    yes. a modifier can pop up saying enemies are immortal, immune to UV, and will down you with one hit so players are forced to run away

    For a beta I feel it's good, but I hope to see stuff shown in the trailer, real proper boss fights, chases on some floors like in DL1 final mission and more difficult floors etc. The foundation is good, hope Techland uses all the feedback to make this the proper endgame we've all been waiting for!

    Every time I try to get into this game, I just.. can’t. The maps just don’t feel fun to explore because they aren’t designed for slower focused exploration. There’s no density, everything is super wide open and I feel like the game wants me to be constantly sprinting or trying to parkour. The raid is fine and all but the core open world maps just don’t feel real. If you slow down and try to play the game a bit more like Dying Light 1 then there’s just nothing there. Dying Light 1 was fun because the city was a jungle gym built out of a real city… this game just has jungle gyms with no real attempt to give the illusion of it being a city You’d essentially need to “remake the game” to fix these core problems

    I love the locked loadouts idea. Maybe make it more like cod zombies where you actually have to explore the floors to get loot, and at the end of each floor your stash comes down, but you can only pick 1 item/weapon out of the stash.

    @@attakerz871 most of their mistakes are with monetization (which techland had also done), and even with "generic" games like ubisoft's, they had far more consistent quality than the dissapointment that is DL2, which is why you can see people saying they wont buy DL3

    I gave techland one idea in the feedback survey they had on the page. We need a negative modifier where infected are not affected by UV bars at all. That should be a random modifier for all floors but also be a set modifier for the last floor. Only thing that would work with that modifier set is the uv flashlight. I think that would already make the tower raid a lot harder.

    I would love to see a room where you have to do stealth. Like you have to sneak your way around a Volatile for it not to alert a massive horde of zombies. Even a puzzle where you need to activate the power with power cables (like in the base game) while there are hags trying to kill you and are immune to UV, because the UV flare spam is kinda making this insanely easy. Maybe make a modifier where UV lasts 3 seconds less or something. Even a floor with a timer to defeat the boss to get the keycard, otherwise the floor will be filled with poisonous gas etc.

    Honestly I’m down for this. I’m kinda suprised a lot of the game puzzles and stealth activities weren’t included in this. They’re a really important element of this activity and I’d appreciate these to spice up these levels

    an awesome feature for them to add is, each week on the normal difficulty you can get a "customizable weapon" and on Elite you can get a customizable "armor" piece plus customizable weapon, this means you either do normal mode to get 1 thing, or do elite to get both things. these weapon and armor pieces, you actually get to pick and chose what stats you want on the weapon/armor. these weapon/armor stats can be changed by visiting a craft master anytime for maybe a lot of old world money or mutation samples. another incentive to do them each week, as it would then allow you to literally get the perfect builds, you would just need to do these each week :D

    Great video Oni! One of the ideas I had would be that instead of a single crate on the top. There is like randomly 5-10 instead. The same timer but one of them opens at a fixed time interval. Only one has the exotic weapon and resource pack. The rest are like regular military crates that have a weapon/armor piece and other misc items. As time progresses enemies get harder and more plentiful. You can choose to fight back as crates open and hope you get the exotic crate or you can grab what you can and leave before you die and lose everything!

    Two things I really loved about Tower. First was music. The second was the infinite resources glitch, which finally allowed me to play the game how I wanted, finally. No more grinding for the resources to craft for me, I am full of +2k greens +2k blues and 9999 scrap. I like your honest opinion Oni. You got a sub.

    Would love to see a floor that forces players to play stealthy, no lights other than your flashlight - volatiles sleeping everywhere - the entire floor absolutely consumed by the infection, having to traverse carefully otherwise you could trigger something that wakes them all up, the kinda floor that you dread and hope you don't get (out of fear rather than annoyance)

    I’ve watched your streams these days and must say you got a lot of good ideas. Also I wanted to add that those floors are nothing you can just jump easily to the top and w8 5min and bam.. I had a dream about a dying light tower thing but was mixed with GTA V heist where you could do some side shit on each floor and make the top floor much much easier (adding like crates that you need to extract to the elevator with you and they contain mby uv lights,ammo, secret weapons.. mby even add that peacekeeper saw things that can be mounted on the top floor) so you “prepare” to make the top floor much easier but for the cost of time.. or you could just skip to the top and have it much harder or easier for those low lvl players (Love your vids and your work! Much love!)

    I didn’t really have a good experience with the couple raids I did. I was on normal and I kept getting the worst modifiers and as soon as I got to the top, grabbed the loot and tried leaving, I died because of the stupid 25% health modifier. They gotta make it more common for positive modifiers for maybe less rewards as an option. I haven’t got a single positive modifier and it’s becoming a chore to do the raids. Maybe a solo only thing because I only ever play solo.

