Making a Mini Sun in a Microwave! Microwaving Fire to Make Plasma in My Top Secret Microwave
Ойын-сауық
In this video I show you what happens when you microwave fire! I talk about what a plasma is and how it forms. Then I show you how a plasma can be made in a microwave. I use my secret microwave where I can show you what is happening inside without that pesky mesh in the way blocking the view.

Will a vacuum cleaner work in a vacuum chamber? :D
@mrrutledge1967

Krasko Mato No. I would run but no suction or exhaust. It would just over heat like a fan would. Put feathers in front of a fan in vacuum chamber and the feathers won't move when the chamber is pumped down.

I think the bright spots down in the fire that looks like stars in the camera looks way cooler than than the plasma.
Finally a video, that explains plasma in a mincrowave, awesom channel! :)
Such a dope video and the way you explain it is great! love it!
You really should patent the microwave, It might get popular :)

Other people have done it. This is probably how: "The easiest solution is to use a fiber-optic camera, i.e. one with a fiber-optic connection between the front lens and the actual camera electronics. You can easily bend the fiber (but not too much!). You can now make a small hole in the microwave (smaller than the wavelength, insert the fiber. Bend the fiber and wrap it in aluminium foil. There will be little leakage through the hole, and the microwaves that do leak will be absorbed by the foil."

Awesome dude, thanks for explaining how it works
wow way cool and can't wait to see you there!
You can see plasma at the bottom of the fire which rises up through it to the ceiling.

You should try containing the Plasma in a Magnetic Field and create FUSION :P, lol cool vid
You can contain this in a glass container raised slightly off the floor of the microwave
Beavis would love this.
outside a microwave oven you would have a cool plasma gun
Everybody gangsta until the mini sun gets bigger
Drill a hole at the bottom and put the tesla coil arc in the microwave, then turn it on! I have been wondering about this since i was young.
Thank you Action Lab for a very beautiful video. Please, if you would, explain : my understanding is that Oxygen combines with Carbon as Carbon Dioxide, which produces light, but then the light runs out. Here, you are feeding light back into the CO2, therefore it keeps on giving light, whereas normally it would stop doing it. Am I correct in thinking the plasma ball is a ball of CO2 ? Again, thank you very much for a beautiful video, I wish you a good afternoon. -Sebastian MB
@svensanchez2380
3 жыл бұрын
hi sebastian MB my understanding is that carbon C acts as a fuel for the plasma ball as this is in a microwave oven on earth, we can say that C+O2+microwaves→CO2+plasma most probably CO2 acts as a residue and o2 acts as the oxidising agent respectfully, it would be wrong to say that plasma is a ball of CO2 as the sun , which is our nearest source of plasma functions purely on hydrogen fusion and fission. i could be wrong, im a high school student but i was really fascinated by your question sir good day :)
Don't try this at home or the FIB will come over and ask if there's been alien activity recently. (Yes, that was a joke)
Nice beard! Keep it growing and get, *Cha-Cha*, Fancy! 🎩
FERB! I know what we're gonna do today!
Great explanation! But why is the plasma yellow / orange, not blue like lightning?
@ExplosivePine
2 жыл бұрын
I think it's because it's cold
Hey you should try creating a wormhole out of plasma in theory its possible.
Reminds me of how today it was raining at school and lightning hit the school and the electric room started burning
Pretty sure I know how you’re filing the microwave. Don’t worry your secret is safe with me, call it Engineers Honor. Lol
see the wood down look like star
In an episode of Archer, a character is killed with a "timebomb" consisting of propane from an oven filling the room, then a spoon is frozen in ice and microwaved, the idea being that once the metal is exposed, the microwave will spark and the room will explode. I'm not saying do it with propane, but would that technically work, or would the arcs just shoot through the ice?
Oxyacetyline flame for ordinary torch welding is all plasma......I believe florescent tubes is plasma too.
What would happen, if we would put on fire an object which is emitting microwaves? Anti-gravity propulsion?
Wow! How didn't it melt the microwave and most surprisingly the camera lens down?

I asked for this pretty much on your last video and no shout out 😔 still need to do the grape tho cos that's cooler
Tiny little shredded pieces of aluminum foil, and a few dried banana peels crushed-up and mixed with the aluminum foil
Can I do that at home?
So you created a fusion reactor? XD
0:20 my chromazones in a nutshell
You could easily do this with two grapes lol
can you check if the soot you produce contains graphene? thANK
Can you do one more thing please, 🥺, I want to see how it will look when we apply a high magnetic field between two walls of this microwave 😋
Do this in a vacuum! Use a self oxidizing fuel source probably
Fiber optic lens extender. One tiny hole and your in.
How to easily make a mini campfire
Couldn't you use a candle for a more stable flame and thus a more stable plasma?
Looks like the unburned fuel in the smoke getting ignited by the microwave in a closed environment.
1:45 thank me later
Can your microwave even make gelbanana?
You should put a clear glass bowl upside down over the flame. It will confine the plasma better.
Should have cover the flame with a cover to make and then microwave it. You could have seen a ball of plasma
so what state of matter would fire alone be?
Paradise fires
Does he use glass for the secret microwave?

Hydraulic Press suggestion... Weird idea, but stay with me.... At some point many people have experienced the sad moment of pulling out a squat sandwich out of the lunch box. So disappointing. How about making your favorite sandwich, squashing it and see how flat it gets. Then for added fun, take a bite and see if it's just as good! Obviously you should wrap the sandwich in plastic wrap first. PLEASE!!! Lol. I stumbled across your channel earlier this year and find it both educational and entertaining. Keep it up!

Is that ur sides microwave 😂😂😂😂 just curious
What is that blue light at the back of the microwave before it gets to 2 mins, isn't that Cherenkov radiation? Like what they see in nuclear criticality accidents? I hope I'm wrong as it never seems to end well for the people exposed to it.
where do you live
Put a glass bowl over it
i came from Wooshi999 xd
