The cutest kookaburra comes inside to sit on my lap and hang out. This has actually become a daily occurrence now 😅
If you would like to support Australian wildlife and the production of future videos you can buy me a $1 coffee here: www.buymeacoffee.com/bboa
50% of the funds will be donated to various wildlife charities and the other 50% will go towards production costs of future videos allowing me to create higher quality videos showcasing a wider range of Australian animals.
Please check with your local wildlife experts before offering any food to the native wildlife in your area. What I offer these birds is an occasional treat and only a tiny portion of their overall diet.

When we lived in New Zealand, we had some kind of "fancy bird" who would walk right into our house. It was going to make a next in my laundry basket, so I had to show him/her out. I took a picture of it and no one knew what it was. It looked like a pidgeon, but had a crest like a cockatoo. Perhaps it was a hybrid. I think a cat or larger bird got it because one day we found a bunch of feathers on our porch and no more fancy bird.

Kookaburras tend to be pretty laid-back birds. Most birds will take off if you get within a few metres of them, but Kookas will just calmly sit there and watch you approach. You can often get very close to them and instead of panicking, they'll be like "Yeah? What do you want?"

The wildlife in Australia is truly wonderful. Seeing such animals _almost_ makes me want to visit the country. What keeps me though? Well, it's simple. What I fear are those truly *nightmarish* spiders that call Australia home. _Why must they be so big, and why must there be so many?_ If only I knew.
