SRV was just crazy-good! His LITTLE WING is iconic for me. Hard to believe we're coming up to 32 years ago since his death - RIP.

ANd he has fans in Eastern Europe, Bulgaria too :)
Fun facts: The bassist, Tommy Shannon, played with Johnny Winter at Woodstock 1969. There’s a wicked video of Johnny Winter and Edgar Winter doing TOBACCO ROAD live that you just have to experience. Tommy Shannon plays with the two brothers.

He already reacted to that one. You do know that you can search what was already reacted to by clicking on one's search tab to the right of the "about" tab on their home page, don't you?

That is a great concert but you don't get to see Tommy very well it is so dark and the camera wasn't on him much. But a good video of them together would be "Mean Street Blues".🎶🎸

I got to see Johnny play at the Picklebarrel in Vermont about 30 years ago. I'll forget it.

More fun facts to add . Reese Wynans played with Clapton on a great album called Just One Night . Live album. My go to album when Clapton comes to mind.
Eric Clapton once said in an interview that he couldn't watch Stevie Ray playing live for more than a half-hour or so, before having to turn away in order to retain confidence in his own playing. Stevie Ray Vaughn was the greatest ever of this genre.

Clapton also said SRV was the one guitarist who he never wanted to play after too. Too hard to follow that act.

Clapton was always a jealous bastard. Even after jimi played killing floor he stormed off angrily saying “you didnt tell me he was that good”.

I'm a writer. My words are unique and good enough. But I can't read a really great writer for too long before everything I do comes out a cheap copy. I simply have to keep to the academically good stuff or I'd hate everything I write.
When Stevie’s eyes close the musical gods take him over

What do you mean? He IS a musical god :)
A year ago this very performance of "Mary Had A Little Lamb" was my introduction to SRV. Changed my life! It made me a fast and forever fan who just can't get enough of him. Love you, love you, LOVVVVE you, Stevie Ray! What's more is that the Double Trouble team of Tommy, Chris, and Reese is fantastic, and each member knew Stevie really appreciated their talent, their friendship, and their support. Chod, you will have a blast seeing your wife hear more of SRV, and you now will be able to enjoy him together. She has some great viewing/listening ahead... with a lot of amazement and delight in store. There's nobody like SRV!
I am proud to say that I just saw Reese on the keys this past January! He plays for Joe Bonamassa now!
The broken Tooth was Life Without You at the Capital Theatre in Passaic NJ. It's his best vocal and has a beautiful message. She'll love it.
She needs a lot more SRV, like "Texas Flood Live At Elmocambo" -- or Look at Little Sister, and SOOO many more

You guys are such a cool couple..thanks for doin stevie, i was lucky enough to see him in the late 80's at red rocks in colorado.
Unbelievable, especially I have listened to Stevie Ray, countless times. I still get emotional, hight . GREAT REACTION 👍 OH YEAH MORE KEEP THEM COMING 👍
Welcome to another SRV fan!!! SRV is the GOAT! Lots to watch and enjoy! Before Stevie Ray died, he did an album with his brother, Jimmie Vaughan (Fabulous Thunderbirds), called "Family Style". Check out the album. Jimmie did a wonderful tribute song to SRV called "Tick Tock" very moving. We lost a great musician, but Jimmie lost his brother.
She'd flip out over Texas Flood.
That’s the most excited I’ve seen Dee! Another SRV fan is born. That was great to watch and to listen too. 🔥
Your wife is great, you should do more reactions to Stevie Ray Vaughan with her by your side ❤🎉😊
Good one to start her out with next you gotta show her Texas Flood live at the El Macombo or life without you live at the Capital Theater
I'm in. Show her more SRV. I love watching people experiencing this level of genius.
And a shout out to that amazing bass. Superb from all of them... R.I.P. SRV 💖
You know in the Chuck Berry song " Johnny B Goode", "But could play a guitar just like a ringing a bell". That's Stevie Ray Vaughan.
My first time seeing Mrs Chod. lovely lady, GREAT EYEBROWS
Stevie’s solos can go for minutes at a time! With such speed, strength, feel, SOUL!! And as he’s going for those looooooooong solos (that I’ve never heard anyone else even get near him) he finds his way right back home…..,WHICH IS VERY VERY VEEEEERY HARD TO DO!! Stevie can solo FOREVER, then come up for air , then finds his way back home to the same sound the rest of the band was at!! SRV , truly incomparable!! Rest easy Brawdy 🙏🏼😉
Grew up in the bars around austin, Club Foots, AJ,s, steamboat, Continental club, antones, Rome Inn, seeing SRV cut his teeth….a lot of fun, hanging with the real Cboy, backstage, selling BBQ at TBird Fest, SRV was the best and sorely missed today. Getting clean he was on the way to put out incredible music, his light went out far too soon.
Show your wife sound check. Get to see multiple styles he does in that one. Texas Flood Live At The El Mocambo is a must too.
She got it. How great is that. Lovednit. Thanknyou
The part where he grabs a new pick is insanely cool. Also Tommy, Chris, and Reese bring the song together very well along with Stevie's playing🔥🤙🏼
"Git it Reese" killin it !!!!
Oh cool she just climbed into the rabbit hole! 😎
There is an autobiography of him called “caught in the crossfire” very inspirational read. He suffered addiction and was clean the last several years of his life before the accident. One could only imagine the music he would have put out.

