I think the difference between the American way of following sport and the European and South American way is that in US its all about the show, in Europe and South America its all about the passion. Just watch let's say a basketball game in US and compare that to a basketball game in Greece or Serbia. You can even take other sports like cycling, when I watch Tour de Flanders I get goosebumps every year from the pure passion the houndred of thousands of flemish cykling fans.

She is right. It is a lifestyle and its amazing being part of a unity.

My first football (soccer) match was when I was 6. My fathers when he was 7. I took my son to that very same stadium when he was 4. It’s multi generational. Our clubs are everything. A huge part of our identity. And occasionally some violence is a ok.

In the crowds all people are respected and all feel included. Ethnicity and religion dosen’t matter for most ultras. They are there to support their team and they see their own performance in the crowds just as important as the team performance
