It technically spelled bVII7. With the latter seven being spelled in superscript.

I joined the crew when it was about kpop songs I use to despise. Now it's about a dysney channel show I hated as a kid (watch I Carly in Romanian... you'll eventually get why). And I'm still here. Your channel got me into "music theory" (bought a book recently to finally educate myself), and I can't thank you enough for it. Although I'm still a dummy dumb drummer, I'm starting to be something of semi-educated musician... and it's quite refreshing.

I just found your channel today and your videos are ridiculously good! I'm a VG music/music theory nerd but I've never felt more targeted than with your analysis of one of my secret favorite theme songs. It's a perfect theme and the bVII7 literally changed my life. Something I learned from the video was the concept of "auxiliary" resolutions. Further back in my childhood I remember hearing the same sort of progression in Under the Sea and didn't know there was an actual term rather than just chromatic voice-leading convenience. Keep making videos about things you like!

Hyphen next to a chord symbol is shorthand for minor. So D- means D minor.

They had to cut the prechorus to make more time for underage girl feet! (I honestly like iCarly a lot, but in retrospect there's a few, uh, questionable aspects)

She doesnt really sing an F, and only sometimes a true F#. Its always somewhere inbetween and interpreting this as blues is misleading in my opinion
