I don’t have any tattoos, but I’ve worked at places where I’m surrounded by guys with tattoos and see people with tats all day - I did notice that a lot of wild, complex and well done tattoos are just hard to even see unless you’re close to someone, it just sort of looks like a black mass on their body. But with the “traditional” tattoo style and more basic shapes you can usually read what it is before you’re face to face talking to someone. So if I’m being honest I think it looks more flattering most of the time.

You've convinced me to finish off my one arm fully with traditional. I already have a little heart cactus I designed and had someone tattoo on me. I'm thankful I never rushed into getting my tattoos, I currently only have three and only one of them I feel might have been a bit of a bad decision only because of the way it healed and how confusing it looks from afar. My traditional style ones have, like you said, stood the test of time and look fantastic still, however, and this video explained why perfectly ❤

You should get a black work tattoo. For all of the same reasons. Listen if your not into cartoon/ very simple drawings, but you want it to stay the same forever... blackwork. Its kinda the European Traditional style. You have far more freedom within pure blackwork to make mush more complex images that also stand the test of time. Americam trad does all this the best, but large scale blackwork is a clooooose second on longevity.

Where did you learn to tattoo? Can I just learn at home and beg people to let me tattoo them? Just be super sterile? I’d like to learn at a shop but it’s not easy to get one to accept you. I’m gon try again soon.

You don't get a realism black and white sleeve that's all connected in a flow instead patchwork sleeves are so cringe

"black and white" I think you mean black and grey. I've never seen a "realism" sleeve that wasn't anything other than a hot mess. Nothing about realism is designed to connect or flow with the body. You're taking real life images, like a portrait or landscape, and putting it on a contoured body. Next!
