Been riding super sports 20 years and have had all kinds. I have found that the 600’s are the best bang for your buck. You’ll never use the power of a liter on the street and if you do, you are not long for this world. And out of all the brands, I have found Honda to be the most comfortable and the easiest to handle in corners. And around 9-12,000RPM, it pulls identically to a liter bike. I totaled out my ‘18 CBR600RR last October. I’m finally getting another one tomorrow.

I agree with comfort. While yea, you could get a faster 600, can you ride it for hours without feeling like you need a new back? The hondas imo are the medium between fast and comfort.

I used to own a 2008 CBR600RR then I sold it and got myself a 2019 GSX-R 600. My old CBR is super light and much comfier and easier to ride than the GSX-R. On the other hand, I feel a lot more confident on the GSX-R while doing higher speeds because it's lower to the ground and the riding positing is more aggressive and probably that's why gixxer riders are known for being reckless. I loved my Honda but I had to sell it because the parts where I live are too expensive and Suzuki parts are dirt cheap. I live in Dubai and the rear wheel for my CBR600RR costs about $1,160 from the dealer and I can't trust used or Chinese wheels on my bike, The rear wheel for the 2019 GSX-R costs $470 from the dealer which is reasonable. and excuse my bad English

I own the model after this one. Never felt the need for a gear shift indicator because you literally can feel what gear you're in. The HESD saved my ass a couple of times which i love that it comes with stock. Fitted a full exhaust/headers and the sound and power is even better. Overall cannot complain, no problems. It also feels agile in corners and when you lean over it feels solid. Edit:Also the redline is at 15500

You don’t really need a gear indicator on any bike to be honest. Sure it’s a good feature at first, but as you get familiar with your bike you start to recognize what gear you’re in based on speed and revs. After that it becomes pretty redundant.

I probably try to shift into 7th ~3 times a week because my bike is still a bit new to me. That's about the worst thing that can happen to you from not knowing what gear you are in and its utterly harmless. It's always pretty easy to tell when you've gotten down into first, and for all the rest you just grab a gear in the direction you need. Simple. All that said, when I ride a bike with a gear indicator I think, "Oooh, it has a gear indicator." Heh.

Didn’t even realize my 07 had a steering dampener until a month after I bought the bike it works so good. You can barely feel it at low speed and not once have I got the wobble. I’ve owned it for three years.

  • @crpth1

I got to experience "the wobble" more than 20 years ago. Only once, riding at a bit more than 190 km/h, on a really tall bridge, of all the places! I was caught completely by surprise. As it started when the bike hit an expansion joint of the bridge. Beside the wobble effect, I veered a couple lanes. Getting extremely close to the edge of the said bridge. The perspective of flying down some 50 meters. didn't help in that experience, at all. All in all the near death experience, was not only a lesson well learned. But also one to never forget. ;-)

I personally think the 08 09 fireblades look the best. Regardless cbr is my preference for 600 class. I've rode alot of variety but nothing has the bottom end like the cbr, which makes commuting way easier. Not to mention they feel crazy light compared to most where center gravity is a lil higher. Aside from that all of the big 4 are generally within the same bracket in the top end.

Do not believe I ever owned a motorcycle in my life that had a gear indicator. Once you become one with the bike you just know what gear you're in and if you have any doubts you reach down and grab a handful of clutch lever and kick up the shift lever and see if there's anything left. Never needed a gear indicator. Not sure if my gs850l had one or not now that I think about it. Anyway that was over 30 years ago so hard to think that far back. Anyway another great video Sean.
