That was fun to see Bindi's mannerisms change when you switched to Honey Badger and Bindi was on the outside. When Honey Badger came outside, Bindi faced away and acted like she didn't notice or care that the Mink was there. But at the same time she would glance back to make sure Honey Badger wasn't coming after her. She knew that Honey Badger was not trustworthy to not bite her. What a smart dog!!
As dumb as Tag is sometimes I love watching her … you can’t help but smile when you see how much FUN that pup is having regardless of what’s going on around lmao

I think that in a very short time, Olive will be catching live rats with her hands, just like her father.

She's gone well beyond good little helper! She could practically run the show if dad needs a break.
Does it seem like Tag is improving? She certainly has the drive, unlike, say, Lilly. Hopefully she's curtailed her bad habits of running off a distance with the rat, and tossing it about. Suggestion for quick & cheap rat barrier between old & new woodpiles: 1x1 stakes, sharpened at one end, drive into ground; cardboard/campaign posters attached with staple gun. First time I've seen a mink (Wyatt here) cache without the special cache box around. Only one rat for Leia? Hope the old girl isn't slowing down with age. Joe, you often/always have the knives on your hips, but I've never seen you use them. What are they for? Finishing off wounded rats? Your girls are awesome. And this flatlander thinks the mountain scenery is gorgeous.

that lil girl holding a 3 big rats wow
16:13 that is so adorable, Leia knew the mink was coming and so cleared out, which her human understood immediately before seeing the mink. Incredible teamwork!
You live in such an amazingly beautiful part of the country. That mountain view behind you in the opening scene of the video is truly magnificent.
If only all dogs are as clever and beautiful as Bindi.
27:15 amazing! The training and time you put in to the dogs and mink is mind boggling! 👏🏻
Here in Australia if you were to hand move a large wood pile on a rural property, the question would be not if there is any snakes but how many. Especially if the place has rats there would be snakes hiding under any timber or scrap metal piles.
@JosephCartertheMinkMan

Yeah it's like 38°F (3°C) when we were doing this, so zero risk of snake bites. Plus I've never seen any venomous snakes around this area.
You have the perfect landscape in the background 👍. Those mountain ranges are beautiful. What are the names of those mountains? They are gorgeous with the snow. And your animals are beautiful also. Your kids are precious

Why do I feel proud seeing your kids being in control and guiding the dogs 😍
Ellie and Olive are such good workers! They are both a real addition to the team! and Joe I can't believe you go through what was essentially a dog door - wild indeed! Maggie thanks for the beautiful scenery at the end - most of us don't have those views where we live.😀 How great to see the "newest" minks - Sherlock, Rascal, and Wyatt - get involved! They are all 3 coming along well. Wyatt seems to be still so little! and what a great cache-er!

If you plan to use wood as fuel, you should never store it on the ground like this. It stays wet and is rotting away fast. However piles like this are habitat for a lot of insects and small critters. In this case, i would ether remove it entirely or build the pile a good distance away from the chicken coup.
Cool video! I do miss the muskrat video's though
Just have to add an aside Joseph, my Dad was a Gamekeeper in England, I was a beater at age 7, my Dad used to shout to me when I got the birds up, "That's my best girl", my goodness you remind me so much of him. Great Dad & Mum. 🐶🐶❤❤
Great to see the girls are of an age that they can help. Also great that you let them play when they have done enough
Not trying to be creepy or anything.. But been watching your channel for a long time... Cool to see that you continue to keep your daughter involved... I remember when she was so young.. Once again I'm not a weirdo... My daughter and I enjoyed similar sporting activities... It's a good relationship builder:) Peace: ) It's just cool to see Dads and Daughters find something they both enjoy:)
I just love your content ! Just SUPER ! My father raised mink for fur & if one got out , he used a soft mouthed terrier ( Ahem ) to catch the offender . A rat - was shook dead by our rat terriers ! Somehow , I've turned into a Border Collie person ! Go figure ! 😅😅😅😂❤❤😢
I normally don't like children...but the GIRLS are rockin! :)
Question, have you looked up Twitter rules regarding censorship for hunting videos? They pay content creators now and I was wondering if you were still interested in showing us plebs the videos we don't get to see on KZread for free.
Bindi is so enthusiastic, but also calm and determined.
Your daughter Olive is really getting into ratting now lol, she might steal your job or at least take over when you are a grandpa. Kinda cute watching how she has grown and is into what you do. Reminds me of Steve Irwin and their kids.
Thank you for teaching those sweet girls the value of hard work. Also, Tag is coming along well!
Wow Olive is such a great helper so grown up already. Joe your a mink and the big guy is tag 😂😂😊❤
Oh my goodness. She sounds just like you in tone when commanding the dogs :D

Like how bindi can have a rat in her mouth then see another one and unalive that one took. Multitasking
Oh, I envy you, Joe. Such a fun day with your whole family and pets. Well, working pets and best friends. Nothing beats this kind of quality family fun/work. I'm too old my kids are in their 30s and my grand are still too young. I miss those fun days a good 20-25 years ago. Now my kids turn and I hope in the next few years they will do it. I hope I live to see it in some form by sitting on the sideline. But these are the things that stay with the kids and will pass it on to them. Yup, good ol' days. So Joe you living it and I'm missing it! lol.
You're very lucky to have your young girls to help you Joseph; they do a great job. (THE RAT TRAPPER)
It’s fun seeing your kids get in on the family business haha. Bindi is such an amazing dog!

I hope you get your badger soon... As you know i have been waiting. And also (may i remind you) about mentioning the other animals such as ferrets, weasels etc... I love watching your channel. Sorry that you had to put one of your dogs down recently. They all have there own personality.

Aww your wife and daughters are amazing little helpers Joseph, wonderful family unit all working together, I wish people would stack their wood piles off the ground, the farm owners certainly don’t make it easy for you and the team and your fantastic dogs and mink, some of the rats were big too, tfs guys x Julie 🇬🇧
The new Ratting Generation grow Up with so much fun 👍🏼🤩
The daughter and her daddy making memories catching rats.
Maybe set up barriers with poles and chicken wire fence or plastic sheeting?
"Where's little Gypsy??" 😂😢😮😅😿😾🙀🐶🐕
Brilliant video jo great watching you working with your family well done lady's
Joe u should buy so kind of portable fencing stuff that u can take on big jobs like this to contain the rats when tey run. Love your show
you really need to set up barriers first before moving things to prevent rats from escaping to your new piles of wood..

Daddy's sweet, strong, brave girls helping him again. It's so nice to see children being strong and handy with jobs and chores before getting a chance to play. You don't see that much these days, as children prefer to be on their phones and playing video games.

Joe, is Bindi ok? She looks and acts like she doesn't feel well. Great Video!
12:25 that rat looked as big, or perhaps bigger, than the mink.
I would love it if you would research the Rat Terrier they were bred from several breeds whippet greyhound and severl other breeds that are small bodied legs are longer then most terriers and very fast and can jump up on things when going after rats they are true ratters I loved my 2 they have passed of old age now I just rescued a Rat wire haired Terrier that is starting to hunt my Grandson has a farm and 2 barns that in the near future we will hunt but first I have to train him to obey commands
“Don’t attack the goat, don’t attack the goat!” 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣
