For anyone wondering why at 2:41 he is swinging the rat, rats can climb up their own tails and bite. So to prevent it from being able to grab and climb its own tail, he swings them.

@@parac0sm0naut26 you'd have to squeeze the rats very hard with a grab and reach. Pair that with te fact it's easier and more accurate to go in with your hand than with a grabber on a stick and you see why he just grabs them. I have owned pet rats, I know how fast they can be. They're quite decent at being escape artists. Hence why they can climb up their own tail. If they're desperate. They're desperate.

@Raven4K Rats breed a bit slower than mice. And yes, they will come back. But if you dont control the population, they go out of control. This is one of the best most efficient ways Ive seen to keep them under control. If you poison them, they die a horrible agonizing death. And no creature even a pest animal deserves that agony. Never mind the poison potentially affecting other animals who eat the bait or poisoned rat corpse. I once saw a strychnine poisoned squirrel, someone with chickens had put strychnine bait out to keep small animals away from the chicken feed. It was the most horrific thing i have seen an animal suffer. Its body was arched so far back its head was touching its tail, its face was frozen in what looked like a grimace with all its teeth showing and it was flopping around on the ground gasping for air. My friend killed it and buried it to put it out of its misery and to prevent a dog from getting to it. Now, imagine that was your pet suffering like that because it messed with a poisoned animal corpse or got into bait. Better the rats die to predator animals as nature intended

Kinda cute how F3 will just sit there and lick the dead mouse a few times like she's passing on the positive re-enforcement routine, LOL. On a more serious note, I'm loving how much there is to learn about the animals.

Get yourself a nice pair of cut proof gloves, you can get ones for a decent price that are basically chainmail! Haha. If you find them not grippy enough, or getting too much crud caught in the weave, put an _oversized_ pair of nitrile work gloves over top of them.

I wonder how many unlikely, arty-farty, city-dwelling women wearing vintage clothes and a full faces of make up sit like me and watch these sorts of gruesome compelling videos? I have a clutch of favoured rabbit holes (pardon the pun) including: cave diving tech videos, ratting videos, police interrogation videos, space travel and engineering videos. I wonder what will next capture my imagination? Thanks for uploading this weirdly engrossing, high energy vids. I'm in the UK and it all started with ratting terrier video from English farms. There must be more chicks like me out there and it makes me laugh out loud to imagine them all sitting in their Vuitton pyjamas drinking artisan coffee, their bedroom filled with frienzied screeching noises of rats running for their lives...with the occasional crunching bone here or there. 😂🐕🐀
