I'm on my 4th. All between the 2007-2012 model. Current is 09. You cannot go wrong. I had an 07 R6 before my current bike. cbr just felt so much better in my opinion. Not saying the R6 was bad in any way. But cbr600rr is just an amazing bike. Upload a vid of your bike if you get yours! Mine has a MGP growler and it sounds mean af!

I ride an 05 CBR600RR with a 2 Brothers and a rider caught me at the light to let me know that he thought my bike had the "perfect sound". I don't disagree with him.

Quick question for y’all. I’m looking into getting a cbr600, what year was the steering damper introduced to these bikes? And would it really matter too look into on with a already installed steering damper?

​@@izikguzman7081hesd stands fir honda electronic steering damper. It's a electric module instead of the mechanical metal ones like ohlins. It does the job well and at high speeds like hwy rides it does a very good job of tank slapping/wobbles but to an extend. All in all its very good and high tech. I believe it came in the 07-12 generation which is the best and fastest and best looking imo, also that model will go up in value which it already has especially the 07/08 year model specifically. Their raw and the fastest, from those years on it gotten more limited, slower etc.. but their still good all the way through current cbr600rrs. I recommend those ones. I had 1 10 years ago and commuted daily to work for 3 years with no issues, even the occasional abusing it, its so reliable and never let me down. Even crashing ( soft and low side crashes and 1 high side) it still goes. Hope that helps and goodlcuk

@@izikguzman7081I believe after 2007 or 2008 they have an electronic steering dampener. The previous year 600rr’s don’t have any kind of steering dampener system if I remember correctly.

had the 2023 for 5 months now... and i agree with everything you said... i use it for the same purpose and street mostly and occasional canyons.... this bike has made me fall in love with life again... maybe even saved my life... its perfect for me also... enjoy brudda

Actually comfort was one of the reasons why I picked my 600RR over an R6 or GSXR.... That and the fuel gauge. 😂

Very nice cbr! I have the same bike, mines an 09. I love mine also. I started on a 250, my 600rr is on an entirely different planet than my 250. I'm still getting used to my cbr, I got it Oct 2022. I've made one video, plan to make more.

I started on a 250 also and only rode it for a season. It was so slow lol. Life happened and I never bought another bike. That was 10 years ago 😅 I’m shopping for a cbr600rr now. I’m a little worried about the power after not riding for that long but I’m just gonna take it slow and respect the bike.

I have an 04 and im 5'7 and can just barely flat foot! Insane power, so much comfier than the new R7 I tested at a dealership. Love the deep growl at the low RPMS and scream at the highs (ive got a yoshi rs5) and get compliments on the sound all the time

uh the r7 is a half inch taller and ergonomics are way more aggressive because it’s the successor to the R6 that was discontinued …

@champainshane Yeah the height difference isn't the biggest but it's enough of a difference for me specifically to be more comfortable! And yes, its made to be more aggressive bc its meant to be a street/track bike. Hence, why the CBR seat is wider and more comfortable. It's all completely up to each rider and their inseam! I know those FZR's are insane and wonderful bikes, I'd still get one for sure!! I just can't afford one new and I'd rather not finance a bike. Plus, no offense to the riders, but there's so many brand new riders on brand new R7s, and it lowkey gives a bad rep

Funny I had the same exact bike as you, same color, same arrow headers and 2bros exhaust and my next and current bike is a S1KRR.

I got the motodynamic headlight upgrade on mine, best mod I've done.

I liked my 03 r6 better then my 09 cbr 600rr. Got up to the top speed quicker but the cbr sounds amazing and looks soo much cleaner.

I think any year R6 I’ve ever seen looks way better than the same year CBR, no question about it whatsoever. Yamaha is just so much better at making beautiful bikes, whereas aesthetics is one of the areas that Honda is lacking in most

@@juicy9592 I kinda figured that. But it still got to the top speed quicker no doubt cause every time you shift your still in the power band vs Honda the power band is mid range. Unless you shift early asf you won’t get there as quick and you’ll loose top speed.

Not all Cbr make their power in the midrange it depends on year I think either 2006 or 2007 is the year they went from all the power in the top end (like the r6) to more midrange

Love the bike, but absolutely hate the old fashioned digital speedos on the CBRs . They've been around for around 25 years now and need updating.

So... you don't like the breaks :) lol. I know how you feel I started on a Honda as well ,and loved every second of riding it. I also agree about the breaks but, you can upgrade ,and swap those out. The 05-09 cbr 600's were absolute fire❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥 ,and the fastest 6's on the road by far.

I put ebc sintered pads on my 08 cbr and it helped a lot. I also added stainless steel lines and brembo rcs19 master cylinder, now the brakes are great

I finally stopped carrying my wallet in my jacket pocket as it FINALLY after so so many hundreds and hundreds of miles in the twisties it was unzipped and bounced out somehow...I searched for hours and finally DID find it RIGHT on the double yellow in the twisties WHEW! Now? I ONLY keep it my inside breast pocket with the velcro closure

Hondas are my fav bikes too bro, hands down. And YES I do the SAME THING checking my jacket pocket for my wallet and airpods over and over again after losing a pair of airpods on a ride once when I forgot to zip my pocket lol

Better visibility to people in cars and also makes the bike look better. High beam turns on both headlights vs just 1 and people wont tell you that you have a headlight out..🤣
