A friend of mine bought a group of 9 wild fronts and kept them in a 7x3x2...They cost him a fortune as they were all about fully grown, they ranged from 9-14 inch and were the nicest looking fish I had ever seen!

Quick question how was the process of getting stable in the tank because I’ve had two of the wild moba and they both started breathing heavy and died any ideas

Sorry to hear, but not knowing ur tank there are so many factors to consider. Especially tank setup age, maintenance, feeding etc. Get the master test kit..in one of my starting aquarium vids I linked it before. Fronts cant tolerate much ammonia. I also have a deal link to prime in description. Get it and keep it around. I always add it not just for water changes but everytime I add new fish or feed heavy. Lastly my tank has bacteria about a decade old so its VERY stable. You have to test and do a process of elimination.

@@Frontosa4life okay thanks umm my tanks are like 2 years old bacteria but I did feed them frozen shrimp and also I have more tank raised moba Frontosa that are stable. I use prime as well during water changes. Also I have heavy ph water my other fish are thriving just wanted your input. Also I have a group of 3 ikola wild Frontosa coming soon so hopefully all is well thanks bro very much

@Cory Henderson yea man test evey parameter of that water asap bro. Something is up also I would do an above 50% water change...you can never go wrong with fresh water as long as you treat it with Prime. Watch closely for any diseases too...I also add seachem paraguard for external issues anytime I add a new fish or see anything strange. Make sure u got plenty of oxygen flowing tho.

Not sure what you mean, all Frontosa usually end up very large if you keep them long enough. Females usually are always smaller, tho I've seen some large females as well.

Hi! Can frontosa fishes kill each other?

  • @Frontosa4life

Hello just like any other cichlid, depends on how well you spread out Aggression and tank space. But yes it can happen tho very rare if circumstances are ideal. Breeding males can also be a bit more aggressive than usual.
