A science trip to northern part of the country with its basin and range geography was a unique time 2 decades ago. Mongolian Marmot was offered to all of us when a hunter came into a local restaurant. We traveled on the route that was used by the locals in taking their herds from Lake Baikal area to warmer zones to avoid the harsh winters. This show/is exemplary in its filming of the variation of landscapes. Don't need to add to the narration/music comment. Ulan Uhl (Red Mountain) was our base camp site. Wonderful trip!
