Steph feels so much more free and happy when the second unit, lead by CP 3, not only manages to hold on to a lead or not lose ground, but even gain ground! Then he comes back, unbothered, and can feel free to shoot whatever shot he wants, because THERE ARE NO BAD SHOTS for this alien. ❤👏 Well done, Mr. Dunleavy!

Wiseman still beats TJD in sheer athletism and potential ceiling but TJD has the smarts and the composure in game that Wiseman lacked. Warriors are insanely deep, with an 10-12 man rotation. With Steph, Klay, Wigs, Dray, Loon as the stsrting 5, and with CP3, GP2, Moody, JK, Saric, and TJD and Brandin as Reserves. RESERVES for goodness sake... I really hope TJD should be the Backup center since he lives for the boards... 10 rebounds in 20ish mins is nuts, and what's more insane is that 8 of those came from offensive boards. Strength in numbers is really back

How do people think he's overrated? Casual takes. His scoring abilities isn't what makes him valuable. His ability to lead and rally a team, make plays, and mentor other players. Him coming off the bench is the perfect role for him. As for his coming up short constantly in the playoffs - he has not missed the playoffs in over a decade and he's been on some mediocre squads throughout. The Suns were a 19 win team prior to Chris Paul arriving. 2 years later, they were in the Finals. This is the effect he has on teams he's on.

All of what you mentioned is true, but you missed out on the MOST important factor that makes them a real threat: their defense. They were #1 in defensive rating during their 2021-22 championship year, but in the middle of the pack last year. This year you have a fully healthy GPII at the start of the year, a bouncy big in TJD, Draymond being Draymond, Kuminga with a newfound determination, CP3 being a pickpocket pest, Moody's length, Klay, Wiggins, etc.

They are already this good and it's just barely the start of regular season. They still have many more games to come to polish the team and gameplay and add more tactics. Coming playoffs they'll be deadly I'm sure of it

Is tough for me to think of CP3 as a bench guy, this team is doing so well though that they could switch up starters all year.

CP3 is doing great because of coming off the bench. He's too good for enemy second units and precisely what our young guys need. The problem has always been poor decision making keeping them off important minutes in tight games and the playoffs. CP3 fixes that. I think he's going to end up loving the game-winning power he'll have coming off the bench. +22 last game? That's just nuts...

I'll admit I didn't know what the hell management was doing with CP3 but I wanted to give it a chance and see what happens. The only way I thought it would make sense is if Kerr was going to ask CP3 to come off the bench at times and to my surprise he did. That's when I came to understand what their plan was overall. Wow, genius move with management.

People forget that during the championship year, Kuminga started 12 games while Klay was recovering. He's got the skills to become a full time starter if he's willing to stick with CP3 & the gang until they retire. Maybe after winning another 2 rings he'll be motivated to go for the Tim Duncan 5?

Poole was addition by subtraction. he was not a complete player anyway. We had a fractured linep last year with him in it and overall. This year we have Chris Paul giving us a veteran Point Guard on the floor when Curry isn't. GPII and his defense here all year and healthy. Kuminga and Moody stepping up finally in their third years, and Steph looking like he is 20 years old. Amazing. We did not win a road game until the 9th road game last year. We have won the first three already. By the way I love this analysis, great job Hoop Reports!

Deepest bench in the league is the number one reason we have a legit shot to win it all. Our first road series demonstrated this as we were blowing out the other team's bench unit.

I had BIG doubts about bringing CP3 into this... That's OVER. With the way they are utilizing him off the bench with the up and coming stars is hands down the only move that makes sense and fortunately for my team.. IT'S BRILLIANT.