"Stevie played the blues the way the blues was meant to be played" B.B King
So glad you are experiencing Stevie. I saw him live and it was the most amazing concert I ever saw.
The wife needs to hear some Riveria Paradise
You're preaching to the choir. Stevie was a gift from God and Jimmi😍. Welcome to the Stevie club✌️
There so much Albert King influences in Stevies playing, to of my favorite blues artist, love it!!

Loved this reaction with your Wife, love your channel.
The guitar face is a real thing. Imagine using your fingertips to slide up and down high tension cheese wire ;p . Loved this video guys, you have a new subscriber. Big love to all people :)
Hey, thanks for letting me jam to some Stevie with you two!
Give it up for the piano player too! Amazing! All of them! 😍😍😍
I feel like you would love his MTV Unplugged version of his song “Testify” he is playing a 12 string guitar and absolutely destroys the stage🔥
I still say this song was nothing more than a good excuse to have a great jam session!!🤔😂🤣😂🤣
Tommy Shannon is the most underrated bass player of all time
If you noticed in this song he says the fleece was black as coal, on the studio version he says white as snow
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 THE goat of all goats Yessir! Gotta show your beautiful bride Life Without You at Capitol Theater and Texas Flood at El Macambo.
Dee is gonna pass out when she sees "Texas Flood" at the El Mocambo!!! Lol.
You need to show her from the same live concert in Houston Texas when he plays his greatest ever tune called "Riviera Paradise" but only from that same concert coz it's the best version of it mate.
I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn in 1987, Couldn't Stand the Weather tour, it was amazing his figures were like a blurs on the guitar.
Yep, super cool! Thx guys!
Willie the Wimp was one of his early hits . classic
Now you need to show her Texas Flood

................at the El Mocambo!!!
Stevie used heavy strings, like an .013 high E, rather than .009 or .010 which would be more typical for rock guitarists. Using bass strings would break things, either the strings or possibly guitar parts. Stevie tuned down a half step (like Hendrix) which lowered tension a little bit. Still heavy tension.

Strongest fingers in rock...shut up😇😂👍🏾🤌🏾
Reese is now with Joe Bonamassa. Can you imagine playing with Stevie and then Joe. OMG!!
You also need to show her his video of Look At Little Sister, when he broke a string and had to change guitars MID-SONG!
Your wife needs to hear Stevie Ray Vaughan. Texas Flood Live at the El Mocambo.
I wish we learned Nursery Rhymes like this in school.
This is a cover of Buddy Guy’s version of Mary Had A Little Lamb.. you should check out Buddy Guy’s version
Watching reaction videos of SRV always puts a smile on my face. Always makes my mood better. And love your channel Wilburn.
In 1983 I got my first sentient year of what kind of impact music would have on my heart and although I may venture out during my lifetime. It's always the feeling I needed to come home to and that's the blues.. Stevie Ray Vaughn first hit album came out in 1983, I believe right after he graced a cameo guitar solo for "Let's Dance" (David Bowie) I had a triple- threat #1SRV #2 Randy Rhodes and Ozzy entire "Diary Of A Madman" and album and #3 Angus and Malcolm Young bros of AC/DC and everything before "Back In Black" ( AC/DC is BADASS with Brian Johnson too but Bon Scott years laid the foundation!!!) especially for my formative years. "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" title track.. of course the following year Led Zeppelin/John Bonham commandeered my eardrums with "D'yer M'aker" please consider reacting to "In The Evening" the studio version from Led Zeppelin "In Through The Outdoor" album.. Alas, here's a link I've seen a few times on KZread about SRV and big bro Jimmy struggle and climb to get their music, especially the blues.... to The masses!! (I didn't fact check anything.) it had archives of interview clips and home videos..I think.. but this is for entertainment and no legal use so.. you love and appreciate Stevie and so do I.. And now your beautiful wife knows who this wonderful musician and artist is ! I love your channel.. Chod, here's a couple of links that I think you'll, at least, appreciate. Godspeed. :) #1 kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4KAvK9sdKmferg.html This one is a Guitar Center one I found when looking for Sumlin and low and behold. He's playing with another favorite of mine.. Kenny Wayne Shepherd... they're performances is beyond words for me.. please consider reacting to Born With A Broken Heart by Kenny Wayne Shepherd... He was 17ish when I first heard this one and mistook him for SRV #2 kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4usu8uCaa7PpZc.html And here's a bonus ... I'm not asking for you to react to either of these (unless you feel COMPELLED!!! ) ;P Last but by no means Least #3 www.americanbluesscene.com/10-things-you-didnt-know-about-hubert-sumlin-2/ Thank you for your honest breakdowns
Buddy Guy was the first to do this song back in the late 60's I believe or early 70's.
Sir Stevie can slay a nursery rhyme and create a rock/blues standard
Notice Reese playing on the black keys a lot, SRV was always tuned a half tone low. Matching a bass was easy but a keyboard comes standard, so you have play on the flats.
This was a post-rehab, “clean” SRV. He plays with a focus and intensity that’s hard for your mind to understand. The man was on a mission. God bless his soul.
just amazing
Good evening Wliburns! This is a JAM!!!😎
The music just flowed out of SRV - amazing. Reece Wynans killed it every time too, and still does.
You are so excited to share! Very cute.
You definitely have to love stevie.i seen you drummer. I could see you jamming with him
Chod, I still get a kick out of your 1st SRV reaction. It was "Voodoo Child" from this same Austin show & you should show her that too. It floors EVERYbody! So glad Dee loved our favorite guitar god!💙☮💙
I saw SRV live no less than a dozen times and he never ceased to amaze me. He is the ABSOLUTE GOAT !!!!
Ah I miss all those REAL musicians so much. R.I.P. & thank you SRV !!!
One of Stevie Ray's joints in the late '70s in Austin, The Rome Inn, burned down a couple of months ago. The Rome Inn was an Italian ristorante just north of the Univ of Texas campus, and in the mid'70s, the owners installed a stage at one end of the long rectangular floor, and cleared some of the tables out to allow dancing and performances. It closed in the mid-80s and was reopened as the Texas French Bread Bakery, also featured more acoustics (less loud) acts. Then burned down a couple of months ago. Occasionally, I've seen early SRV videos filmed from his Rome Inn days/nights.
That makes music so good
She HAS GOT TO react to Texas Flood. Her mind will be blown. Enough said.
You should check out leave my girl alone, cold shot and tightrope from this same show. Also the video tick tock with him and Jimmie Vaughan released after Stevie’s death.

