    You picked a great bike. Timeless looks. Performance is just as good as any modern 600 if not better, it came out it was jaw dropping. I had an 07RR after my 03 GSXR1000 which was my 1st streetbike but I rode dirtbikes my entire childhood up to a 650. I loved my Honda. If you really wanna do a mod that you'll really feel do a 520 chain sprocket conversion with -1,+2. You'll lose a little top end but the acceleration will feel ballistic. I guarantee you'll love it. Oh and I did 400mile rides in a day no problem with my RR. Ride safe...good luck with your new bike.

    Appreciate the love and checking out the video! I love my RR as well! Was considering the sprocket change. Any idea how much about top end mph you lose?

  • @davidlagno7717

    @davidlagno7717

    3 ай бұрын

    @illusiversx NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Maybe 10mph. But your gonna accelerate so much faster and get into the higher revs almost immediately. You'll need to be easier on the throttle as specially 1st and 2nd gear the wheel is gonna lift right up. Your gonna need a speedo healer too because not only will the speedometer be off but it will rack more miles than your actually doing and you can't reverse that. I love 600RR's!!! You should wait until your completely comfortable with the bike before doing this mod. You will keep up with liter bikes until you hit redline in 6th gear. 150 something mph. Then that's when they'll leave you in the dust. And you might take them off the line at a greenlight! There's alot of ways to get more speed and performance but the 520 conversion is by far the most drastic change you can make 👍 Trust me I had 18 grand invested in my RR before it got stolen and they wanted it so bad they broke through my garage door and grinded off a kryptonite chain and cable to get it. I had everything done to that bike over a 3yr period. Then I got an S1000RR and I'm on my 2nd one and a Bandit 1250 streetfighter that is a never ending project. I've been obsessed since a kid when the Honda F3 Hurricane came out. I'm very disappointed in the direction motorcycling has taken with these parallel twins with crap everything but electronic tech. That's not what a true enthusiast is after. It's the freedom and the thrill!!!! You picked a great 1st bike kiddo.

    dad took me on rides on his 2006 cbr1000rr when i was like 5 years old to 10. just bought my first "street legal" bike a 2007 cbr600rr (ridden a 2016 crf 150 mostly and a 2020 crf250l for speed on highway and street and construction sites) love it so far other than the excessive engine braking i like to slow down via revmatch downshifting and front brake. have my permit test in 5 days ridden it around a bit and just need to tune in some gas when letting go of throttle for more comfy town riding. other than the excessive engine braking, small bike 6 foot 5, and dookie clutch im replacing this week its amazing. cant wait to hit over 100 mph. taking it slow but my ability to ride up to 80 mph id say is pretty uch high level intermediate. been practicing trail riding slow speed maneuvers etc since i was 10 years old on little 85s 125s etc. that 600 inline 4 zoom is NUTTY. since hes ridden my bike hes about to buy a 2025 cbr 1000rrr sp. cant wait to ride that eventually

    Once you've been riding for awhile, you'll realise "stats" having zero influence over choosing and riding a bike. An experience rider will leave you behind on a 400cc arond twisties. You did mention, but yes 💯 depends on personal preference and circumstances. All the bikes are as good as each other. Have fun swapping for different brands and types of bikes. Welcome to the 2 wheel fam :) Ps. Don't need to improve bhp, but a steering damper is a must.

    There are 2 ways that I am aware of to get your bike license in america. 1) you sign up for your Temps which is very similar to how u get your actual drivers license. You can renew it a few times and it lasts 6 months I believe. After your Temps expire you are able to take some sort of test to deem you worthy of your bike license. 2) You take a designated MSF course and at the end of the weekend long course, (hands on and textbook lessons) you take a test scored by the riding instructors. If you pass u get your license. I chose option 2 as I've never touched a motorcycle before. That's also what most people choose to do as it's the most safe and smart option to get into riding. Hope this helps

I would look into it tho and see the seat height for each bike as it's all accessible info. Personally being 5' 6" basically 5' 7", I knew right away I wasn't going to be comfortable on it. But that is the beauty of bikes so I lowered it 3 inches and never looked back. I never question myself on it anymore. Honestly these bikes are Damm near bulletproof. Like yes "low" miles is always better but personally I found it to be a better deal and better outcome sometimes buying a well maintained high mileage vehicle. Like yes the more miles the more worn everything is but these engines are really well made. Mine currently has 48k miles and runs amazing. Personally I wouldn't tell someone to only buy a bike with 20k miles or less because it all depends how the previous owner maintained it. A 100k mile bike with good maintenance can run better than one with 10k miles and little to no maintenance. Just my opinion

    I'm more leaning towards the 2007+ r6s, but I do like the 2007+ cbr600s, tho I'm kind of indifferent towards this previous version, I think the cbr1000r with this styling hit it off better. Overall I hope to get an r6 when I'll be able to get the unrestricted license here in europe at 24, because I couldn't get the A2 license when I was 18 because of covid, and have put it off for the last 4 years because of uni and now that I technically could go for the A2 and get a 45hp max bike, it just wouldn't matter, I'd still have to wait 2 years and by that time I can go directly to A because of age without having A2 and it would mean I'd have wasted money right now getting the A2. I fucking hate it, they should have made it so you could get the A without A2 at 20, not 24. I've wanted to get a bike since I was 17, now I'm just going to keep postponing it and by the time I can get a license I won't be able to get a bike I want, the eu gov might implement euro 6 for bikes or something and kill off basically anything with more than 3 cylinders and all second hand shit will explode in price or something and bam, dream gone down the drain, like always, I hate it.

  • @illusiversx

    I'm personally the opposite. I think the 600s look better the 1000s. Everyone has there preference but if it has an undertail exhaust I'm all about it. I have heard about Europe with all your emission laws as well as strict rules. Hopefully if you think of it this way, it helps keep people who are irresponsible off the road? The US has a problem with that

  • @vali69

    @vali69

    3 ай бұрын

    @@illusiversx yeah, I like undertail exhaust too especially the cbr600, the second gen all around to be exact looks amazing, like to explain better, I think the second gen cbr600rr looks the best out of all the cbrs, than the 04 to 05 cbr1000rr and than the first gen cbr600rr. I also think the new cbr1000rrr and cbr600r look good, but I can't really compare them to these older ones because they're decades apart and the in between models just didn't hit it off design wise Imo and it never felt like the designs evolved like how it has for different brands, especially kawasaki. Anyways, when it comes to the eu license, I think they're great and they do help people not get themselves plastered on the road, especially when you consider how much better the teaching is. But it sucks when it directly affects me but I guess it's just my fault and I'll just accept it and just search for a more conservative bike when I finally do get my license and hope I end up with something I like, maybe a new rc390 or an older sv650.

I won't call myself a "professional" rider as I just started out a year ago but I don't see how having a smaller bike would help any of this. Owning a bike is all about knowing your limits and self control. Compared to a lot of other riders I feel I have a lot of self control. I do my best to not ride like an asshole all the time but if I said I don't at times I'd be lieing as we all do.
