Making a Mini Sun in a Microwave! Microwaving Fire to Make Plasma in My Top Secret Microwave

Ойын-сауық

In this video I show you what happens when you microwave fire! I talk about what a plasma is and how it forms. Then I show you how a plasma can be made in a microwave. I use my secret microwave where I can show you what is happening inside without that pesky mesh in the way blocking the view.

    Krasko Mato No. I would run but no suction or exhaust. It would just over heat like a fan would. Put feathers in front of a fan in vacuum chamber and the feathers won't move when the chamber is pumped down.

    Other people have done it. This is probably how: "The easiest solution is to use a fiber-optic camera, i.e. one with a fiber-optic connection between the front lens and the actual camera electronics. You can easily bend the fiber (but not too much!). You can now make a small hole in the microwave (smaller than the wavelength, insert the fiber. Bend the fiber and wrap it in aluminium foil. There will be little leakage through the hole, and the microwaves that do leak will be absorbed by the foil."

    Thank you Action Lab for a very beautiful video. Please, if you would, explain : my understanding is that Oxygen combines with Carbon as Carbon Dioxide, which produces light, but then the light runs out. Here, you are feeding light back into the CO2, therefore it keeps on giving light, whereas normally it would stop doing it. Am I correct in thinking the plasma ball is a ball of CO2 ? Again, thank you very much for a beautiful video, I wish you a good afternoon. -Sebastian MB

  • @svensanchez2380

    @svensanchez2380

    3 жыл бұрын

    hi sebastian MB my understanding is that carbon C acts as a fuel for the plasma ball as this is in a microwave oven on earth, we can say that C+O2+microwaves→CO2+plasma most probably CO2 acts as a residue and o2 acts as the oxidising agent respectfully, it would be wrong to say that plasma is a ball of CO2 as the sun , which is our nearest source of plasma functions purely on hydrogen fusion and fission. i could be wrong, im a high school student but i was really fascinated by your question sir good day :)

    In an episode of Archer, a character is killed with a "timebomb" consisting of propane from an oven filling the room, then a spoon is frozen in ice and microwaved, the idea being that once the metal is exposed, the microwave will spark and the room will explode. I'm not saying do it with propane, but would that technically work, or would the arcs just shoot through the ice?

    What happens if you suck all the air you can out of a balloon, tie it up, and then put this balloon into a vacuum chamber?

    Muzik Bike depending on how much air you leave in it, it should grow as the air pressure outside the balloon lowers.

    My micorwave is not working after doing this! Could it be from the smoke or the plasma effect?

    What is that blue light at the back of the microwave before it gets to 2 mins, isn't that Cherenkov radiation? Like what they see in nuclear criticality accidents? I hope I'm wrong as it never seems to end well for the people exposed to it.
