Wayne’s skillset, versatility, impact, longevity, body of work, and like you said leadership (Drake and Nicki) makes him the 🐐. Can’t name another rapper who literally OWNED the game and had it on a chokehold for a solid 4-5 years. Just think about the albums, mixtapes and features. Drake and Nicki were top 5 in the 2010s. Wayne is bigger than hip hop. He made everyone bring their A game on tracks and a whole generation wanted to be like Wayne. To me, Wayne is the Kobe of Hip Hop.

Wayne changed the influence on culture. It's the reason I respect him more than most rappers. I don't like what rap has become, but a lot of rappers try to emulate him and its sad to see their lack of talent. He's literally a genius at what he does.

I don't disagree. Eminem with Dre created the whole aftermath culture when 50 Cent came out. And they traded back and forth for a while until Lil Wayne dominated the market. He made both Nicki and Drake. There was. Period of time where they were untouchable. Wayne even outsold Kayne and Jay Z together when they made their collab album.

I love Wayne but I can’t put him over Tupac. He did more than just rap and he actually lived and unfortunately died by his word. A lot of these rappers have been able to rap about and profit off these lifestyles they don’t actually live or even condone. Wayne is super creative and has a way with words that most don’t but that’s all he have done is rap. Tupac transcended “rap” and truly left words and influence as well as his actions has continue to help mold us as a race and culture. I love both tho. Tupac just more dynamic and layered

Wayne has been relevant in rap for over 20 yrs. He revolutionized the mixtape game. He revolutionized the mainstream game. Easily the most influential rapper of all time. Gave us TWO other arguable GOATS. Has the catalog to compete with multiple other arguable GOATS in a versus and not even use the same tracks. His work ethic is unmatched. I can go on and on but the fact that he is an arguable goat can't be debated.

Think about the impact 2 pac continuous to make 27 years after his death. Tupacs clothing still sells. Albums still sell, stories are still told and his music is still playing everywhere because it’s timeless. Lil Wayne’s music was great but it was only great during the times it was hot.

And i fuck with wayne hard as a teen but eventually we grow up and realize people aren't always who they appear to be. He has writers he never made a good body of work after carter 3 because the writers on that album made it a classic

This is where I think people go wrong with Wayne. He's a beast. Some people only judge his albums, some people judge his features which are amazing, but most overstep his mixtapes where he kills it. He has his fair amount of Dad jokes and puns, but when you really listen to songs where he stays on one particular topic it's the best.
