What made dying light so fun for me was the freedom…most days I would come home from school and not even want to do the story, just do parkour. I can not and never do parkour in real life because of my feet condition and they start to hurt after 10 min of just standing and it can’t be fixed. So being able to jump off rooftops and climb walls like I used to when I was a kid. This game will never die in my heart because it gave me the excitement I wanted just by being in my bedroom.

I remember being so excited to finally shoot a gun in the game, and then realizing what a mistake it was when three virals came at me at once 😀

I just got the PC version recently and started from scratch. Scared again in 1440p 😂. Running out of stamina and no one shot weapons

The most unforgettable thing in dying light was the intro, jumping out the plane and looking at the chaotic city made me excited to explore it, loved the slums and getting on top of radio antennas to look over the city. Also the volatile chase during the final mission was actually scary and ass clenching

Dude no lie!! I had this on my Xbox one a few years back and played the hell out of it. Loved it more than i thought I would for sure. That Xbox took a dive with it's motherboard unfortunately and now I just got it on my Switch yesterday and that intro... I was shocked I didn't remember it like whatsoever. I didn't even remember the thugs that beat Crane senseless before Jade showed up to help. That's insane.

The parkour in the game was awesome, i spend hours just doing parkour around the world, and I can't wait to have that experience in Dying Light 2.

Most repayable game ever created. NEVER gets old.

I remember 2016. I was at GameStop, looking at all the games. Then I see dying light, intrigued, I look at the game's back and at that moment... I immediately knew that I'd love it. And man... Am I glad I bought it. I knew the zombie genre was very oversaturated, but something about dying light felt really unique to me. Maybe it was the parkour, or the gory, satisfying combat. But, damn is this game a Masterpiece.

And it's interesting that you can watch the cinematic trailer for the game as part of the story. It wasn't just a simple trailer to show off a glimpse of the world, but also Brecken's night mission that he and other runners were on that Crane helped prepare. Though this ended up in failure as Rais' men ambushed Brecken, the lone survivor of the team, and gave him his injuries that we see upon first meeting him.

I just started playing Dying Light for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. This game has no business being almost 7 years old. The lighting (the rays of sun!), graphics, atmospheres, combat mechanics, and movement mechanics are better than many new releases. The amount of gameplay in the DLCs is awesome. I know I got all the DLCs all at once, but it feels like an insane amount of content! And I love the non-linearity of the campaign and side quests - I love that you can just ramble around and discover stuff. As a newcomer to the game in 2021, I couldn’t believe it didn’t come out last month! The only thing that dates it is the mouth and facial animations in the cutscenes. My only critique is that it looks like they abandoned the Hellraid DLC. Not gonna lie…I was kind of digging it before it ended abruptly and said “stay tuned for more.” Will 100% be buying DL 2 this year!!

For me, the progression system from being someone that scrambled to find weapons to a God killer is what made dying light so special. That transition from the hunted to the hunter. I'll start new games all the time to relive that.

Techland is truly in my eyes the best gaming studio out there, no other studio has such a strong connection with it's fans. No matter what the reviews will be, I'm sure i'm gonna put hundreds of hours into DL2 just like with the first one.

So many memory's on dying light ones that i will probably never forget. playing with my friends exploring the beautiful open world and the parkor you can't forget about the parkor some of the best I've ever seen. now i have over 1000 Hours on dying light. this game will always hold a vary special place in my hart thank you dying light thank you for all of the memory's and thank you tecland for creating a beautiful game this will always be one of my favorite games

I was hoping for a "Joker and the Thief" by Wolfmother style trailer for DL2... Oh well maybe for a major DLC, one can hope

It's sad that proper communication between devs and players seems so rare, like if you want your game to be good you need to know what the community wants, not what you think they want

I'm not sure if everyone is aware of this but Techland added a little mural to a youtuber, Badwolf Gaming, when he passed away. He was super hyped about the game, and played a little bit but was diagnosed with cancer and pass afterward. Rest in Peace

the first time I've grab Dying Light on Steam and then started to jump in with my friend I didn't know that the game was still getting update and content from the dev, when I go into the game I was surprise by how many content it got (it was around the Rust event) me and my friend were absolutely have a bloody great time with this game!

The blueprints , Easter eggs and sense of discovery made it amazing to me .

Me and my best friend met on dying light a little after it came out, still friends to this day

I got into parkour because of dying light, lots of scratches and bruises but dying light's parkour just kept me wanting to learn more, thanks to techland

Dying light was one of my first games on the ps4 and i remember i could not stop playing it

I remember when I use to play this game 24/7 it was so fun still is, I would play it by myself and with friends to the point my friends got annoyed of me playing the game to much 😅 but most importantly it helped me take my mind off the real world just getting on and doing parkour and finding funny glitches was just felt so good

Just starting my 10th playthrough of 'Dying Light'. My favorite game, and I started with 'Pong' from Sears. Would love to see some 'Dying Light 2' running on a PS5...........maybe before release??

