I like Bryson's style. He keeps at it until he figures it out.
Really proud of you! Most often the fill/drain plug on these trucks are located about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom, more so in the front,, by the Pinion. and don't have a traditional style plug. It's a iny not an outy. Lol probably a 3/8. All you need is a 3/8 drive Ratchet and extension. Just poke the end of the extension into the plug and go for it. No socket needed. Some of the two speed Differentials on the bigger trucks use 1/2" drive. Don't make the mistake of using a Alen wrench. As long and it hasn't been changed this is the correct info. And please feel free to hit me up if you need any advice on your truck as I have been buying and restoring these trucks for years. And have alot of knowledge about them. And again, Great job.

You are awesome 👍
My Little Homestead is the only channel that I would click on to watch someone working on an engine because I'm soo invested in your family and you make every video interesting to watch. Like going to a family gathering without the pressure of having something to say. Your family is the best!

Absolutely agree! I have no idea what he was doing or why, but just wanted to be there to encourage and watch Bryson figure things out and succeed - one task at a time!❤️
Yes, please explain! I am totally down to watch a five hour long MLH video, although you might not be quite as keen to edit it. The problem-solving and ingenuity that your family demonstrates is remarkable. However, I think that the most remarkable thing this week is the discovery that Bullet does, in fact, have a "slow" setting!

Nic you spell your name like my son. I did it to able to tell his stuff apart from the other Nicholas. It makes your name unique.
I just checked for a video and was sad when I didn’t see one. And then! BAM! Y’all posted. Lol

Congratulations Bryson, well done mate, a bush mechanic extraordinaire! Just inagine what you could do when the family builds the new workshop (tall enough for a hoist) you won't know what project to start first! Tony from Western Australia 🇦🇺
My husband and I own a small water well company. Absolutely love seeing those old drilling rigs going again!
It’s nice to see Bryson being Bryson.
My grandpa could fix anything, just like you guys. Although he was an iron worker, he did all his own plumbing, electrical, and construction. I spent many hours watching him cut and weld. He had a manual hoist on a big steel a-frame and would sometimes pull an engine to work on it. There were times that he'd work on an engine all night, then go to work the next day. Incredible work ethic. The young guys from church used to bring their cars over for him to fix. He never charged a dime. I love watching your videos. Thank you for all the time and effort that you put into them.
I've always been amazed by how talented these (now grown) kids are. Gary and Shelly, you are amazing supportive and positive parents who created amazing positive and multi-talented individuals.
Your brain is awesome. You see a problem and your brain just works out a solution. Even if it doesn’t work the first time, your determination, thirst for knowledge, and work ethic along with your problem solving mind are a wonderful combination. Your respect and admiration for your brother is so sweet, but you already knew the answer. I’m so glad to see a young man learning and doing so much. We need more young men like you. What a wonderful family, all such self motivated, smart, hard working problem solvers.
What’s more beautiful than a blooming desert? Gorgeous!
I thought wearing Bullet out was impossible. Nice to see he does have an OFF switch. 😂 Well done Bryson. 💕🇨🇦
Oh, that moment when you hear the engine catch! Congratulations, Bryson. This is such a great project, and I enjoy each bit of progress.
I too enjoy Brysons abilities and drive an excellent benefit to a family such as this as they all are , each having their own gifts
Well done, Bryson! I am always impressed with how you stick with a project, painstakingly figuring out each problem until you have succeeded.
What a smart young man. I am so happy to see when you guys need help you call family and they come to help .. What a great family. People could learn from you guys. Hugs and love..
I find it fascinating to watch Bryson work on this engine to get it running. Bryson, will you clean all the gunk off the differential, get it sparkling clean? That would be nice, I think.
So there I was, watching another seemingly Bullet-less episode. Entertaining, but still Bullet-less. The outro starts and my hopes start to fade. And then what happens? You go and stick the landing. Bravo MLH, I give it a solid 9.5
Bryson is just so cute...I love his calm and positive personality
Well done mate, sounding amazing. Can’t wait to see her moving.
I love y'all. I really do. The way you support each other and cheer each other on...it may bring a tear to my eye everytime.
AWW BREE AND HER MAN ARE JUST THE CUTEST... THE WAY HE COMPLEMENTED BREE ON HER QUOTE... AND HIS GRIN SMILING AT HER 😍😍😍
YEAHHH!!! Wish all machinery: vehicles, appliances etc would return to clean, basic simplicity!

