One day,when Turkey shoots down a Russian aircraft,god forbidding a passenger plane,not a military craft with their own technology they two(Russia)will regret selling the s400s to Turkey Thats why there's no regrets that Turkey dosen't have the f35...

    USA refuses to sell Turkey amphibians attack ships in the 1950-60s, refuses to help with Turkish airborne units equipping abd training, including supplying parachutes. -By 1970s Turkey produces is own amphibious attack craft, produces it's own fiber and parachutes The 90s USA refused to sell Predator drones to Turkey. -Turkey now produces it's own unmanned drones. 1990-2016 USA refuses to sell Patriot missile defense systems or sell and transfer technology -Turkey buys the Russian S400 with technology transfer included and has guarantees to be involved in the research, development and production of the S500s... See the progression? (Also the USA and Turkey's European allies like Germany have threatened Turkey about withholding weapons systems they have sold or limiting their use in certain theaters, and have blackmailed Turkey into political and diplomatic situations eg Cyprus and later the PKk issues. Look at the Johnson letters to Turkey in 1974, or the letter sent about the F35, and Turkey isn't moving away from the USA and NATO to the Russian side, it is more so being pushed by the fact that the USA doesn't want Turkey to be too strong in the region)

    Though, this is all because Turkey is feeling threatened even from their 'allies'. With the increasing issue of Mediterranean oil search of Turkey, the 10 years of Turkish army whittling (many of officers are either in custody or stripped off their ranks like Stalin's Purge), and the 'coup' being the last straw for them to become desperate to strong self sufficient army ideal, they attempted this ordeal. Not to mention, Syrian and Iraq borders are still under a heavy infighting that affects Turkey with the crisis of refugees. And Turkish economy suffers from it. Again UN "friends" weren't into laying a hand on the issue may also another reason to this.

    US rejected patriot requests for so many years. When they finally accepted to give them, S-400 deal was already done. Also they rejected UAV and attack helicopter requests which we were desperately needed while fighting against terrorist organization PKK. Now we have our national attack helicopters, short-mid range missiles and UAVs. Thanks for that US. And now we will have our national 5th gen fighter jet because of this F-35 kick. They will learn that Turkey is not a desperate country and will learn to respect us instead of treating. Strategic partners!!! Bullshit... They always stub us in the back.

    It has a lot to do with it. The coup was supported by US, Germany, Israel and UAE. That is why they felt insecure any more and decided to fix relationships with Russia and Iran then purchased the S400. Usually when intelligence agencies decide to bring down a government they first try to make coups, if they fail, they send their economic department which is specialized in trapping the targeted country in order to destory its economy which will drive people to protest and turn it into a revolution, but if this also fail, then they try to assassinate the leaders, if all these fail, they go to war with them. Watch Venezuela as an example. They tried all these methods except the war. In Iraq, they went to war. So I guess that is what made turkish government fear of any future wars and started to prepare its self for such day

You can hate Erdogan all you want but he was the choice of his people and EU should've express at least rhetorical support for legally and legitimately elected government. The facy they didn't shows their real intentions and how hypocritical their alleged stance on values of freedom is. Because, is there anything more barbaric than militant coup and government seizure by armed, non elected personas.

  • @iglutv7758
    @iglutv77584 жыл бұрын

    Worth to mention: -The US offered to sell the Patriots AFTER the deal with Russia was done. Obviously Turkey can´t just cancel it, when it wants to hold a shred of credibility. -The NATO chief already mentioned that the S400s are a national decition, with no connection to NATO. There might have been attempts to standardize the NATO, but NATO is far from having a standard. Different tank models, different fighters or simply different rifles. Speaking of a "NATO standard" in regards to military equipment is far fetched. Granted that this might change in the future, but 2 S400s are not gonna change anything. -It is quite funny, how the excuse of "Russia might gain informations" is always used, but never explained. Why would Turkey give valuable information of its air-fleet to Russia? As if Turkey wouldn´t make any checks or prevent such things in the first place. Not to mention that I can entirely turn this argument around: NATO gains valuable information about the S400s. Especially since afaik there will be a tech transfer. -Turkey is asking for such a system not just for a few years, but for decades. If this is so important for the US, why didn´t they just sell the Patriots cheaper, gave full control of them and possible tech transfer? Even selling it cheaper might have changed the opinion of Turkey. Yet Turkey is expected to suck up to the US, despite having little money and +4 million refugees in its country (whom Turkey provided billions of USD worth of food/shelter/medicine/[...]. Egypt even gets subsidized by the US and they aren´t even an ally. -Also one important thing is that the US is arming our enemies at our border. The YPG is basically the PKK and they not only conducted attacks under the name of the PKK, but also under the YPG. Since an attack on any NATO ally is considered an attack on the entity of the NATO, why isn´t the US supporting Turkey in this regards, but does the entire opposite? They are even shielding and protecting them for our military. This is an open betrayal, which surely played a huge role in the decition of buying the S400s. These things are crucial information, which is why I feel like the video is a nice attempt to be objective, but fails to see the turkish perspective and issue.

