The Action Lab

The Action Lab

The Action Lab is a channel dedicated to performing exciting experiments and answering questions you never thought to ask! I'll put things in my hydraulic press, vacuum chamber and perform countless other experiments just to watch cool phenomenon. I experiment on the world and objects around me. You'll be so amazed that you'll forget you are even learning anything! Please enjoy as I continually answer the "what would happen if..." questions you have. Feel free to comment with any scientific questions you have about anything. I have made my career as a PhD in Chemical Engineer and now I want to share how awesome science and experimentation can be!

I was trying out Gemini when it first came out and I asked it the problem of someone throwing a baseball 70 mph backwards while standing in a truck traveling 70 mph how fast would the ball be traveling and it kept saying 35 mph I kept asking why 35 mph for probably an hour and it kept giving me the stupidest answers I've ever heard. It's like a kid that answers wrong in class and when the teacher asks why he just BS's and decides to take his answer to the grave

Yesterday, just out of the blue, I asked ChatGPT to come up with celebrities that has the same birthday as me (I told it the exact date of course, just not writing here). Every person it suggested was wrong. Mostly only one information matched out of day, month and year. Sometimes none of them was correct. But when I asked to go and tell me the birthday of a specific person, it could give correct answer. But if I gave the date and wanted to tell me a person that was born on that date, ir failed every time. It thanked me for correcting but a few guesses later it gave the same incorrect person, even though I told it that was wrong.

if you need some formula to calculate how much the speed of something is slowed down given how much time is changed, I don't know bro

Yes, Mythbusters confirmed that an object going the opposite direction at the same rate of travel as it is leaving the barrel will simply hang in mid air and then fall to the ground as if it never moved and act like it just dropped.

If the phase speed inside the water is just the resultant waveform (apparent waveform), why does the light speed slow down if we just look at the original speed of light (light in air) alone? The time for this light shall be constant no matter of the medium in the middle.... Thx
