One of a kind for sure. I turned 16 around 1998 +\- and bought a 91 4wd ramcharger for around $800. I painted it dark blue with sliver flake mixed into the basecoat, put a 4” Skyjacker lift kit with 33” BFG mud terrains, and installed a $2200 stereo system. I blew out my 12” JL Audio subs AND my bandpass box in Port A,TX jamming DMX on the beach. I hope this song plays at my funeral. RIP dmx ✊

DMX was the first rap to ever bless my ears.. 9 years old at the park this kid put his headphones to my ear and that was the first time I ever heard that much cursing in music it was sooo dope

I swear people don’t understand just how legendary this man is!!! He’s arguably the greatest to ever do it!!! And I’m so sad he left us so early!

He isn't the best to ever do it, he did how ever have a massive impact on rap with his anthems and distinctive voice. This man unfortunately had alot of demons with his drug addiction was the big reason people didn't want to do business with him.

@@slingshotdon it’s opinion based. Impact, sales, legendary tracks/albums. I’ll put X at the top of my list any day. But that’s what is great about Hip Hop. If you said Em, Nas, Pac, Big, Kast, etc... we could have that argument fairly.

But if you're going to Drop categories dmx isn't the most gifted and hasn't dropped a classic album. individual tracks yes he definitely has a bunch . only categories he's top 20 in is Influence/ cultural impact and live performances. And if you wanted to get a club hyped there's no denying if that was a category then yes that the only area he's top 3 possibly top, ruff rider anthem gets the crowd hyped like no other.

@@slingshotdon Honestly ...you can't name another rapper that recorded 2 platinum albums released same year...(and in doing so won couple million in a bet from Lyor who said it couldn't be done)...and not just my opinion it's solid fact: his 3rd album - ....and then there was X. is a classic album every song could have been a single ..not sure why you dismissed his discography as if...he didn't have full album heat....I most definitely have to say you must not be a fan of Rap music or Rap artist in general...to say what you said about DMX music with so much confidence in your opinionated knowledge about it.
