attitude are nothing short of "inspirational", but I'm still mystified on what you will do with this. Does the well drilling part even work? Are you starting a well drilling business? Don't know a lot about automotive stuff, but I do agree with Walt about Muncie transmissions. My uncle was a mechanic and he swore by them for the trucks he serviced (from this same era).
“Driving Mr. or (Mrs.) Dowsing” would make a good name for Bryson’s rig.

Clever!
Such fun watching Bryson bring this gorgeous old truck back to life. If trucks have souls this one has...trying so hard to start then so hard to get out of the rut. I could almost see Hellfighters John Wayne and Timothy Hutton walking round the back to help (even though your's is a water drill!). Fantastic viewing. Thank You, Family.
Name it Big Rusty. Awesome work and soon you’ll get to paint it.
Bryson, you impress the heck out of me. Fabulous job young man.

See what being raised by a father and mother, a loving family and good old fashioned home schooling can produce!
All's well that drills well, I guess. It's amazing how you're able to get a truck that was obviously neglected for many years to even start, much less drive. A year from now I expect to see that baby on the road to drill some wells for friends and neighbors.
Great job Bryson! When you were in the ditch, trying to get the truck out of the ditch I found myself sitting on the side of the bed rocking, trying to help you!! I love how tenacious you are, that was me long ago! 💙🐰💙
It's great to watch younger people building and repairing things and getting results way to go man
Your truck already has a name DMC... Dempsey! Awesome work Bryson!!
Hey Bryson, when you started moving that old truck the first thing that came into my head was the old truck in the movie "Cars" I think it's name is "MATER". I think that's the perfect name for it and your drawing on your shirt looks just like the one in the movie. Also, you did a good job getting that thing running. Good on you guy.
@sherribeach4160

Call it "Drill Mater"(like "Tow Mater", from CARS)
Well, well, well! Bryson, you have done a divining job getting your well rig rolling. G-Mac-daddy rig is definitely a survivor! Props for resuscitating him.
Congratulations Bryson. Job well done. Now it's time to drill a well. How's the garden doing? How about "Big Red" for the truck name?

CONGRATULATIONS! I’m so happy for you!!
I used to work for an outdoor market garden and we had container trailers on the property to hold supplies. Each had a name. One of the towing companies here has the name of Dr. Hook, so the container trailer they dropped off wore the name (and still does to this day) of"Dr. Hook". Those were the most wonderful and best bosses I ever had because they respected their employees and treated them like family members. The business has been handed down to the 2nd generation now but the values of their great work ethic and caring for each other still lives on. BTW, old stick shifts are: top left - 1st, bottom left - 2nd, top middle - 3rd, far top right - 4rh and far right down - reverse. I learned to drive "stick" on a 1964 Chevrolet BelAir station wagon. A long nose and long tail end with "shift on the column". When we switched vehicles to a Lynx Cougar (1980's) I had to relearn how to drive 'stick' because the positions of the rod had changed. After a few years we got a Chevrolet S-10 with a cap. My partner hated parallel parking so it was up to me to do it instead of having him go around the block a thousand times to find a parking spot he could 'just drive into'. Which brings me to my 2nd query: now that you've got it rolling, are you planning on making the well-digging business your next career? If so, you're going to need to lubricate the huge digging arm. Any plans on repainting the rig?
Mom's right. It's a "massive big toy!" 😂😂😂👏👏👏
Generally back then most standards were a 3 gear Standard H shift. They either went: 1st is up to the left, 2nd is straight down from 1st and 3rd was up to the right and Reverse was straight down from third. Sometimes they would also make the shift order: 1st is up to the left, Reverse was straight down from 1st, 2nd was up to the right and 3rd was straight down from 2nd.
Well done Bryson, I like the name “skitter” let’s skitter done” lol
All I could think of when you were trying to get out of the rut was "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...I can I can I can!! LOL..cheering you on from New Zealand..the determination & passion...🤯..Congrats on getting the old girl/boy moving!! Loving the parental enthusiasm & support..awesome family!!🤘👍👏
Congratulations Bryson, I’m convinced you can do most anything. Wait, can you cook?

I wasn't shocked that Bryson got the riggers running, although I was feeling like does Bri and mom know that he's driving over the camera ? I'm glad it all worked out 😁.
Great job on your new project rig. I think it would be proud to carry the name "Old 57", as we're all pretty proud of the year we were born.
I found myself pushing the imaginary clutch, and gass, into the floor! I think Mom called it... 'Honey '. I'm excited to see the next show! :-)
Congratulation on a job well done, Bryson. I admire your skills, determination and that can do attitude your parents instilled in you and your siblings. Ma and Pa well done raising the brood!!!!
12:22 - "Dude! Do you believe this stuff?" - Bullet
This is thrilling! Congratulations. My late husband and I had a partially restored 1940 Buick Coupe. It was road worthy. So I know the feeling.
Bryson, you have the best parents!! How about Tuck for the trucks name as he was "tuck" in a hole for a bit?
I'm feel like my stomach is in my chest watching Bullet wanting to be close to Bryson while he is moving that huge truck! He still loves Bryson like he's his Mama- stuck like glue 🥰
Would love to see how a starry night looks from your backyard. New moon night best!
if you are leaving it the same color name it Mater after the truck on Cars lol it looks like Mater only different your truck is a drilling truck and Mater was a tow truck

