Why Wahlberg 'Lost His Cool' on 'Survivor' Set

Mark Wahlberg plays a Navy SEAL on a covert mission to neutralize a high-level al-Qaeda operative in the true tale Lone Survivor, and the star reveals details on the on-set mishap in which a mortar blew up right by his face, saying, "It was the first time I've lost my cool on a movie set." When the director was talking about the misfire in Wahlberg's face I can almost hear Luttrell thinking "Oh you had an explosion too close to your face? That must have been rough."

Just the cold stare of Marcus's eyes tells me he saw some shit.

Don't let this video distract you from the fact that Tom Hanks served in WW2 and gave his life on that bridge to save Matt Damon.

Uhm, I don't think M.Luttrell would advocate for any actor getting

I thought he was a bad choice because Marcus Lutrell is like 6'5" and Wahlberg is like 5'7"

You know I love Mark. His support of the troops and making movies like this is great. That explosion is what we went through on every mission so now you truly understand what you are supporting and what we go through.

“We were out there in the mountains for the whole day.” You also had catering and your nice air conditioned trailer to go back to when you were done. 😂

You guys act like you would've handled the situation any different than Wahlberg. Of course having a mortar go off in your face is a different experience for Luttrell. That's his fucking profession. He's trained to handle explosions and gunfire. Go shoot someone with a mortar that isn't a Navy SEAL. I'm sure they'll be very grateful for the experience.

Marcus, As a 38 year Army Veteran with only two Combat tours, I am torn between the best parts of your actions. Your will to survive or setting through the Hollywood interviews and not ripping some of the reporters heads off. I felt your anexity during the interviews. You are "A True American Hero" for surviving both role and telling the story straight so others can experience the insight of what our military has to go through for those ungrateful Bastards we give up our lives for! Thank you, to you, your team and your family. On behave of a greatful Nation, under God!

After just seeing clips from the movie, and watching a Marcus Luttrell interview, I'm glad that this was difficult and hard to handle. The man literally survived an end of life scenario, most of his bones were broken and all of his friends died.

One of the best movies of all time. Mark and the cast were awesome. Very emotional for a prior service member. Although, I was in a medical unit I did serve during the war and it just brings back a lot of memories.
