What's the benefits here?

The tape does play in the valve stem seal and can leak there

This is the misconception. If air reaches the valve stem it’s too late. If it leaks past the red bladder you’ve got a leak. The tape will not hold air between itself & the tube.

The only time it's OK for air to come out of the spokes or around the valve stems is when inflating the bladder as the air that's between the bladder and the spoke ripples needs to go somewhere when the bladder is inflated. I prefer gorilla tape to the stuff Nuetech supply

Pretty hard to seal something that get knocked around as much as a tire. That’s why I run mousse.

@@ChuckfromTrueTech yeah I might have to. Tried running tubliss without slim and it was no bueno. So now I got a bunch of sealant in the tires.

@@ridered6271 When installing, lube the shit out of the bladder, casing and tire bead with Armor All, which will make install easy also. Inflate the high pressure bladder to 110 PSI and it will generally seal well without having to use Slime. That has been my experience anyway!

Correct. And the soapy water is so important. I couldn’t get the air seal the first time using soda dish soap. Took the tire off and on again, and use body wash then it worked. Fuck dish soap