    So one thing I would add in the next update is a modifier that removes the ability to use your utility items AKA your grappling hooks your grenades your c4 your kadoom shotgun if you have one basically all your utility so you have to use your melee or your guns. I know a lot of people are running around with that glitched kadoom shotgun that allows you to one shot every enemy you come across and then the final area where you were defending the box people will just spam UV lights to make sure the infected can't come anywhere near you imagine you get into the raid and you can't pop your UV lights that would make it so much harder and you'd actually have to focus up instead of just spamming stuff

    Agreed. I like the new missions with Jai, and I like that they let us do a little more exploring but... They also need to keep certain areas open for us to explore or conquer, like the mall at the ending, X13, etc. There are places they could make interesting like VNC tower, St Joseph's Hospital could be a terrifying run by itself, and they could wrap some basic story around that and add some bad a$$ monsters in there. All areas need to open up and be explorable and playable after we beat the main story. Give us a reason to use the Tower Raid as a way to resupply, to prepare for these other dark zones. I like that they gave us more craft item drops, but should've been that way all along. Tower Raid has potential, but there is still a lot of room to make the base game even more interesting.

    Techland, please consider EVERY idea he has for your game! It will be better! It’s already the greatest zombie game I’ve ever played, imo. But, not only is Oni right, he is also clearly a dedicated player who has love for Dying Light 2, and love for gaming in general. Listen to him! And take his word as the word of your player base! Because I myself, who has played since the release of the game, and also consider myself a veteran 😎, completely 100% agree with EVERYTHING said in this video! So make the changes happen!!     I dont know you yet, but I went ahead and subbed to help u out bro. Thanks for the info on the new update. Bought this game about six months ago when they did the free demo, thought it still needed a bit of polishing before being able to really really dive in. Considering giving it another try here. Is it doing any better graphic optimizationwise? I got a very decent pc and the ray tracing on the game kills it. Ray tracing is something i have no problems with on other titles. I am just wondering if they fixed these major issues before moving on to other content. Hmmm...

    Optimization has gotten a lot better over the few months. But it does take a beast of a PC to run it on ray tracing for this game.

    They need to have rooms that really feel like an infected or volatile hive. The story hyped the VNC tower as being swarmed with infected and I always envisioned it as being as scary as the volatile caves in DL1.

    What if the tower raid was kind of like the bosak horde challenge in Dying Light 1, each floor is more of an obstacle course or type of challenge similar to the bozak horde. Keep the randomized floors, having to get through each floor, kill or run past the zombies, hell each the keycards, but throw some unique whacky bozak like challenges and trials in there for us to complete in order for the elevator doors to open maybe? Or throughout the entire floor we have to complete a random bozak like trial for the elevator to be opened? Feel like crossing bozak and the tower raid is a big miss, same as not having Bloody Ties Arena being GRE test subjects like Aiden. Giving him an actual reason to be there and talk to everyone in the middle of the story.

    I just played this today cause I redownloaded DL2, the music was my favorite part, it hyped me up so well I got to the top of the tower by myself, but I died to a bomber. I haven’t played in ages, and I enjoyed this new tower raid stuff, I hope they don’t mess it up

    they need to put a stopwatch on so you can beat your own highscore and that the modifiers need to stack up (keep all your modifiers you get the hole run) so every time you start a new one you can get easy or a harder run for a more fun and random playthrough and the modifiers need to turn up somewhere in your screen cant see what you have only at the start

    I am very hopeful for the future of this mode. Hellraid on DL1 was so much fun, and I think they should take notes from that on to what to change here. As a proof of concept, it really gets me excited for the future. Also, if you make a co-op mode ADD CROSSPLAY. It's such a sure fire way to grow the player base.

    To add to the challenge is make a stealth floor with a volatile hive and you gotta sneak and the music turns all scary and creepy. If you alert the volatile hive than tyrants will start swarming the players. This will encourage more coordination and cooperation and a challenge.

