3 Days Wild Camping, Hiking & Fishing in the Scottish Wilderness
Join us on a breathtaking journey as we embark on a thrilling hiking and wild camping adventure deep into the mesmerizing Scottish wilderness! In this unforgettable KZread video, you'll witness the awe-inspiring beauty of Scotland's untamed landscapes, pristine lochs, cascading waterfalls, and rugged mountains.
Get ready to be inspired as we conquer a strenuous 4-hour hike, pushing our limits as we traverse streams, witness magical waterfalls, and ultimately arrive at an unbelievably secluded loch. We pitch our tent on a white sandy beach, where we're treated to a picturesque sunset view that will leave you in awe.
On day two, we tackle a formidable 843m peak, conquering the pathless and steep terrain to reach the summit in under 2 hours. You'll experience the adrenaline rush and triumph as we stand atop the mountain, reveling in panoramic views that stretch as far as the eye can see.
But it's not all about the challenging hikes. We take a refreshing plunge into the cool waters of the loch, revitalizing our tired bodies and soothing our souls. Energized, we set out to catch our dinner, hoping to snag some wild brown trout. After hours of persistence, we finally reel in two beautiful specimens, with one particularly impressive catch that promises a delicious meal.
As evening sets in, we find solace and protection from the notorious Scottish midges in the comfort of our tent. With the rain gently tapping on the rain fly, we drift off to sleep, mesmerised by the purple-hued sky above.

Can I ask what sized backpack you tend to use on 1-2night solo trips? Is 45L too small to carry tent/sleeping bag/pad/clothes/food etc?
@EzeAdventurer
3 ай бұрын
Hello mate, I use an Exxon 48 and I find it's just the right size for me. I would encourage you to look for a smallish backpack like you're saying around 45-50L to encourage you to pack thoughtfully and keep it lightweight. I would say that if you're not filming, you should be fine with a 45L but will be snug. Perhaps a 50 or 55L could be also worthwhile to allow for future longer adventures, or winter gear taking up more room etc. If your bag is synthetic, it will occupy a lot more space than if it's a down bag etc. Still, keep gear down to a minimum for lowest weight, and maximum enjoyment! If you're unsure wether you'll need it, chances are you don't need it!

Enjoy. I have for over 35 years. But don't promote on KZread. Leave no trace, physical or digital. Take home only memories. Protect the "wilderness", whats left of it, for the future.
@EzeAdventurer
Жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy, I agree, that's why I don't mention or post any locations on my trip. I still think it's possible to produce content like this to inspire others to get outdoors and feel nature for themselves. Regardless of location etc. One thing I believe: "You can't protect what you don't know". I think if more people got outdoors and experienced what me and you experienced, they world would likely be a better place, with more willing to take action to protect the "wilderness" we have left.

Sorry, but unfortunately it does inspire idiots from towns and cities who don't respect or look after the countryside. Leave their junk behind , toilet waste , tents , empty drink products etc etc It's shocking what they do to the countryside .... Don't go if you can't look after it.

@@EzeAdventurer on balance I'm sorry but I can't agree. If we want to protect these places our best chance is not to promote them. Maybe it feels like the least worst option but it's the right one. I strongly believe we have a new form of litter, digital litter, left by people who may in some cases have good intentions but are primarily following some kind of narcissistic trip. The younger generation are particularly prone to it. It's as if they don't feel they actually exist unless they offer up everything they do to the electronic ether.
@EzeAdventurer

@@mattwright2964 I hear you. but can't agree either.. If we don't promote nature and get people even CARING about it, we have ZERO chance. Step number one is getting people to connect with it and care about it. FYI I don't put names, or ever pin point and I don't tell people the location when they ask... people still need to work for it, discover and develop the necessary skills to safely access some of these places.
