In fact, the wilderness is mentioned more than three hundred times in Scripture.
Now, host Jack Beck ("The Holy Land: Connecting The Land With It's Stories") highlights the easily-overlooked truths of the wilderness-both the harsh, threatening ecosystem in which Bible people sometimes found themselves and the difficult seasons of life in which we often operate. I loved this! What a privilege to be thirsty and tired in the wilderness of the holy land as a setting for the living study of the Word of God. These students will never be the same. What an example of “context” in the study!
