When it comes to looking younger, we're really dealing with the accumulation of damaged proteins.
The more damaged proteins you have, internally and externally, the older you'll look. Damaged proteins can cause a lot of problems throughout the body and can also make you look old.
A big cause of damaged proteins is AGEs (advanced glycation end products). To get rid of AGEs, you need to get your body into a condition called autophagy. Autophagy recycles old damaged proteins to make new ones. This is essential to help you look younger.
The best way to get into autophagy is by doing intermittent fasting. If you're already doing intermittent fasting, you can also try OMAD (one meal a day). If you're experienced with OMAD, you could try dry OMAD.
Additional ways to look younger:
• Get plenty of sun or infrared light
• Support your liver
• Support bile production
• Consume enough fat in your diet
• Consume plenty of vegetables and have them with fat (like olive oil)
• Support your antioxidant networks (by doing exercise and fasting)
• Don't consume sugar or refined carbs
• Stop smoking
• Work hard to counter stress
• Make sure you consume a moderate amount of high-quality protein
• Support your microbiome

Dr Berg can you clarify in regards to oils like expeller pressed sunflower oil? Is that still inflammatory if it's expeller pressed or does that not make a difference? I try as best I can to avoid any of the other known inflammatory oils but it's really hard to find certain foods that don't have some type of an inflammatory oil. Sometimes I see expeller pressed and wonder if that's better. Thank you!

DR.Berg, back in 2010 I started experiencing PCOS symptoms along with insulin resistance and etc., you probably know the drill, and educating myself, exploring those topics I can say I’ve made my body a temple, today at 30 years, I’m healthy and very youth looking. All the things you have mentioned in this video I have conclude to work, since I’ve done it and doing it this whole time. I’m currently working more on my lower body strength (to help with my neck and back pressure because I’m a professional violinist), and been thinking about going a little up with the protein. Currently I’m consuming one palm, do you think adding a little more will disrupt the gut health - in the past I had good results with eating slightly more in building muscle-strength. But don’t want to mess my good routine I already have.

Good for you kid! You are way ahead of most of us. I’m 73 and was a kid in the 50s (White wonder bread, bologna, spaghetti, Mac & cheese. ). Then the 70s with all the processed food and the food pyramid that emphasized carbs. Then I had kids and used slimfast and packaged soy foods to lose weight from having kids. It’s a wonder I’m still alive.

I've always had a hard time with reading books or listening to certain people when it comes to learning. But when I watch your videos Dr Berg they are so informative and interesting that I'm happy enough to absorb every bit of information that you educate us with and I'm super grateful that you're on KZread. I was doing intermittent fasting a couple of years ago and I remember everyone around me telling me it's not a good idea but physically and mentally I was feeling amazing, not only did I look younger and feel younger but I was more energetic and Less lethargic as well as very optimistic. Once I stopped it was really hard to get back into it, but now since I've come across your videos I can't wait to get started again!

Dr. Berg, thank you for all your efforts to keep us healthy. Over the past two years, I have lost a significant amount of weight while fasting. Even though I've been around the sun and moon for almost 54 years, I still feel like a teenager. In the morning, I drink black coffee and break my 16 to 18 hour fast with protein. For a drink at night, I use my coldpress juicer to make cucumber, ginger, lemon, and pineapple juices. It's all about taking care of the inside before dressing up the outside - like a false advertisement! It's always better to keep things simple. Taking liquid vitamins and vitamin K2 + D3 is a must for me. Taking care of my body is like painting on a wall - you have to prep the surface before you start applying the paint, or else it won't look as good as you want it to.

Your work is wonderful!!! I wanted to share that Since I discovered (after intermittent fasting) DRY fasting it became so easy to have regularly 'dry weekends' (about every second WE, Fri night to Monday morning normally)... nobody want's to believe me in my surrounding, that thirst stops quickly and then everything is peaceful and relaxed inside...people think it's unhealthy, but I can FEEL that it is releasing free energy and makes me joyful and fit...THANK YOU for mentioning this possibility so few Dr.s speak about! :-))) (Laurence, your true follower from France, practicing Wim Hof Method too, and feeling great ...)