I like the part where you mentioned that for different people this game holds different special place. Like for me it's memories with my friends, warm summer 2015 and having fun on our city outskirts pretending to be kyle crane and fighting each other with pipes, climbing the trees. It's right now also a way to have mindless fun with your friends, take a break from exams and papers, your notebooks. Just turn it on, run around, look at that beautiful sunset and dive deep in nostalgia. Then turn it off and go to sleep joyful and smiling. (Also having endless nightmares of being chased by volatiles)

I have to be honest..I dont know you but i liked that video. Really well made, my friend. But you are right.. Dying Light is its own masterpiece.. and thats why I am scared for Dying Light 2. I am scared because all those big games, that came out this year, floped..and don't get me started with Cyberpunks launch.. . I really hope that Techland is taking this srsly.. but I am scared. :(

This one flew under the radar for me until my bruv got me hooked June 2020. I have clocked up almost 700 hrs now,...it is so addictive. And I haven't even completed The Following yet! ❤️ It! It's great that Techland keep supporting DL with special community events,...at least, until the sequel arrives later this yr (which I pre-ordered months ago, of course!) December is gonna be a great month -DL 2, Spiderman No Way Home & Matrix Resurrection 👍

They've already improved a majority of my gripes w/ the first game, but I do hope to see an improvement w/ the minimap system too. Just so it's a bit easier to navigate through confusing underground sections or large building interiors. I honestly can't wait to take out my pent up frustration against the human bandits out on the DL2 ones lol.

I beat this on PS4 with a good friend now I’m replaying it by myself on my switch oled I’m hyped for dying light 2

I guess after years of life being life, I started to look at things blandly. But I always had a fondness towards games especially zombie games ever since I was a kid. Things like dead space, dead island, or dying light of course just sounded so awesome and amazing to me. Of course along with some bo2 or bo1 but honestly I never had nearly as much fun with black ops as I did the others. It mixes horror, humor, and just plain fun so well that I end up falling in love with it each time I play it. While that’s a tough thing to replicate, after seeing how much techlands done for the users and itself in the world of huge corporations is big for me when it comes to trust. After all that I think that I can truly say, is that techland has my trust and heart and that no matter what happens I hope they can stay as helpful, kind, and just plain awesome as they are now.

Dying Light: The Following was an excellent DLC. (More like a huge expansion) Being able to drive around the new map killing zombies.. Awesome. At first it took multiple plays to finally get into the game. I'm glad I kept at it.. Probably the best zombie game I've played. -- Dying Light 2 is a day one purchase.

I think Techland should add more customizable features when you finish the game

@@quartermaster2809 They're usually apart of random encounters where you kill one or two infected grabbing at the bars trying to get to a survivor inside, there are marketplaces on the southern part of the Slums that serve as the same purpose. There's even a rare variation of that same encounter where a guy is standing on a narrow ledge above a few infected.

@@skyfox5480 oh yeah ive come across those ones, the ledge ones were new to me, been playing for 3 years and discovered that one this year a few months ago. That aside I'm aware of some of them being reserved for random encounters, but the ones I was talking about never had any. Both throughout the story and at the end of it i was going past those houses but they are just locked :/ maybe techland did it for more details to the environment but damn techland atleast let the door accessible for interiors that are complete

Sadly my memory isn't too good so I don't remember what my first experience was really like, but I always come back to this game and just have so much fun. Games like CoD Zombies, Left for dead, and other games got boring after a while but never dying light. I'm so excited for DL2 from what I've heard so far.

I was 10-11 years old when I first saw a review for dying light on adult swim. I was very interested and wanted to play it so bad. "during the day it's a zombie war and during the knight it's zombie hell", that was my first impression of dying light. but I didn't have a console for it so I stayed with the urge to play it for a really long time. Earlier this year I got dying light from a friend (God bless him) and instantly loved the game. I liked the story, the gameplay, and the combat. I play on laptop so it gets really laggy but the fact that I'm still willing to play and enjoy it shows that this game did everything right. I beat every quest and currently unlocked %60 of the achievements. I love be this game to no end. I'm addicted and in love.

the fact Techland listens to us and keeps us up to date unlike so many other gaming companies is what i like about techland

Just bought Dying Light 2 on steam. I hope this game slices up to the hype. I been following this game since I bought Dying light part 1. I really love Dying Light part 1. I hope I can invest many hours into this new game.

DL won the market of zombie games due to the very simple solution based on real logic - climbing movement. This was a brilliant idea. If a street is full of zombies then the only reasonable solution is climbing and avoid the zombies or fight them. Other games offered fighting zombies only at that time.

Speaking of their community outreach, I actually messaged their Twitter about Dying Light 2 and how they were handling virals, voicing my frustrations with them in the current game. They responded, despite my criticisms, and I seriously appreciated that!

Broo I remember when that trailer came out man I was in my Elementary school in the cafeteria I remember clearly being so hyped about the game I had a ps3 so I couldnt really play it when it came out and the only reason at that time I got a ps4 was for this game tho I still remember when the trailer said it would come out in the old gen consoles but they changed that in the end damn