"I don't know what gear i'm in" ....next scene stuck in ditch and hitting a tree. Loved it
You ought to decorate it with MLH and drive it in some parades!! The whole family could sit all around and on top of it and throw candy!! Heck yeah!!
Hell yeah!!! She's alive, alive!!!! I'm west of Tucson and would love to have a MLH well drilled!! 😍 Congrats on the effort paying off Bryson!
Awesome job Bryson! The first name that came to my mind when you showed the front of the truck was Mater! What a handsome red beast!
Great job Bryson ! Congratulations. I had no doubt that you would make it happen.💪👏
The desert scenery and that truck coming up that road truely gives off a 50's vibe!! A dad coming home from a long day out in the desert drilling and the kids running along side of the truck a small daughter jumps in his arms as he gets out of the truck and sneaks a piece of candy out of his front pocket lol! I could write a story lol and the road runner is a neat name since it's desert and it is kinda fast slow lol
Bullets face at 12.23 is why he is my favorite family member. 😊❤️🐕. And let me tell you that is saying something cuz you are all so Awesome! I don’t know what to name the rig, but the underside reminded me of the Tinman (Oz) when you were putting oil in the joints.
How awesome!!! How proud you all must be. Good job getting out of ditch too. I think your Mom said it, I think "Honey" should be her name.
The Rig! You've already given it a name😄
Filming editing music narration Award!!!
Daaaaaaaang that grease/oil build up 😯 Great job Bryson!
To run unleaded, you will have to replace the exhaust valves and seats! While you are in there, you might as well replace the valve guides, do a valve job on the intake vales and replace their valve guides also. Oil Bath air cleaners were used because they are cheap, just clean it, add a bit of 'el cheapo' oil and you are on your way. Learn water well drilling and you can make solid money as a sideline or full time! The pull lever that did not seem to do anything might be a frozen choke or heater cable! The name Rig Be, comes to mind! See what being raised by a father and mother, a loving family and good old fashioned home schooling can produce, the; 'My Little Home Stead Bunch'!
"RED ROVER" now that's a name!!! What fun you had. Family enjoys your videos, keep them coming, please.
Well done on getting her running! You should feel really proud
Very happy to see Bryson shine!
Nice job, Bryson!! You got the "Ditch Rigger" going beautifully!!
I would call your truck Rosie because she is red! Glad you got her going. Great for you! It is a really cool truck. I can just imagine what she will look like all spiffed up!
I love how Bullet copies everything his Daddy does... "Oh... So we are laying on are backs on the dirt, no problem, but look Daddy this is how you can scratch your back at the same time!" LOL
Mom and Dad are like kids in a candy store!
It’s the Drill-Matter!! Good job Bryson!
Bryson ..... your skills and willingness to learn empresses me every time. Yes, I'd like a ride in your Hot Rod 😉. I Love your attitude. Can't wait to see how the truck does with the drilling.
One engine done, now the right motor, baby steps lol 😁
That kid is so smart!! Good job Bryson!
Keeping it simple 'Big Red' ? Great job on getting it up and running 😊
If my dad was still alive he would love that truck and probably named it Big Red.
Sweet!!!!Congratulations! She Runs!! Couldnt have asked for a better deal.💜
She’s a beaut Bryson, good work! Tell Garen you need a paint job, he will probably pass out. we used to be truckers, and we said GMC stands for “Great mountain climbers”. Or “Gotta mechanic comin.”
WOW SOO cool seeing the old truck running! Good job Bryson!
What a glorious sight, with Bullet riding shotgun!
Way to go Bryson 👏👏👏 Digger would be an honorable name for such a machine of durability! Congratulations 💥
That was a solid dose of the warm and fuzziness! I love what you do, all of you,!
Great job Bryson! You should name it The Drillinator!
A smile on my face, way to go Bry.
Amazing to see how you bring back the truck that is when you can do ur own thing
Big Red. I always call it that inside my head when I see the truck. Good luck!
Great work Bryson! Can't believe that I was rocking with the truck while you were in the divet. I think you should call the truck 'Mater after the tow truck in Cars. They look almost the same. Thank you all for a truly fun Friday evening.
That dirt under the differential will make great fertilizer in the garden !
You really are a jack of all trades. There's almost nothing you can't fix. Awesome Job. I can probably come up with alot of different names but Ill just keep it simple with Big Red .
The rig should be called Honey Do ! Amazing work !
We enjoyed this video so much 😂😆 so excited for y’all to get it running!! A few names from my FAMILY are BIG RED, MATER as in tow mater, MR. DIGS, and BIG RIG
Whoot! Go Bryson go! The monster lives! This could be VERY useful. Either the equipment already installed, of some conglomeration as needed. Awesome that old thing can still be useful. Nice to see the old gal goin' again. hmm... Tires. There have to be price effective alternatives.
Amazing Bryson!!! How bout “Redggie or Redgie”. Redggie the Rig - Redggie Gets Stuck in a Divot. - Redggie Gets an Oil Change - Redgie Gets an Incredible New Sound System!!
Awesome Bryson. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I was holding my breath while you were rocking the rig.
Big Bertha is the name I suggest. Congrats on getting her running!!!
"Digger" runs awesome, congrats.
Call it the” Big Rig Bruiser “ ❤️
Great work Bryson, your determination is to be admired.❤🇹🇹
It's loud and awesome. Can't wait to see it painted
Hello friends 👋 there is nothing more exciting than a first run/ drive
Great work Bryson, Shelly and Garry! I love the way you always encourage and help each other. The name "Mater' is already taken from the Cars movie series, but she looks like a 'To-mater.'
