I did. Just recently, in fact. Showed dad this very video, starting at Nasty Majesty. Keep in mind that I'm in my mid-30's and my dad is a freelance composer with a heavy focus on ambient/atmospheric and classical sounds. He...was super supportive and willing to go along with me. But he thinks it's super weird and doesn't get the appeal, what, with them being cartoons and the warbly voices and all. XD

I don't see anyone else commenting on this but...A team choreographed and animated ALL OF THEIR DANCE MOVES AND THEY'RE SO FLUID AND NATURAL! I know that's a thing for all vocaloid concerts but like with these two there's the added challenge of projecting their individual personalities through the way they move (for example Marina is a lot of fluid hip motion while Pearl is all hype and energy with her added hand, head, and foot movements). And then, they still manage to sync up with each other and seem like an actual performing duo with chemistry. Like, HOW MUCH WORK WENT INTO THIS?!

imo this is the best splatoon concert. those transitions between songs were insane and the crowd seems so alive compared to other concerts

From what I could tell, according to the story in Splatoon 3, they went off to another city and joined up with another band to form a bigger band. I could be wrong as the information was vague. But I agree. I hope we see Pearl and Marina again in the future. They are the best!

None of the other concerts can match the absolute hype of this one. This goes so incredibly hard, the energy is out of this world, I love every second of it. Was here 4 years ago and I’m back again regularly, props to the band and the whole audience for making it so damn great!

You can hear it because this was recorded to present it on the official channel. The sound feed probably comes directly from the microphone. If this had been a dude in the audience you wouldn't hear lmao.

No, armin alert is right, I was in Japan and everyone was super quiet and respectful, I honestly dont think that Japanese people are capable of yelling super loud like American people at concerts

Pearl is super active in her choreography, Marina isn't as active but her hair seems to say otherwise

It's funny how even if it is just gibberish, you can tell the vocalists behind it are fantastic singers.

Can we just acknowledge the fact that even after all thos sick dance moves Pearl preforms, her crown doesn’t manage to fall off her head once.

This, so much this. Her choreography in general is just so great here, esp her footwork. She's so at home on a stage/in the lime light, I love it. Big Comfy vibes. It's like she knows Marina is super nervous so she makes it all seem like no big deal to comfort her friend!

Confession: I would KILL to see an event similar to this in celebration of Nintendo's 150th anniversary (2039), using the same holographic projections and a similar band, but as a massive crossover celebration event hosted by Mario, Isabelle and Kirby, with various other Nintendo characters coming on stage to perform remixed versions of popular Nintendo songs. Here's a list of ideas (Note: All characters who are confirmed to know how to talk will do so - all others will communicate as implied in the games): - Mario & Isabelle (Lifelight) - Frye, Shiver and Big Man (Anarchy Rainbow) - Mayor Pauline (Jump Up, Super Star and Break Free: Lead the Way) - K.K. It's very odd if you think about the influence of games like Half Life have contributed to the making of Splatoon. I know that it's an odd comparison, but like the innovations of the films The Wizard of Oz and The Jazz Singer are still able to be observed in films from Lawrence of Arabia to Avengers Endgame, you can see some notable staples from those games made so long ago even in Splatoon.

So do we remember the old concerts? Callie and Marie were fixed points on a stage, here they walked all over and even crossed and SWITCHED PLACES!
