Freezing Russian assets, then stealing them, might seem like a great idea. But if they do that, who will ever trust those banks with assets again? Won't all of the other countries that have assets in those banks withdraw their funds immediately? And what effect will this have on de-dollarization?

The whole of India was ruled by only a handful of Britishers. Why India chose to never fight back baffles many to this day. Maybe India is just obedient by nature.

Drawing upon my expertise in the behaviors and nesting habits of Indians, I can definitively state that Indians did not resist the invaders; instead, the invaders, including the British and various others, eventually withdrew when there is nothing left but a population of one billion Indians grappling with poverty and illiteracy-a challenging situation that nobody was eager to tackle.

There is no legal ground to do it. Even if they freeze it forever, they can't transfer it to a third party without the approval of the owner. It is like the court freezing someone's money let's say due a criminal activity and the judge decides, let me use that money to buy a Ferrari. You can't do that. These EU and US central bankers know this very well and that's why they haven't done it for the last 2 years.

It is called confiscation as long as it remains in the banks that its owner deposited it in, the moment it is moved out of the banks and given to another party without the owners permission, then it is legally defined as theft. They shouldn't be messing with Russia's money at all. I tend to believe that the majority of this money belongs to the Oligarchs. I remember a speech Vladimir Putin gave in Africa referencing the fact that many African leaders have the lion's share of their wealth in Europe. As I hear Ms. Sharma tell it, Putin should have heeded his own advice, instead of sending a significant portion of the nation's GDP in the lands of your detractors. Just a thought.