    I dont think that the problem with integrating the S-400 into Nato has anything to do with the current crysis. Greece for example has bought and used S-300 Systems before and nobody talked about it. I think the big problem is that the US and the manufacturer thinks that the F-35 might not be as stealthy as they advertised and with the S-400 being the best SAM system you can get at the moment, they probably can not hide that anymore. Technically the US could turn this thing around. If they were sure about the capabilities of the F-35, why not use Turkey to get every piece of Information about the S-400 then? Fly training missions against it etc.

    Oddly Turkey shall do what Israel does... They cannot coproduce the Patriot, so they create AESA radars, control centers and Stunner missiles who are designed to work with the Patriot as "upgrades" or as a propietary missile system. So they end with David's Sling, and can sell parts of it to Patriot users as upgrades. As the Polish Patriots will do. The Poles cannot produce missiles for the Patriot, but they can produce israeli missiles and othe components compatible with the Patriot.

    bro you really need to start doing videos on Turkish Drones, especially the Bayraktar TB2 which is now world famous for turning the tide of 3 wars & have defeated Russian Air Defense systems S300s/Pantsirs etc) at every turn. In fact, they gave Russian Air Defense systems a new nickname "Target Practice for Bayraktar Drones" :). Also cover the upcoming Akinci drone when it is released & has some battle experience :)

    @@heyhoe168 hehehe hello there Ruskie :)... i know i know we beat your air defense systems & you are a little upset but it's not propaganda, literally all media around the world said the same things. even Russian media said some of it. Here, let me tell you a few other things Turks are good at... Turkey is a drone superpower right now. Although the USA is ahead of Turkey in overall drone technology, on a class by class basis, some of Turkey's drones outperform every other drone in the world (ie: Bayraktar TB2). These drones escape radar, not even the best air defense systems in the world (Russian systems) can detect them or shoot them down. This was proven when these drones massacred such Russian air defense systems of various types all across Syria, Libya & Armenia (including the S300s).These drones are credited with allowing Turkey impressive advances in these countries. Also, the very AI centric use of drones in a swarm was something that was seen as a future technology. However, Turkey was the first to use AI swarming drones on the battle field & the first to overtake an airbase (Al-Wattiya airbase) with drones & therefore re-wrote military history. On electronic interference, Turkey is number 1 in the world - Turkey has systems that no other country has been able to create yet, not even the USA. The latest electronic interference system were the AWACS (US systems). US still uses AWACS but Turkey developed the Koral & HAVA-SOJ which are technologies one generation ahead of the AWACS & are the first country to develop these next gen electronic interference technologies, absolutely no other country has them. The land version is the Koral & the flying version is the HAVA-SOJ. These systems have again rewritten military history. This is how Turkey keeps making French ships retreat back to Europe, hitting them with electronic interference. Turkey can even intercept their missiles electronically & send them back to their ship. No one else can do this either. Turkey can send fake commands to other fighter jets telling them to bomb their own targets. This was used in Syria, where US F16's ended up bombing a large PKK/YPG base consisting of 73 terrorists. Again, no one else can do this. With laser weapons, Turkey is the only country that has been able to make them practical for use on the battlefield. Normally, you'd need a small power station & a collection or enormous generators to power it so the position would always be fixed & not mobile. Even nuclear powered ships can't power the lasers at the moment. Turkey made laser weapons that work from the back of a van/pickup truck :). Turkey shot down a Chinese drone using this laser & therefore (yet again) rewrote military history. Chinese engineers were perplexed because they expected the drone to have been shot down by an anti-air missile & therefore to be in pieces scattered all over the place, but it wasn't. When they tried to figure out how it can be in one piece, they realized there was a very precise hole in the drone. The hole was right under where the computer systems & electronics where. In other words this laser weapon has burned & melted the mission critical computers. It was a world first, a laser weapon taking down a flying object or any object on the battlefield whatsoever. It was also the first time a laser weapon was used in combat & in the field. Nobody else has this next gen laser technology. Scientists are still perplexed as to how the weapon can be created with such little energy use.
