Why Shade IS Essential for Cattle - Joel Salatin Inspired Shade Mobile.
Josh from @ayersvalleyfarm explains how we use a mobile shade structure designed by Polyface to keep our 100% pasture raised, grassfed beef happy and healthy.
Utilization of this tool increases weight gain, decreases stress on the animals, and helps the farmers distribute manure and urine throughout the pasture.

Thank you for sharing. This world needs more people like you and Joel. It seems as though the 'old ways' of common sense practices are coming back around and becoming new again.

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” .. the old ways work and we’re here to work in sync with Mother Nature!
I love the idea. Does it get blown over in bad weather? That's my only concern.
Great ideas from you guys, thank you!
Practical items. Is what I sponge in.

Thanks Daniel! We appreciate it!
Farming for the future! Would solar panels work in there?

You could potentially attach solar panels on top but it’s 80% shade cloth so 20% sunlight comes through it.
What is the measurements on it and how many cows do you have using it?

It is 36 feet long and 20 feet wide. Currently it is being used by 25 yearlings but could accommodate up to 40-60 head depending on sizes.
