Have any of you experienced the whites of your eyes changing colors? What did you do to help it, if anything? Did it work?

I went through months of red eyes and blepharitis; I do have dry eyes. Only steriods seemed to help. Months later of on/off steriods so my ocular pressure didn't get out of hand, my docs think I have a toxicity to BAK - the preservative in most multi-dose eye drops, including steriod drops. Plus, I'd use Lumify and low and behold it also has BAK. BAK is known to cause issues with a large number of people who are on multi dose eye drops. After stopping everything but restasis the blepharitis and severe redness resolved. I still have some redness and would love to see Lumify in single dose vials. Do you have any other suggestions for red removal that is safe and doesn't have preservatives?

Alcohol. The bane of human existence. I work at a bar and it's really sad seeing my younger collegues drink more and more each week. I notice their eyes turning a bit more yellow over time. It's not attractive at all and it's sad how people don't realise how damaging alcohol can be.

From HS, I've had slightly reddish eyes. I went to HS on a Caribbean Island and wondered if this might have been caused by the sun and/or proximity to sea water. I asked an eye doctor and he advised it was PIGMENTS. I am a dark-skinned man. Another suggested I might have dry eye. Otherwise, my eyesight is fairly good at 62. I used to work at a hotel's front desk overnight and a guest made a complaint about me including a reference to my "bloodshot" eyes. I didn't know if my eyes were especially bloodshot that night or if he was responding to how my eyes normally look. In any case, he was clearly casting aspersions and I was deeply offended - especially considering how ludicrous his complaint was.

I live in Africa and here there is so much fine dust in the air and everywhere. My eyes have always been decent white. Then I noticed that people who go out often or people who drive bikes have red/yellowish eyes. I noticed my cousins who don't go out often have very clear eyes. Now I'm pretty sure the huge dust cause some kind of irritation/inflammation where overtime the eye becomes more and more red/yellowish. Since a month I have been rainsing my eyes with plain clean bottled water 3 times a day. Just a small amount of water to remove that dust that can be sleeping in the eyes. And... I have already noticed my eyes are slightly clearer, wow! I can defintely see the improvement in pictures too.

Thanks for your video Dr Wong. What are your views on eye whitening treatments? I have benign nevi/pigments on both eyes that lower my confidence, but I read that these procedures have high rates of complications. Is that true? I would love to have this done but not at a high risk.

My eyes suddenly became brown/red/ dirty ever since I got pregnant and gave birth I was 20yo then now I’m 27 and my eyes are not pleasant at all ,so when I’m going out on a date or somewhere importing use collyre blue occasionally,but after hours my eye becomes super red and dirty ..now my eyes are just not soothing at all ,did all the natural remedies etc but no avail ..doc what can I do

I am allergic to metals, especially nickel but also copper. I would like to know if copper as a skincare ingredient can make me react. Something makes me trigger dermatitis, especially around the eyes, and I can't figure out what, could copper peptides, copper Gluconate (LRP Cicaplast Baume B5 has it) and other coppers do that to me? so desperate! That will definitely be different for everyone. If you want to risk it, be very careful! Maybe try it on a small part of your skin first.

could you also explain what causes the blood vessels so visible,with aging ,like i see so many small capillaries in my eyes,is it normal to have them? and is there a way how to stop them from showing up? and whats exactly causing them? (also i have ticks wich makes move my eyes around a lot,and i have this feeling of pressure to move them and sometimes it hurts my corner of the eye..idk how to stop doing that. p.s im not havine any caffeine) do u have any reccomendations to my problem? 😮‍💨 Thank you and i love your videos!

Makeup is wreaking hell on inflammation in and around my eyes. I’m so sick of trying things Dr. I thought fragrance free would have been the source but no. I cannot figure out what is causing it. Removers for the eyes are unbearable. So I use Vaseline and I’m sure that’s prob not good either but idk what else. If anyone relates please drop me a comment. Thanks Dr!!! When I was suffering with recurring styes (semi resolved with the help of doxycycline as soon as one starts up) my doc informed me he saw thickening in the white of my eye, resulting in a "halo" around my brown pupils. He claims no way to prevent that. I'm 68, any suggestions with diet or supplements I can use to prevent it worsening. I worked for a guy once who had really thick, yellow and goopy eye whites. It grossed me out so much I can't stand the thought of getting like that.

Can i get lumify for surfers eye?

I have permanent red veins from contact usage, there is no cure besides dangerous surgery. It's actually quite depressing. I always look high or tired and there's nothing I can do. Lumify has BAK as a preservative that is very hard on the eyes if used long term.

My eyes are super yellow and scary what can I do to improve them

The lumify drops work for the kind of cloudy redness in the eyes and can soften some of those lines but don't get rid of the lines. Does anyone know how to actually get rid of the lines? I'm 26 and my eyes were perfectly white up until about 24 and a half and now it's hard not to be insecure about it. Eye doctor says that my vision is fine and no diseases.

You might have dry eyes. Do ur eyes tend to get watery often? Are the eyes a consistent red throughout the day or do they get redder in the evening?

@@REREMO I'm sure I do have dry eyes. They're not consistently red they were red this morning so i cleared them up with a drop of lumify. It's mainly the red lines (I think blood vessels) that show all the time and no one seems to know how to fix it :(

If the redness is especially persistent on the middle area of your sclera, that's a key sign of dry eyes. The redness in the morning is also a sign of dry eyes. My advice is to book a dry eye assessment at an eye clinic . Dry eyes tend to get worse as time passes so the quicker you seek help the better.

Be careful with Lumify. I became dependent on them, and they became less and less effective. Had to quit cold turkey.

Lumify is good for an immediate effect, however, when I wake up the next day the redness in my eyes is worse. And it lasts a couple of days.

I have a few small patches of light brown discolouration in my eyes, I tried to ask my eye doctor any recommendations for how I can make it lighter but he didn’t really recommend anything other than saying it’s not harmful. @crystalw.6033 My eyes were never pure white, but they did turn a couple of shades whiter when I quit. I drank about three days a week.mostly on the weekends, socially. I was never alcohol dependent, but I felt like I was drinking more than I should.

Hey Khan! Please start watching at 1:36. There are causes other than jaundice. Make sure you schedule an appointment with your PCP!

I had chronic "pink eye" that was finally (perhaps negligently to the other clinics) diagnosed as genetic autoimmune uveitis. Don't ignore red eyes, and if something seems really off, doctor shop until you find someone who takes you seriously.
