reason why i think everyone was mad was not just because their favorite idol didnt win, but people who knew about callie vs marie back in 2016 were *on edge.* if they somehow chose the wrong thing, or the wrong team won, who knows what could happen? sure, this time it wasnt the final fest, but it could impact the game thats currently still going through updates (at least this type of stuff was speculated when first anniv happened) luckily itr ended up only affecting some dialouge however at the time i knew that was the least fun i had in a splatfest. i was more stressed that weekend than anything

Nintendo doesn't _have_ to do this but they *do.* I love that they give us these Sploon concerts especially since the idol/music group thing is a big part of what Splatoon is. It really adds to my enjoyment of the game and makes the world feel more immersive.

It’s killing me inside that we didn’t get a live audience for this. Imagine the excitement when Pearl and Marina showed up, imagine the audience participation during the finale. It would’ve been so beautiful 😭

Marina and Pearl slayed that so hard, and frye’s chaotic energy is so pure I love her so much 🤍

I never knew how much I needed a trumpet, trombone, and baritone sax trio on splatoon songs but they KILLED IT.

So many surprises on this concert alone. Deep cut changing outfits, Frye charging Big Man during Big Betrayal part (lol), Off the Hook with their new costume, Frye & Pearl dynamics, and all ends with Anarchy Rainbow from both idol group. Truly one of the best Splatoon Live Concert of all time imo 🥰🥰✨✨

It really sucks that this performance couldn't be safely held live, but I'm happy that they were able to gather and record a version of the concert for us to watch anyway. All of the musicians are so talented, I'm glad we get to see them rocking out before the idols perform. Splatoon is always such a bop~ This was so amazing! I absolutely the vocalists of Deep Cut here, and that cameo from Off The Hook was lovely~ Respect the instrumentalists as well, they deserve it~

OMG NAHHH i felt like squealing when i saw off the hook’s new fits!! pearl is so silly and its so cute when pearl and frye fist bump eachother 😭😭

im so glad they focused on deep cut and their dances more than random, uneven zoom outs/close ups and cuts to the band. the last performance we barely got to see any of the choreography and had to zoom in ourselves to see them. the camera quality is much better as well, and it has good saturation and contrast so they dont look gray. till depth do us part was amazing and is my favorite song out of the others in the set list

Did anyone notice how freakin WIDE Shiver's mouth is? If she would open her mouth as wide as possible, she would clearly resemble a shark with that huge mouth of hers. Now I understand why she is one with them which is a beautiful thing

This was so fun but something was really lost without an audience. Listening/watching the previous concerts, you hear people get SO excited hearing their favorite songs or seeing other characters show up or even just the little interactions. Shame on those that threatened this event. This was just going to be pure, clean fun. :(

Seeing Paper A Thousand Year doors sequence at the end gave me goosebumps still cant believe this game is coming to switch.

Do not forget that the reason there is no live audience for this or the Zelda orchestra performance is because some pathetic terrible person made threats against organizers of the Splatoon tournament in Tokyo which caused that, the Splatoon finals, and the Mario Kart tournaments, and the whole Nintendo Live event to be cancelled. May that person face justice.