    Going through all of Tower Raid myself my two issues were: -Not enough Parkour use. Plenty of combat, and if you're just going for a slaughter-fest, it's fine. But my left mouse button started to hurt after a while. -Lack of rewards. Filling out the survey that they offered, this was definitely something I mentioned but I wasn't really sure how to fix it. I knew what I didn't want: another random Artifact/Exotic weapon with "+Damage while Low Stamina/Health" on it, and the crafting items were honestly the only thing that made the runs worth it to me. But one weapon...? Relic or not, it felt so lacking. As much as it is probably going to get dismissed, your idea of adding a bundle item Once Per Week is really cool and I could see myself wanting to play it just for that chance. I don't find myself playing any of the Agent missions unless there's just something I slightly need (Crystal outpost bounty from Old Villador, for example), so it is almost forgotten content at this point. Bundle items? Sign me up.

    i think the mode would be perfect if there were new exclusive armour sets you can unlock from the chest at the end. make them be pretty powerful and have one piece drop per run. implement a system were every drop will be new for the player until they collect every item, of course, random stats, and then make them purchasable from jai after you collect the gear piece for targeted farming in order to optimise builds

    I would love instead of fighting zombies on every floor, we get "the floor is lava" where you need to navigate the floor with parkour. One hit and you die. Or, puzzle floor, like a maze or something.

    The store idea sounds pretty good when it comes to unlocking bundle items. We seen a system like that used in so many different titles. The first one that I thought of was the system from rainbow six siege. Now that does have duplicates (it is a much older game so bundle system is a little outdated) They gotta ramp up the difficulty for these raids if that seems like it’s worth it. Having it too easy will just make players never go to the store.

    The difficulty is fine to me. I low key wouldn't want the devs to make it harder. In your previous videos i remembered you mentioned about adding volatiles to the tower raid mode. That i feel it's fine, but also need to reduce the virals to make it balance. Just 2 volatiles in a tight corridor might be super annoying let alone 3 or 4. Now imagine a demolisher along the way 😂

    I'll say the things I said on the survey Techland put out to get feedback from the players. I think the tower raid mode is fine and fun to play but it gets repetitive quite fast. I think it mainly comes down to lack of variety in the maps and that there's not much incentive to go out of the beaten path and really explore. There are no treasure rooms that really reward your exploration. No shortcuts or any interesting locations. There aren't any trap rooms which may punish being greedy and also reward you for surviving. There is no risk-reward system. I kinda expected this to be like a dungeon in an RPG tbh. They should have traps that players can activate by pressing a button like the traps you unlock in the open world by siding with the PKs. And like you said, there should be verticality in the map. As is, tower raid doesn't do a good job of making players utilize the parkour moves other than simply running away from virals. There should be some stealth sections like in the VNC tower mission and some rooms where you need to do puzzles with parkour and also floors where you need to be fast and run away quickly or you'll die, etc. Most of the modifiers are pretty basic and don't change up the gameplay too much. There should be some challenging modifiers where you need to keep moving or you will die or a modifier where you need to keep killing zombies instead of avoiding them. At least I didn't encounter anything like this. The enemy variety is also a bit lackluster as most of the time you just get swarmed by virals. There aren't any interesting bosses or human enemies unfortunately. There should also be a mode where you can't use the weapons you have and must rely on scavenging weapons on-site or start off with set amount of weapons like in Elite Huntress mission. And most importantly, we need worthwhile loots IN the tower itself. I don't want shitty tokens to use to redeem OP weapons from a game menu that take me out of the immersion. This is less of a Tower Raid issue and more of a Dying Light 2 issue. I liked that in Dying Light 1 you could lockpick chests and get rewarded with cool and powerful weapons. That doesn't happen in Dying Light 2 as all the chests only give you shitty weapons that are barely worth grabbing to discard them for scraps. The only way to get decent weapons is to do shitty challenges and open lootboxes or simply crafting them from the Craftmaster. You can't organically acquire weapons from the game world anymore. At least not in the main story before ending it. Techland fixed the loot issue of resources by giving you more scraps and uncommon infected trophies (after 2 years) which reduced a lot of grinding. They should fix this too. I think Tower Raid has good potential and I'm glad they released this as Beta first. I hope Techland will implement at least some of these features if not all of them.

    I would honestly hate if they made the tower raid more like a Destiny 2 Raid. As the raid is right now, I can happily have a great fun time going through it solo. There's no awkward mechanics like immunity unless I do this specific, arbitrary action to make a boss vulnerable for a very limited window. I prefer that it's more of just an assault. As for the lack of Volatiles, You go into the place at night. All the Volatiles are out on the streets hunting. Adding Volatiles to the tower can certainly be done well, but they have to have a limited number of spawns in my opinion, otherwise it makes it very easy to get overwhelmed by a swarm since Volatiles are tanky enough to really slow down your ability to cut down infected. Especially for players that solo the tower.

    They should have some floors that have a immortal volatile horde chasing you, a super big charger in a big room, a labyrinth with explosive zombies, parkour sections over broken floors with banshees and spitters trying to shot you down. Just more unique rooms and maybe some puzzles, possibly a room with humans with guns who are doing the same thing as you. And as you said, bosses.

