I really like the concept of fairy tails bring archetype. It's creative and easy to remember. I always go 1-3 at prereleases but I love attending

Im a commander player and attending my first prerelease this Friday! So excited and hoping to build WU or UB (love me some faeries). Will be good to watch the deck building video

New to Magic and this will be my first pre-release! Really looking forward to it, love the flavor of this set

Such an exciting set! I love the theme of a fairy tale for each archetype

I've been waiting for this and am excited to see your deckbuilding video, too! WOE will be my first pre-release (already signed up) and even though I probably won't win anything (only been playing paper for a year and no local playgroup, so once every other mounth a one hour+ drive to even be able to play paper) I am excited for this set, since I love the setting and art. Only thing I would've loved more, if all the snow/ice themed card would've actually been "snow" cards, so I could integrate them into my (granted fairly budged) snow deck. Personally hoping to play White-Blue, but White-Green or Blue-Green look fun, too. Else whatever combo I can make, but I have most experiance with blue, so any combo with that would be neat. Also already ordered a bundle, because I really love the art incl. some of the variants/extended/full-arts..., also the die is beautifully purple :D

@@danacoleman4007 Oh right, the pre-release review. It went ok, probably better than I thought. I went with Selesnya and ended up in 9th place with one win, one loss and two draws (thanks to Blind Obedience slowing my opponents down). Nothing great, but a bit fun nevertheless. This Friday I'll go to a WOE Draft, but I don't really expect to do any better tbh^^ Just want more WOE Cards and play them.

Having the archetypes correspond to faerie tales is perfect for Eldraine! I'm also excited about some of the twists you've put on classic archetypes (like BR Rats and Sacrifice, rather than just Sacrifice.) Finally, "Mintstrosity" is *chef's kiss*

Attending my first PreRelease event this Friday to this video came in super handy :D Quick question tho: what happens if I don‘t have enough land cards for my deck? I am SUPER new to magic and only have a red / black Commander deck I could use lands from. But what if I want to draft a White Blue? Do I need to get these lands before the event?

Good question! Your store will have lands you can use. You can grab as many as you'd like for your deck. Have fun!!

Make sure to bring some of your own lands. My shop doesn't provide lands and says you have to bring your own as people tend to forget to return them.

They did, but just imagine it’s an evil frog shooting the lightning bolt and a witch cursed to stir her cauldron for eternity

Gavin, I have to ask. What happend to Eriette's apple? The other witches got artifacts that synergized perfectly with their specific artifact. But Eriette's apple just does a threaten effect. Seeing as the other witches got things that fit them mechanically why didn't she get like an aura for example. It could have been an artifact, enchantment aura. I know you did enchantment artifacts back in Theros. Either that or something that helped Eriette put auras on creatures repeatedly, like the roles for example. I'm sure there are some story behind it. Would you be willing to talk about it at some point?

Gavin, is there a reason to not put "Ferocious -" on the 4+ power-matters cards in the set? This theme is frequently reused, is easy to remember and is flavorful: most 4+ power cards in Gruul already look ferocious.

I will play at the pre release event, really loved this set. The only thing Im sad about is that we still don't have a Sultai Faerie legendary. I have now 7 faerie decks, but my green faeries are sad waiting for their leader.

The flavored archetypes based on fairy tales is awesome but unfortunately mechanic archetypes seem to repeat from set to set.... Izzet spell, fruul power 4, simic ramp ... 😢

I get the UR is spells matter and UG is ramp joke but I personally prefer more creative choices. For example, the scry focus on UG in lotr was refreshing
