Kai biggest issue is he has no foundation. In the NBL he didnt know the plays or simple plays any professional team would run. He made the mistake of trying to make the NBA too early. No minutes means no idea. Individual talents he has it, in a team environment he is not ready.

Had DRose remained healthy, there wouldn't ever be a debate about who was the best of all time. His time from a rookie to his ACL injury was so short, but yet so memorable. He knew no fear. He'd dunk on 7' players and think nothing of it. I'm 75 years old and he was the best I've ever seen.

too slow for nba sorry. 7 footers have to be quick enough to guard on the permeter. he would get murdered in pick and roll situations. guards are hitting threes from 30 feet or ten meters now. half the shots are taken from 3 point range. there is a reason why he is not getting minutes.

As a 18 yo 19 yo he was already a veteran player vs NBA and NBA he played good in spite of the limited minutes now just turned 22 he bulk up added extra weight 250 lbs at 7'3 the other he's dominated the Japan B League scoring double double .. The key to Kai effectiveness is the coach ..almost all the coach who handled him are blind or either paid by China to sabotage Kai chances at the NBA

When he was 19 yrs. old he went to the USA to train, he was 7'1" and 218 pounds. He joined the G league. The pandemic hit all nations and Sotto went back to the Philippines. After the pandemic, he joined Australia's NBL, was already 7'2" nearing 7'3", and was 225 pounds. After NBL, he played for Gilas Phil. team for the FIBA World Cup where they beat the giants of China. He later joined the Japan B League and he is now 7'3", and 235 pounds, he currently weighs 246.04 pounds thanks to his strength & conditioning coach Mel Lantin who is always with him..... So now, let us compare his statistics to NBA big guys. Antetokounmpu is 6'9" and 242 pounds, 29 yrs old. Victor Wembanyana is 7'4" , 209 pounds, 20 yrs. old. Chet Holmgren is 7'1" 207 pounds, 22 yrs old; Nicola Jokic is 6'9" or 6'10" and 283.8 pounds, 29 yrs. old. Therefore, as Kai grows older and meets his target weight of 270 pounds BMI of 22, and borderline weight before obesity, he will be a powerhouse. His father Irvin Sotto is a retired basketball player, 6'7", and weighs almost 300 pounds due to inactivity, there is no doubt Kai will be a powerhouse soon. The team that will draft Kai will be an advantage for them.

WHEN HE WAS WITH THE NBL HE WAS AT 19 GOING 20 YEARS OLD HE WAS 225 POUNDS. When he JOINED THE JAPAN B LEAGUE, KAI WAS ALREADY 7'3". Kai will be turning 22 yrs. old this May 11,2024. IN THE LAST REPORT OF NBA sports REPORTER HOMER SAYSON, KAI was already 112 KGS OR 246.4 POUNDS. THAT IS WHY HE CANNOT EASILY BE PUSHED AROUND ANYMORE. His FATHER Irvin, is a 6'7" retired basketball player and could easily be 300 pounds, being inactive. Kai can easily make 260 to 270 pounds, his target weight for now as he reaches the age of 25, and at a BMI Body mass Index of 22 which is normal for a 7'3". 270 pounds is borderline for normal & obesity for his height. He will be a powerhouse when he reaches this weight and with his current skills.
