You would love this comparison of the same song sung by both Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand. A song Barbra made famous in the 60s: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n6Nhj5tribzZYM4.htmlsi=C8RmzhH4kVpgT3FG

Great song , loved it back then still do. Betty was a great singer. She did a fantastic duet with Jerry Butler, Let it be Me. I read Cher was a background singer in You Lost that Loving Feeling by Righteous Brothers. Actually Cher did a great cover of this fantastic song, she has the pipes sounded awesome.

As a 67 yr old who ran sound for a busy bar band in the 80s your reactions to the classic rock is great I love it when young people of all generations appreciate real talent. No auto tune.

I saw them for 4 or 5 tours starting in 1982. For their Wheels Are Turnin tour in 1985 we had front tow center, and they opened with this song! Survivor opened up for them, they had a big album out at the time. So it was almost like a double header!

From excerpts of a book chronicling my journey-this was 1969: "We couldn’t get enough live music. It became a weekend ritual for us to attend concerts at the Pasadena Rose Palace. The band lineups were awesome in those days. Many bands were not quite megastars yet, so you could catch Jethro Tull, the Grateful Dead, and Paul Butterfield on the same night. One particular evening, it was Alice Cooper, Eric Burdon, and Lee Michaels. WOW! Lee Michaels was a two-man wrecking crew, with Lee on the Hammond organ and Frosty on the drums. I was standing near the stage with a perfect view. When they were introduced, the emcee announced, “Out of San Francisco, Lee Michaels,” but Lee immediately corrected the emcee, exclaiming with regional pride, “No, not San Francisco, we are from LA,” and immediately exploded with a dynamic organ intro to “Tell Me How Do You Feel,” which may have been the loudest and most electrifying Hammond organ ever. He had an ideal voice for this fast bluesy number, and Frosty, the drummer, matched Lee’s explosive energy. Lee interjected well-timed soulful screams throughout his lengthy, passionate number: Would you be happy, would you be sad, When you lost the best girl ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! After Frosty’s sensational drum solo, the half-hour song finally concluded. Many of us were left standing with our jaws open at what we had just witnessed. Most of us had never heard of Lee Michaels. We were there for Eric Burdon and Alice Cooper, but Lee Michaels decisively stole the night. Alice Cooper did bring the controversy. He roughed up a chicken on stage and then flung it into the crowd. I remember a fan came up on stage after Cooper’s set, gently holding the chicken. He passionately spoke into the microphone, exclaiming, “What Al-ice Cooper did to this chicken was not cool.” Many in the audience clapped approval and directed angry jeers toward Alice Cooper."

I'm guessing that's a Prophet 5 or 10, possibly a Jupiter 8 if this was recorded in 81. edit: paused at 5:02 Its an Oberheim one of the big three early 80's synths (Prophet 5(10) Jupiter 8 and Oberheim X series).
