@@cldus7442 Not just early Samsung, pretty much any early non-Apple smartphone had user-replaceable batteries (I think the tipping point towards non-removables was around 2015). And they do indeed explode enough to severely maim a person and can easily be induced to do so. Whether they are removable or not.

@@connerworkshop5673 i dont think it has to do with the heat in general bro. I think its the way a microwave heats things and how an oven does it. Ovens are usualy hot air. Microwave uses microwaves that cause particles to get excited and heat up. As excited particles bump into each other and cause energy to be released. And energy = heat. :)

Some really amazing footage in here. I didnt know lithium could emit red/magenta like that.

It would be interesting to know if the reason the second, single battery reacted differently than the first single battery did due to a power change in the microwave due to damage from the first one instead of just a difference In position. A way to measure the difference in the microwaves output between tests would be very interesting to see, between each of these tests. I would also be interested in seeing a test of the electrical output of each battery before and after each test. Easier said than done I'm sure haha. Great video as always. Love you guys!

Here's the official word: "When a microwave runs without anything inside, or if an item contains no water molecules, the microwaves in the machine will be redirected into the magnetron. Another tip, don't place items in the center, place them towards the edges, ALL microwaves have hot or cold spots, that's why they have a turntable to keep things from sitting in one spot, but one place that always sits in the same spot is the center, that middle spot can be a hot spot, a cold spot or even medium, but the best advice is to not put things in the center of the turntable.
