I think it might have ties with deadfish, who may or may not be another high ranking octoling official. I feel like Marina has some larger role in the plot of the DLC, but I have no idea what could come from this. Marina is probably just going to, in typical splatoon fashion, be controlled by whatever force is at play (never heard that one before)

You can also hear a voice in the background at 3:43 , I had thought it was Acht, but we hear her voice at 1:27 . Acht's voice is higher and more nasally than the voice on the permanant upgrade screen, so it could very well be Marina or a pre-recording/AI of her!

Trust me you get used to it quick just imagine playing a 2 hour run in risk of rain to just get one shot and start over but that’s the fun of it

Something I noticed was, the more color chips you get, the more vibrant your ink becomes!

To think it's been 5 years since we've seen Off the Hook and Inkopolis Square.

Imagine being on your last life and getting an 8 ball level right before the final boss where you have to guide it across a tightrope

@@normanred9212 rougelikes are so fun though when you finally beat them its feel so good and every run is always different than each other i know some popular rougelikes like dead cells and risk of rain 2 arnt that different in every run but from people who have played side order early they have said theres tons of levels and objective types and alot of the upgrades bring new gameplay additions not every upgrade is just a stat upgrade like most rougelikes and to unlock new weapons according to the website and people who played early you have to beat a boss to get a key to unlock a new weapon and theres only 3 bosses in a run and a person who played early said he played about 3 runs in 2 hours and his highest floor was 17 and there is only 30 floors so 1 run shouldn't take to long

If that's the base weapon's kit, there's a chance for getting it as a replica for multiplayer (not confirmed). While this would be annoying because paywall, hopefully there's another way to get them without dlc. Maybe beat after alterna with the different weapons. It would be similar to the dlc and similarly difficult.

Looks like I got into this game at just the right time. Picked it up a couple of days ago and already hooked, and now a single-player rogue-like mode is being added? Amazing.

Gonna warn you incase you pickup splatoon 4 at launch- Servers always get massacred the first few months this game is out- The best experience is always about this far into the games life, but a big part about these games are how much content they give us over time, the game started with 6 stages and now we have 22. We have more weapons, new subs, and specials simce the launch. Seeing the game evolve is pretty neat too. I had to take a break after launch because of connection issues but the last few weeks have been the best splatoon experience Ive had across all 3 of it's installments. 🙃 Glad to see new players still! :D

Yea, me too. Ive been playing splat since the first game but i only got the 3rd one last month and also feel the same. With a balanced meta and many stages and weapons i got hooked instantly

If you like this single player, I recommend picking up splatoon 2 for its DLC, "octo expansion" as well. Great single player mode that ramps up the difficulty from the original single player campaign!

The pearls currency shows Nintendo knows how to do a good roguelike and that they've been paying attention to what games like Dead Cells and Hades did right. I.e. you might have lost all your progress, but every run has new possibilities because you don't start completely empty handed.

It's called padded out gameplay due to lack of story, material, and ideas. Idk wtf these devs are thinking, Splatoon 3 has been nothing but bad choices and decisions nonstop besides the main story mode. This will NOT save the game, now if the roguelite feature was an unlockable mode that would be fine but for the main mode it is BAD

@@normanred9212 hope i dont come off as aggressive here (i struggle with tone alot) but have you done anything but complain about rougelites in this comment section? most of the time i click on view replies for random comments on this video and its you again i get that you dont like them and thats very fair, me neither really, but i dont think its going to kill the game (yeah i agree that alot of choices have sucked), plus nobodys forcing you to buy the DLC. chill out and get something nice for yourself, theres better things in life than complaining about a silly cephalopod game DLC not being in the game type you want. this is going to sound weird from a random internet stranger but remember to take care of yourself i guess, hope you have a nice day!

I can all Ready tell this dlc music is gonna SLAP 👏

This voice actress startled and amazed me. Her tone clicks into the setting's eerie, sterile, synthesised theme perfectly, like a missing jigsaw piece. I honestly at first expected this to get that energetic narrator which debuted in the Splatoon 3 direct, but how can I complain about who it actually got? Also, are we once again getting exotic experimental music tracks? You bet I'm excited for those!

As a huge enjoyer of both roguelikes AND splatoon the amount of hype i'm experiencing is R A D I A N T right now Also, funny little mistake i noticed, in 3:21 when Agent i gets splatted the little soul that comes flying out is squid shaped rather than octopus shaped

I love how soulless the narrator sounds, just adding more ambient to the nature of order in the square

A nice little gift for my birthday. MC Princess splatting in remotely with her drone. Pearls as currency = fun touch. Chaos was the main game so order for Story DLC makes sense.

I don't like roguelikes normally but with Splatoon gameplay and characters, I think I might actually like it.

The pastel color palette looks SO GOOD! And even though it's completely different, I feel like the roguelike genre is going to work so well with the base Splatoon mechanics. Will definitely be picking this up when it launches!

So we finally got a Splatoon rouge lite

what i noticed was, more and more you go up in levels, more and more "glitches" occur in the background, maybe it shows how this world of order is becoming chaotic? leading up to the final boss?
