I just want to add that the way he talks clearly shows that the was a 4 year college player. In modern basketball IQ is one of the most important traits. He's clearly an articulate guy, so I'm hoping he's smart on the court as well.

the problem is that he never goes out and plays. its all just fluff. Im afraid the entire summer league is gonna be over and he wont ever get on the floor. Then he will have a different excuse in pre season. And before you know it- he will be on the trade block and people will be saying it was tough cuz he didnt have a summer league or pre season (just like people said with wiseman)

jackson-davis i wouldn't have been shocked if the warriors drafted him at #19 ... many within warriors fandom also wouldn't have been shocked nor either angry if that happened with the most linked names before the draft being jackson-davis and murray i don't know why jackson-davis who most projected at the very least to go mid/late 1st or pretty early in the 2nd round dropped all the way to the second to last pick of the draft ... i did read that teams picking in the 2nd round did call jackson-davis and asked him if he'd accept a 2 way contract if they picked him but his agent declined such offers which i guess made many teams pass on him to the point where he fell all the way to #57 even with that i'm not sure how much playing time jackson davis will get especially early in the season curry thompson wiggins green looney paul payton saric kuminga moody joseph podziemski jackson-davis that's the 13 man roster right now and the report is the warriors won't fill that final 15 man spot on the roster to begin the season so they'll sign at least one more player even if they don't sign a big which quite a few warriors fans want at this time jackson-davis is clearly behind green, looney, saric in terms of a "big" on the warriors roster right now ... and that doesn't include kuminga who i could see playing a lot of the 4 or 5 positions in small ball lineups this upcoming season too i do think jackson-davis has the game to play and having played all 4 years in college will definitely help his cause with kerr who doesn't trust many young players to play meaningful minutes and when they do he has a pretty short leash on them when they make mistakes on the court ... just look at kuminga during the playoffs who struggled his first few times on the floor and was pretty much bench for a good chunk of the postseason this past spring also helps jackson-davis is a pretty good passer for a big man which is huge in their warriors offense ever since kerr became the head coach but with that i do expect jackson-davis specifically early in the 2023/24 NBA season to get a lot of playing time in the gleague though with an older roster especially at the PF and C positions i'm still thinking jackson-davis will get plenty of playing time during his rookie season as there is no way i see the likes of green and looney specifically to play anywhere near the amount of regular season games in 2023/24 as they did in 2022/23 with green playing in 74 games and looney playing in all 82 games ... i'd imagine the coaching staff wanting to play them anywhere from 60-65 games at the very most this upcoming season

He's young but his footwork is pretty good. His moves reminds me of the Dream. No, I am not saying he will be another Hakeem, but he's pretty smooth with great footwork. Nice outside touch thought he didn't showcase it enough. We can assume that he will get chiseled once he hits the weight room regularly, and that will make him stronger and quicker. Now if he grows another inch...then watch out NBA.

I'm not sure his shot blocking is going to translate to the league easily if possibly at all. He'll be playing against bigger, stronger more athletic and experienced players. He is going to need to learn to contest with discipline which was something Wiseman never managed. Not having an effective midrange let alone 3pt shot is going to hurt his chances of seeing significant minutes early on unless Saric, Dray and Loon suffer injuries.

Why would he need to be able to shoot in the warriors system when dray and looney both cannot shoot and tjd is the superior athlete, shot blocking wise I will agree however it’s easily translatable, athleticism wise. Look at all the undersized shot blockers the only thing he’s off by is 2” In wingspan but he has massive hands, so yeah maybe a season or 2 with getting the timing down of the nba then he’s a shot blocker again.

Thanks, didn’t know he is the son of a longtime NBA vet, did not see that mentioned anywhere else. Gives me more hope about him! He must have played against and practiced against his Dad many times, and Dad should have taught him all the moves he used in the NBA. They probably have advisors and friends who know NBA play, and could help him build his strengths and work on his weaknesses. Plus, it takes will to develop, an innate belief, so his tweet reminds me of Draymond’s anger at being drafted in the second round. Also reminds me of Curry, when he was interviewed after losing in the playins, when he warned people about the next season. I don’t know how his athleticism compares with regular NBA players, but the moves he made in the clips reminded me of Kuminga when he slams it in, that funny defiant almost, shove of the ball into the bucket. And he had nice moves to get around defenders, easily, at least in college. I expect him to mostly G League first, like Kuminga/Moody, but once the team has made their assessment, start giving him minutes, here and there, as he earns more playing time. He already seems to have the Javale Magee role type of skills, and because Draymond and Looney played so many minutes last season, I think they would push to use him faster if he simply learns how to play in their system, and learn to get in position for lobs, plus defense and rebounding, he’ll be used as soon as possible so that Dray and Loon aren’t worn down as much.

These drafts, for all teams, remains to be seen come nba time. For GSW, it also depends on Kerr's system. If the coach doesn't like you, you can bet your ass you will get traded soon no matter what they say to the media. Nature of the business. They say, you will be the future of the team then the next day you are traded.

What?!! - Patrick Baldwin Jr. , Ryan Rollins, James Wiseman, Nico Mannion, Justinian Jessup, Jordan Poole, Alen Smailagić, Eric Paschall , Jacob Evans, Jordan Bell, Damian Jones, Patrick McCaw... are these good picks, are you blind? Please give me Sam Presti. Can we trade Klay for Sam? Podz is just Nico 2.0. He's to slow, never will be good on defense. In theory, I like Trayce JD. We will see. Too bad he couldn't play in the summer league. But no, the steal in the draft was Emoni Bates.

Are you on the Warriors payroll or something. This guy has a lot of holes in his game which is why he fell so far down. You should keep in mind that college basketball isn't what it used to be as top talent goes pro after high school, so Jackson is going up against what once would've been 3rd string talent. Throw in the fact that Steve Kerr isn't patient with young players this young man is going to have to work hard to get out of the G-League.