Me too. There is room to work in those old vehicles! No knuckle grinding there.
Actually what it's called when you weld a part like that, is magnaflux. Check the fuel filter, and make sure any old gas in the tank isn't gelled.
Bryson you are so very smart! Your parents are so lucky to have such beautiful, talented & wholesome kids like you & your siblings. God has blessed your family! 🤗👍
My daughter said ...best thumb nail photo EVER! That is exactly how i see the well drilling rig ...he is so handsome
Those rods were mega bent! When you started pulling them out my mouth literally fell open.
The caps on the valve are adjustment shims, to help in adjusting the valves. Very happy to be you restore the drill rig.
Looks like you've all created a "full time job" - just to read thru all the msgs from the love you inspire! ❤🦋🐕🦎🐐🌵🏵❤
this whole family is such a joy to watch. Always supporting each other in whatever is going on. Please let Shae know I have the sewing machine has. I received it as a christmas gift when I was 16 and I am 61 now. It is in my collection yes collection, I seem to have a healthy obsession with older sewing machines. NOTHING NEW those are made of plastic. Plastic part do not last.

I've got a "Macy's Stalwart" that I just love. It came with a lot of attachments too. Old sewing machines are very cool. I'm 60.
I'm a proud subscriber to your chanal and I'm also a water well driller and service tec. I'm really glad to see yall with this cable tool rig.
Oh wow! Congratulations! I love the sound of an engine coming back to life. Great video, Bryson. I adore your sweet family❤️
My day has been made. Love your adventures!!
You're doing a great job. The best advice I got while working on engines years ago is to paint every piece you pull off and it will help you locate leaks in the future. Use any color except black.
I can't wait to see you drilling. Endless possibilities!!
I've been waiting for this video 😲 Resurrecting old vehicles makes me so happy! That first start gets my blood moving and heart pounding even as a third party experience!
Way to go! Now find a steep long hill and see how fast that baby goes.
Bryson. Run a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil in the engine to help further loosen it up.
Well that was super exciting! While I could take something apart, I don't think I could ever put it back together or make it work properly 🤣. Love to hear it running, sounds great!
Love the new tShirt ...praying u always feel your gramdpa helping u as u work Yes we definat I y want to know the science. Please
Bryson your talent in so many different things and how you keep trying and how positive you are is great.
Old engines are so fun to work on if it isn’t your money or broken parts😁😁😁
Love the video! Even sparked my husband’s interest because of the “car talk”. His only comment was: “That truck should’ve required leaded fuel.” That’s it, he is a man of Many words, lol. Great job Bryson!
I love problem solving. Your family works very hard. I appreciate all of your videos.
With a good floor jack you do not need to drain the tank. I did it on my jeep.
'57 would be leaded fuel. Hope it's still running

You know, I thought of that also though I know nothing about cars! Thanks for Mentioning it !
Wow... That grin when it was running says it all.... like a little boy at Christmas! Lol One happy guy!
Is there anything one of you can't do???!!! You are all amazing and have such individual talents! You are inspiring!
Not only will it run. It will outlast and out perform any modern piece. And be a stunner while doing it. Good old American made yes please any day.
Love seeing all the green spaces… Monsoon Season is showing its beauty.
Bryson! I had a 60 Chevy with the old 235 six cylinder...same setup, with my truck I had to run lead additive to my fuel because if not it would get valve damage ..not sure if you will have the same issue but it would not be a bad idea to make sure
BRYSON, PERSEVERANCE!! CONGRATULATIONS !!
The mott is eventuell a Black witch mott... i love it when old things become new live ... good work.. ❣👍🏻🤗
Bry, I loved how you filmed ur video w/beautiful scenery & the Country-Scottish vibe music, you did an excellent job of it & on the old truck. Your a very good mechanic, that is a skill that every guy should have.
How will i ever find someone that meets the bar that Bryson has set for me?!

