Bro coming back after that, this is major nostalgia. At first splatfest in splatoon 2 didn’t feel the same. I think that’s why they started making special splatfest. I missed a bunch at the end but I came back for chaos vs order and I loved the ink, the colors, everything. Splatfests have come to an end and I’m sad we don’t have anymore updates and splatfests and we don’t even know when splatoon 3 is coming out, but I’m glad we’re here for the ride and hope whatever splatoon 3 has in store it’ll be worth the wait

I remember my first Splatfest. I joined the game and saw people dancing and smiling and the Squid Sisters singing on in-game stages in the listening to the performance by Callie and Marie, I joined a team and joined a match. It was so much fun, with the music sung by the Squid Sisters, the Team Battling, everything. I even made a new friend. I'm gonna miss these fun times. I hope they make a sequel where they keep the Squid Sisters (they are my favourite video game characters, always and forever) and make Splatfests return. After all, I'm sure almost everybody loved them. I was very surprised when I was told that it was going to be the last Splatfest. I hoped it was all a dream. Sadly, it was true. I'm gonna miss them so much, I would do almost anything to be part of a Splatfest again. Please Nintendo, bring back Splatfests. Yours Faithfully, stitch2654 An inkling, always and forever.

@caiden gonzalez mine was retro vs modern, so I never really experienced the magical feeling of Splatoon 1 Splatfests hosted by the Squid Sisters. But at least we got decorated Splatfests in 2

I also remember that was a day my gf was feeling down with life and there was a Splatfest going on, I took inspiration from this video and started throwing fireworks for her with the "splatball" weapon (don't remember the actual name), that not only cheered her up but made her cry. Those memories will be with me forever.

Here we are. We're in the final few hours of the last Splatfest we'll ever be able to experience in a long, long time, if ever again. Let's take a moment to reflect upon everything that's lead up to this moment. I never imagined this singular game and its sequel would have opened my eyes to one of the most vibrant, colorful, and beautiful communities I've ever seen on the internet. I remember meeting so many new people over our mutual liking of and connection to this wondrous series, all of which I'm glad to have called my friends. I remember spending so many countless hours on this game just enjoying its sheer beauty and grace. So many fun battles had between other people all over the globe. So many battles with my friends and I. So much art shared, stories written, characters created. I remember I've had both games since each of their respective days of release. And back when I had Splatoon 1, there was no such thing as level S or X, or a level pass 21, or Squad/League or Private Battles, or Splatlings, Brushes, Sloshers, Duallies, Brellas. And although this brings me a biased sense of nostalgia about the "good old days," it's also been such an honor to be able to experience this series evolve and continue to grow live with my very own eyes. Thank you, Nintendo. Thank you for bringing this masterpiece into the world.

Honestly? This is an old video and nobody reads these probably but i'm gonna say my bit. The splatoon world is absolutely 100% my favorite videogame world- lore wise, visual wise, and everything else. I've never truly wished to be part of something that isn't real as bad as the whimsical, fun, and truly charming world of splatoon. The absolute joy i feel when i think about life in Inkopolis is almost bizarre to me, i've never felt this way about really anything before. (I guess I could be called a Weeb for splatoon.) The sheer joy and nostalgia for Splatoon 1 splatfests and the joy i get out of playing Splatoon 2 splatfests (not as much as splatoon 1 though, even though 2 did so many things great, 1 will always hold a special place in my heart) is nearly indescribable to all but those who share these feelings. Nintendo, thank you for making this absolute masterpiece of a world. Never stop being creative. Never stop putting these fantastic games and worlds out there. I hope a lot of you (if you ever read this) feel the same way as I do about this game. It honestly makes me extremely happy to think about and dream of this wonderful world Nintendo has created.

I've been a fan of the series for almost 6 years, and I've been playing the games for 5 years, it's so wonderful to see how far this series has come along all across the world ❤️

I kinda like the splat 1 art better, the ink looks oddly comforting since it doesn’t have any shading, and the official art felt amateur and also, comforting

Anybody else feel like Inkopolis and the multiplayer stages need a day/night cycle?

I think making it commonplace would reduce the impact of Splatfests, they'd feel less like special events. Having them take place at night is part of their uniqueness and appeal.

Splatfest is pretty much the most unique thing ive seen a shooter, bah, any form of media, do. Where instead of short-sighted fights, you fight for days on end for a team you picked. It gives an amazing sense of community. One which splatoon as a whole has in spades.

Goodbye splatoon 1. It was an amazing experience.
