it's an amazing case... but the price is ridiculous!

my pencil pouch is made by my grandma, and she’s made two at that time but i lost one of it when i was on a flight, i still regret taking it with me 😢 She’s now too old to make another one, so I will keep using the one i have right now, even though the ones you guys showed r absolutely stunning ❤❤

Ask her to teach you how to make them. Then later, you can teach your children/grandchildren. Baking with my granddaughter, and teaching her things my mom taught me, are some of my best memories.

In our childhood in Japan, we had over-engineered pencil cases for kids. They had some buttons to open hidden rooms or let pencils stand up.

Ok but all these cases work well for things other than pens. The Lihit silicone case would be great for storing makeup brushes bc it's so easy to clean. I use high capacity pen cases as toilety bags and I also own a flat, slim model for organizing cables and chargers - as a gaget bag basically. Lihit Lab is my favourite brand, but in general, getting Japanese pencil cases instead of designated travel bags buys you a better quality product with more compartments, more thoughtful design and more durable zippers - all for a cheaper price. I hope this helps someone. More travelers should know this hack

The Detecool is amazing, I have two of them. It’s my go-to case for my brush pen field kit. It holds a surprising amount of pens including a few Copics

God I love watching Jetpens videos-the videos are edited nicely and it’s just so relaxing to watch. I bought from them for the first time almost 10 years ago, still get stuff from them from time to time.

I came here to be validated for owning a detecool lol I LOVE it because i have a small drawing kit that i like to take around to different rooms and on the go and it's so cool to just plop it down somewhere and have a cool easy to use pen stand, it's basically the only choice as far as i'm concerned.

My favorite was the Raymay Detecool. I liked how it's design is so modern and how the storage slides out. I don't like how small it is because I am a collector/hoarder. If my school stops making us color with colored pencils that take about half of my case, then it would be great for school.

i loved the kokuyo neocritz worxus. as a school student, it looks the easiest to handle and pull out in class while still maintaining organization

I love the pop up standing cases, it may seems bothersome but it's useful to just take it around and still have the standing pencase option without searching pens, ugh always hated that. of course i bought the lihit cat version but I might look into that bigger version with the phone!

I'd love if you guys carried the Kutsuwa Air Pita pen case! It's like the Sonic Sma Sta case, but thinner and made of silicone. It has a cute snap closure and suctions to flat surfaces so you can use it as a phone stand. I love it and have only seen it at a select few brick-and-mortar Japanese stationary stores near me. It would be great to see a trustworthy retailer like JetPens selling it online!

Definitely keeping my Mead Five-Star. The loops allow you to keep your pencil pouch inside a three-ring binder.

My pencil case is thin but deep one, the neat part is you can zip up the side to compact it down flat, like those packing cubes!

I love these & have a few types, what I really need is one for fountain pens that don't fit skinny pencil slots.

The Kamio Japan Paco-Tray pen cases seem like they'd be excellent at making all my tools accessible without too much digging, but I'm still pretty new to doing makeup and don't have the most expansive collection of brushes and such.

I love my Otobaco♥️ I can tuck my favorites away so my students and substitute teachers don't touch them. They also don't coated in dust like the rest of the classroom. And I can watch my shows on my phone during lunch! ☺️

While my Otobaco stays on my desk, my Lihit Shiba case stays in my teacher bag so my pens and scissors don't jostle around in the bag 👍🏻

The Sonic sma sta is PERFECT if you have cats that keep knocking over your pen cups. Just zip it up and it becomes instantly cat proof! I have two, one for my markers and one for my pens.

I like the detachable Kamio Japan Sepa, but I already have six (yes, six) pen cases, three of which I bought from JetPens!

I miss the Sun-Star Apriu!! Ita is in and more clear window bags are a must

I love all these cases, but I prefer the dopp kit bag I'm currently using for my writing supplies and colored pens.

Had an overengineered pencil case as a kid, it was a rectangle with two main compartments on its top and bottom sides, one has holders for pens and pencils to keep them in place , and the other one is very slim, to keep rulers in it, there are two buttons on the top, one pops up a container on it's side, which can store an eraser in it, and the other pops up a pencil sharpener from the front, the main containers had magnets so it can close tightly, there's also a compass on top, it was blue, it was designed for kids, idk what the makers were thinking when they thought of a kid's pencil case, was cool tho, it's broken now

I saw a pink one like that at a thrift store. I think it also had a calculator in it and cute cartoon designs. I almost bought it for myself but knew it wouldn't hold all my pens and my current case is fine. I was hoping this video would feature it because imo it was peak japanese engineering and way better than the ones in this video designed for adults!