Well done and well played sir!!! Another first time, lifelong fan comin' right up!! ;)
I have that DVD of that performance in Austin City Limits I love it so much It is in my WILL. Ya gotta show her Voodoo Chile
LOL Wilburn. You've grown so much that you expected your sweet wife to have done so as well. You are both gems though.
She would LOVE "Lenny" or his beautiful version of "Little Wing". No words. All soul.
You are my favorite person in the world once of the best you are cool i like you
Rese winens is so good on the organ
top 10 ever guitar heros
You gotta have her watch the go-to performance of Texas Flood - live at El Mocambo.
Yes, Love Stevie Ray!
New kid on the block is the Marcus King Band, start with Rita is gone, then Goodbye Carolina from jam in the van.
SRV, Saw him live in 86 & didn't know it would be the last. Turned down 2 other shows & then, he was gone! 😫
3:40 Stevie said, 'Get it Reese.' Show of hands (raises own hand) who here things Reese definitely 'got it'? Lol seriously though, that piano player was having fun. Someone clearly enjoys his job.
Stevie Ray Vaughan & Santana - Coal Train
Buddy Guy and Stevie both did this...because they could.
Great song to start with. He is the goat. He had played til his callouses off then super glued them back on and continued to play.
Just sitting here going through a bunch of your videos and I just watched Jeff Healey see the light same keyboard player. Reese Wynans.
The GOAT !
You need to checkout the video Stevie Ray Vaughn The rise of a Texas blues man 1954 -1991 documentary of legends 1999
Just think of how much more he had to share with us
That'd be hilarious if she reacted to your reaction of SRV!! I'd love watcing that!
Gather around children and witness the Legend that is SRV...
Now that she has lost her Vaughanginity, she needs to experience Texas Flood live at the Mocambo!

NO MAMES! 😂😂😂 “Vaughanginity” I love that jajajajajajajajajajajajaja
I should have known better than to listen to this before I was going to bed. Now I feel like moving. Stevie was a badass boy.
The keyboardist, Reese Wynans, still plays today and recently released a new album. He frequently tours with Joe Bonamassa. One of the greats, for sure.
There's only one recording video should see, early 80s, Austin City Limits. Bowie found him and put him on his, Let's Dance, album. Bowie said he was the greatest guitarist he ever heard. He asked SRV to stay in his hand...that he would make him rich and famous. SRV turned him down, said he had to do music his own way.
Santana & Stevie, my two favorite guitarist’s
This is a cover of a Buddy Guy song who is also worth exploring.
In my opinion srv is the goat. Props must be given to double trouble, world class musicians in their own right.
