Wild Camping in the Scotland - Landscape Photography
Are you ready for another adventure? Welcome back to another video, I know it has been some time since I last filmed. I have had a rather busy 6 months and I haven't had any time to film at all and I am super happy to release this video which was filmed in May. I hope you feel it is worth the wait and you find this film an inspiring and enjoyable video. I cannot guarantee I will have the time to vlog as frequently as I would like but I'm hoping I will be able to film towards the end of July.
This trip took me through the highlands to some stunning locations. It was a real test to solo camp but I wanted to push my boundaries. I love doing photography on a trip but I do find the weight of the kit we carry as photographers quite limiting when doing long haul trips or hikes. I decided to adapt my set up and take just one camera without a tripod and was able to come away with some photos I am rather happy with.
At the end of the video I decided not to share the image I took, despite sharing the setting in depth. The photo wasn't one I liked and the composition didn't work. Instead I have used a misty tree image I liked which better represented my style and I prefer this image. I just didn't do a section about it.
I look forward to seeing you in the next vlog, I plan to film less frequently but better quality content. So the I release a vlog you'll know it's something special. Thanks again for all your support and engagement. I really look forward to reading all the comments and might not always have the time to respond. Enjoy snapping and find you next adventure!

Hi Suzannah, I hope you are keeping well. Long awaited video and it was beautiful. My wife and I are both from Scotland and for many years we have been living in Sheffield. It has been almost 11 years since we visited Arran, but we are going in a few weeks time. Your video reminded us how much we have missed Arran and has increased our excitement to our return. We have never seen dolphins in our visits, just seals basking on the rocks on the east coast on the way to Brodick Castle. Last time we saw dolphins was at the Moray Firth. Must have been a delight to see them. We recognised Glen Sannox and will probably go for a wee walk along. Arran, as you've seen, is a jewel and will call you back many times. There is still so much to see. Thank you for sharing those special days, Suzannah. Paul and Moira.
A lovely video of a lovely island. It is great that you emphasise the many benefits of wild camping in Scotland's great outdoors and in the process are encouraging others to follow and share. Arran's beauty and splendour is there for all to to enjoy. However, wild camping in Scotland does come with responsibilities and your videos are an opportunity to educate others. For example, the Scottish Outdoor Code asks that, "Wherever possible, use a stove rather than light an open fire", "If you do wish to light an open fire, keep it small" and, "Remove all traces of an open fire before you leave". Unfortunately, many areas that you have so beautifully photographed are becoming be-spoiled for those who follow by camp fire scars. Among other problems which are on the increase are wild campers leaving human waste and litter.
Hello from Canada!! Excellent Video, Scotland is so beautiful I hope to get to visit one day! The dolphins were a very cool sighting.
Super video, loved being taken on the trip, best shot (I think) is the peak in the mist. Just brilliant, take care :) Rod
great stuff, that first day was a big walk, i wish my legs had that much in them, arran is one of those places with its own magic, wild camping there is just breath taking, to see the the landscape in all its moods.
Nice to see back on here Suzannah. Scotland is one place to I want to visit. They were Dolphins. Great photos.

Wonderful video! You're a natural storyteller. 🪄 🕮 Thanks for sharing your adventure (all the editing that went into that!) and your "magic beans." 🙌🙌
Absolutely amazing places! 😍 And very beautiful photos (I'm a landscape photographer,so i like them even more. 😀 ). ❤

It was a great adventure in the Scottish mists. I particularly like the photo of the peak in the fog that appears at 9:49. Thanks for sharing.
Scotland Is One of the Places in the World That Take Your Breathe Away!! 🥰
Great script and some lovely scenery! I need to get out for some time in Scotland!
Yes those were Dolphins, perhaps bottlenose dolphins from the looks of it. They are playful, curious and magical creatures of the sea. I see them all the time where I live and in the many decades of me living next to the sea and being in the ocean almost daily, it never gets old to see them near by. They tend to be the highlight of any day. Love this adventure of yours, sooo beautiful. It inspires me to load up the backpack and hit the trails too... nice save of the bumble bee btw, they are so precious :)
Beautiful scenes Suze, gorgeous VoiceOver as well making it really magical - loads of love x
Great to see ya back, some of your best edits yet, loved the moody Scotland vibes!
Ahh! Scotland! Beautiful Scotland. It's been far too long since I've been up there! Nice to see you again Suzannah. xx
What a fabulous trip. Reminds me of many happy adventures in the highlands. Thanks for sharing.
This Vlog has Been a Welcome Return, And What Better Place Than The Wilds Of Scotland , Such an Amazing Place For Any Photographer To Explore...Take Care And Keep Well
Always a welcome surprise whenever you pop up in my notifications. Take all the tim you need between blogs. It's your channel; do what pleases you. Love the magical faerie story. Soundtrack is excellent BTW. Some beautiful photos as well. I've never heard Arran pronounced this way. Have I been wrong all my life? 😳 🤔
Always great to see you and glad you had a great time. Love the place and the images you captured ❤️
This video was absolutely worth the wait. Thanks for letting us experience the Isle of Arran with you, it looks truly magical.
Simply beautiful! Thanks for bringing us along! Great editing, but I would ask that you increase the volume a bit. Thanks!
Really nice to see your travels. One of the places i would love to visit. What month was this trip? Also did you come across any wild life? Smashing video, with great photos. It was nice to walk with you in Scotland. Look forward to your next adventure. Always interesting to watch your stories, take care when out and about.
Great vid. Need to work on your pronunciations a wee bit. With Loch Etive and Arran.....the emphasis is on the first syllable, not the second. :-)
I love how brave you are with your adventures, and how you know yourself well enough to vlog when it suits, not when the schedule tells you to. A great video Suzannah. Really enjoyed tagging along.
Such an enjoyable video, a true joy to watch. I admire your bravery to tackle a journey like this on your own but I guess you get to experience tranquility on another level. Thank you for saving the bee, a deed that will be repaid I'm sure. All so beautiful 💜
Thank you for bringing us along on these treks! Such beautiful landscapes that very few see unless they hike in or follow your channel. I love the contrasts between the bold dark rock and the mist in your last shot. Great work Suze!
Your photography is Beautifull but I do hop that you do travel with a companion for safety