    This is a small thing but I think they should have simple satisfying animations for rewards at the end of the raids and loot boxes. Example: Purple tier reward (purple glow with some flairs) Legendary (A charge up with flairs and some color effects) to help really sell the fact you're getting a reward. Its just an example, but having some sounds and visual queues for rewards would add a feeling of "Im about to get something rare and exciting" sort of like card game packs.

    they could make the bundles repeatable so if u get a duplicate bundle you instead get a small amount of DL points instead which would make it more fair and make it take longer to get all of the bundles making them lose more money and make ppl play longer, and only gained if played on nightmare difficulty with a set loadout and 1 life which means instant fail at a single mistake which would make it a good challenge with good rewards while also not giving too much or too little

    I don't have any idea if they are planning to make this into a rogue-like mode. But if they are: 1. Give zero weapons and utilities from the beginning. The player has to scavenge for them by killing zombies and looting them or explore the environment. 2. DL is a zombie parkour game. They added the zombie but forgot the parkour. 3. Ammo is fine, but better weapons should be given not just a higher rarity. 4. I don't know how many times you played the mode but I believe they should add more types of final rooms as well. 5. They need to add an objective as to WHY the player is in the tower in the first place. Like, looking for certain kind of loot that can only be found in the tower and no where else, which is why the player will have to look around for the item in question and that's what will be delivered in the final box on the roof that will be extracted out of there. 6. This was absolutely stupid. Where are the volatiles in a VOLATILE Hive? 7. After watching the gameplay in a different video I have come to this conclusion: They are trying to replicate Left4Dead and trying to add some spice by using modifiers. But they have definitely failed. Cooperation is not required on this mission. You can even do it solo ( which is not a bad thing, but they need to do something about the biter grabs and the spitters vomiting around them preventing the player from getting closer.) 8. The floors need to get noticeably harder as you progress through the them. Starting with only biters and sparse in number, you manually climb up for a few floors so that you can get your bearings (refer to point 1). Then you use the elevators. As you proceed using the elevators the floors will have virals, then add in the banshees and goons, phase out the biters and keep doing this process so that each floor feels harder than the previous. 9. They need to take into account the number players in the tower. The more players that join through the coop the more zombies. 10. They need to add some zombies or tweak the existing ones so that actually they promote working together (refer to point 7). As you showed in the video, you were easily able to run far ahead of your co-op partner without any repercussions. That needs to change. GENERAL CRITICISM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Why does Aiden start bouncing when I run into a zombie and try to attack it? Because of this my attacks don't connect and it's so fucking infuriating. 2. When a molotov is thrown or a fire is lit why doesn't it cast proper light around it, instead of just glowing on my screen while it's surroundings are still pitch black?

    I was hoping for similar things like raid like mechanics or having parkour friendly floors and maybe instead of the elevator being the exit we had to do a random parkour gauntlet to escape the tower. Or even use the parkour to its advantage and make mechanics around that to make it unqiue

    To be fair if this is the VNC tower most of the floors will indeed be office spaces with the normal furniture. Now if you want variety well the devs need to be creative.

    There should be a floor that is a volitile nest and everything inside is destroyed and covered in the goo that volitile hives are attached to. And it should have a horror aspect to it like the first game with creepy music and dimmed lights. And there should be so many volitiles that the only option would be to run to the objective.

    They should make it a teams where you go against others like a 4v4v4v4 (can be 3v3 and etc aswell) and the first team to get the key card can use it and try to defend or they drop the key and first to open goes up more than 1 floor and the others have to go threw a stair case by only one floor at a time and first to the top wins

    Honestly, id love to see "difficulty modifiers".Basicly before you start the tower raid, you have a couple modifiers that you can select that will make ur game harder for example: "only 1 live", "more floors", "random weapons" etc. That for me would be very nice to have.

    They should hide like 10 unique weapons on the floors. weapons you can only get through finding them in a specific locations either locked behind a boss or puzzle on a specific floor so there is a reason to keep replaying it so you can get all the weapons unique to it (not thru jai please enough vendors)

    They should add a mechanic where every week or so there are parts for a secret weapon you can craft, but it also depends on what floor your on, this would add a level of needing to explore and maybe adding a puzzle mechanic to the Tower Raid

    I agree with everything you said in this video except for one and that is I HATE the idea of preset loadouts. I don’t do bounties for weeks and do all this content to get these fantastic weapons that were just what I wanted only to not be able to use them. I have all these amazing tools, and I want the game to throw enough stuff at me that I feel like I need to use these tools. Do NOT make the tower raid harder by just taking my exotic sword away and giving me a green wood plank.
