2:08 Bulletproof your immune system *free course!
Today we’re going to talk about why you should sleep with a pillow between your legs. A pillow that is flatter and is not too big or too small may work well. You want a pillow that will raise up the knee just enough so that the spine is level.
Potential benefits of sleeping with a pillow between your legs:
1. Reduce or prevent low back pain
2. Reduce sciatica pain
3. Reduce knee pain
4. Reduce hip pain
5. Improve breathing

I design and manufacture sleep pillows. When you see pillow densities listed as; soft, medium, firm, and extra firm, you need to read that to mean; thinner, thin, thicker, and thickest. So, a ‘softer pillow’ is technically the thinnest in the grouping of densities. This specifically applies to feather pillows or down pillows. Additionally, standard size pillows are the ‘smallest’ of the sleep pillows (20” x 26”) while king size pillows as you might expect are the largest. You should still use a pillow protector (defined as having a zipper) and a pillowcase which does NOT have a zipper and wash both of those items every weekend with your other bedsheets to slow down the yellowing that typically happens with all bedding over time. I hope that helps.

This has done WONDERS for my back and sleep. I was waking up with achy legs and back constantly. All day was a drag with pain and taking IBU. I just so happened to be watching a tv program with a guy who had back problems and had a segment when he went to sleep that he used a knee pillow. Suddenly I thought, hey that might be just what I need. Ordered one on Amazon and now I cant sleep or rest without it. They're cheap too!

Having lower back problems, sleeping with a pillow between my legs has been a huge relief. I can’t sleep without it. I start sleeping on my right side and with sleep apnea (using the dream machine) and having Afib, helps very much with these problems. During the night I find myself turning over to the left and some time sleeping face up. But the best is having the pillow between my legs. It helps a lot.

When I had my hip replaced 22 yrs ago, they had me use a foam wedge to keep my hips apart until I was healed. To this day, I still use a pillow between my legs as it helps with my back which I also had a discectomy on. Only thing that sucks about it as when you toss and turn, you have to move the pillow with you.

Try to find a way to either fasten velcro tabs on it to use velcro straps to wrap around your legs or something with a hook like a bungee cord that you can wrap around legs but fasten to the wedge. Just some thoughts on the idea to jump start trying to help the problem. Good luck!