I hate to say this, but I think it’s a fact, finding men like Bryson is like finding hens teeth. The family will have to auction him off to curb the fighting over him.
Yayyy Bryson! So proud of you buddy. It’s so awesome to see your excitement. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊
Bryson, really appreciate how you explain the steps your taking and why. Fascinating and helpful!
Good job getting that engine running, and doing all the talking at the end of the video.
Is there nothing Bryson can not do? You are so smart!
was so excited to see what happened to that wrench stuck in there! bryson you are so clever, love watching you figure stuff out.
Bryson, You missed a perfect opportunity to tell your dad to hold a flashlight and cuss at him every time he moves it. haha
Generally, the fill plug is located on the differential or the differential front cover. The plug may be either hex- or square-shaped. Step 2: Loosen the differential fill plug. Put an oil drain pan under the differential and loosen the differential fill plug with the appropriate tool.
The insect you were admiring appears to be an imperial moth.
Well done Bryson the truck is doing great. Your family is so amazing 😻
Hello Bryson ur just so amazing n intelligent yay u go like always figures out how to fix everything! Congratulations to u all my beautiful 😍 family sending y’all hugs 🤗 n bunch of blessings
You never cease to amaze me with your determination and ingenuity Bryson. Great job of CPR on that old engine. Looking forward to seeing this old work horse moving again.
Congrats Bryson. I knew you would get that truck running.
"It's AAALLLIVEE!!!"
Red is as old as I am... We may be hard to start but once were going LOOK OUT... Great job on getting the old girl going.
Glad you got her up and (engine) rolling.
That big moth you have there is called the Black Witch Moth ♥ we get big moths here in Indiana and we get these kinds of moths, Luna Moth, Cecropia Moth, Hummingbird Hawk Moth (they are way cool go check them out they fly like a hummingbird), and we get the Polyphemus Moth too. Congrats on getting the truck started. I cant wait to see more about what you're going to do with it. *sending hugs to you all*
💙💛💜 Something about the truck sound just takes me way back ...dunno ...really not that old...really ❤
Those Are on there for the rocker arm to ride on without wearing down the end of the valve
Bree as a kid I tried digging to China too lol. I think parents need to add that detail unless they just want to keep us kids with imaginations busy for a while! 🤣😂🤣
Your dogs are so cute. And I agree, if I ran after a ball in the desert heat, I’d be done too. Lol.
Woot Woot Congratulations!!
I'm 'digging' the new shirt design! Bryson, your truck is purring like a kitten!
Wow I can’t believe you got it running! That is so cool! A lot of hard work there. Y’all take care, and many blessings!
Well done! Really enjoy when you have a project. Lots of love from Brazil 🇧🇷🌟✨
Yeah……👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I’ve been waiting all day
So happy for you Bryson! Good job!
Great video. The beginning if the video reminded me of the sign in my dad’s work office… work fascinates me, I could watch for hours. I feel like Brea here but I do have a stupid question, do you have to add anything to the gas because you are using unleaded gas and I doubt that was what this fine red truck would have originally used? I love that this is a family bonding project. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to it moving!
The fill hole should be on the back side of the axle
ITS ALIIIIIIIVE!!!!... You’re a legend Bryson. Good job mate. 👍🙉🙈🙊
Top notch job! Bryson is fun to watch, very talented.
Great job so far Bryson. You all are so talented 🤩👍
Frankin Truck ITS ALIVE!!!!!
At least you have room to poke around in there. Sounded so cool.
Nice job Bryson. Good luck finding the what cha ma call it thingy you need to find. lol
Woop woop! Big Red runs!!! That is so cool!
Oooh free butter knife 😂 Omg the puns 😍
Bryson I am really proud of you you did a great job I wouldn't know the 1st thing
I believe those caps are contact points for the pushrods to hammer on
I love you 😍 Bryson
Well done!
That rumble 🥰
This looks like so much fun!
It’s running sounds good and it’s not smoking
AWESOME JOB!💕
