The biggest joke ever was the Face to Face break up in 2003. I saw their “last show” at Soma in San Diego 😂 I think your right, I’d be surprised if they quit doing shows, too many fans and it’s in their blood

Not gonna lie I’m still sad about watching my last show in Brisbane Been watching u guys for 25 years

They broke the news literally 4 days after they played near my home and then said they were never coming back to this area, that the final tour would not include a stop anywhere nearby and that pissed me right off. I didn’t go to the show cause I had work and thought “they come through every year and I’ve seen em a bunch, I’ll catch ‘em next time.” I would’ve quit my job to see them the last time if I had known. Oh well…live and learn. Go see your favourite bands always. Don’t procrastinate! They might just break up 4 days after you missed them in your town.

Facts...

If someone hosted-and-promoted a Punk-rock festival very near to LA, and handled all logistics such that NOFX could throw their stuff into the trunk of their Subaru and be on-stage in 15 minutes.....they'd play.

I think NOFX would have made it bigger if they just embraced the word Whoa a little more.

Yeah, except they haven't put out a GOOD album in the better part of 20 years. A handful of good songs, but it's mostly been low effort stuff. Maybe this will help their creativity. I kinda doubt it though.

Lol it’s so tough… when you’re hungover the whole time. Apart from that it’s sleeping in a luxury motorhome and playing music.

Touring is rough when youre wasted for 30 years straight... its probably for the best

people who say touring isnt tiring... tiring for a healthy person, add booze and drugs like some of these guys do, be amazed they are still alive, let alone touring for as long as they have. Boys need a break.

I thought the title was implying they were done touring with Smelly specifically. Ironically he seems to be the only one who wants to keep touring.

NOFX start a KZread page. You can go LIVE and reach international community. Instead of us comming to you at concert. You can come to us LIVE on here. Practice or LIVE SHOW?

There is no way (NOFXing way) those guys are never going to play a show again. I believe the last KISS farewell tour (whatever number farewell tour it was) before I believe that NOFX are done playing shows. 😂 They should announce their reunion show this week and make it the shortest breakup ever.

Final tour....it ends when they say it ends. It could go on and on. Their first tour was the final tour if you think about it....

I'm watching this 8 months later... they have tour dates in Australia 2024.... so yea.

I don’t believe they will never play again they have been a band 40 years and after a few years everyone will really miss playing. I wish bands would slow down before getting to this point like shit record an album then play a handful of shows like LA, NYC,DC, VEGAS you know just A-markets, play 2 shows a week for 2 weeks then 2 weeks off so u can either spend time hanging out in those places or fly home or just do one off shows which would be much easier for NOFX because they don’t have some huge production all they need to do is bring a couple guitars each, rent amps and a drum kit or use ax-effects/kemper it would be much easier for them then many bands plus they dont care about being perfect. They literally could have a small crew set the stage up for Them they could fly out there a few hours before the show, play the show and fly home after.

Ha you wanted to say Red Rocks. Well it better be the 1st stop on their On the road again tour! I don't think they are even playing Denver this last go around. It fucking sucks! But I am glad they will still be making albums!

I think the cool thing for a punk/rock band to do these days is if you aren't going to tour-just don't. Otherwise you sound lame if you do end up touring after swearing you're not.

Mike's brain's broken because of drugs, it's been for a long time... Sad...

They'll play again eventually. Unfortunately, if Smelly didn't want to I think Mike would replace him. IMO

It will make me boycott Fat Wreck if they charge inflated prices for a final farewell tour and then go back on it. Imagine actually saving money for that sort of thing and then the band says fuck you about it. So I kind of hope this is their final tour because it will be seriously shitty to the fans that pay for those shows if its not true.

Don't buy it for a second. They should say they won't do 30/40/50 date tours anymore. But they could still do 1-3 shows a year. They shouldn't say they'll never perform again. It's just not gonna age well.

NOFX and Sum 41 were both huge influences for me as far as melodic punk goes. Few do it as good as these two bands and I hope that I can bring that same level of quality.

Mike must've gotten a better hook up back home compared to on the road. This is the result of that. Wait till the quality goes down and they'll be back

how is "the road" tough when you're a big punk rock band????? Your gear is flown to the city, let's say Austin or wherever. You have roadies set everything up. Your guitar is tuned for you. All you have to do is get on a plane, probably first class, and fucking show up. Wow, that sounds really rough. The touring life is so crazy. And then after the show you hang out with a few people, maybe explore the city, and then hit the hotel. Touring in NOFX is not hard. You literally just get on a first class flight. Everything else is done. Then pick up your guitar. Then sing... "he spent sixteen years, getting loaded..."

I would still go see NOFX without fat mike. This band IS my youth. I have never enjoyed myself more at any show.

How many times has Fat Mike said he’s “now sober”? I take it with a grain of salt.

Just play local gigs at the beginning, middle and end of summer. Have the audience come see you

They're gonna get board and Mike will get the itch to fuck with the crowds and make people laugh...I give it two yrs...maybe not touring but definitely gonna play some shows and maybe a festival reunion...bet it'll be at Punk Rock Bowling....just don't do what the Misfits did and go play arenas with $500 tickets to be anywhere near the stage.

I can't imagine them not playing the odd date here n there, I've seen them live n it was great but horrible show, think people were at the side of the stage waiting to kill them by the end of the set, think its written about in the hepatitis bathtub book, it was Gig On The Green in Glasgow Scotland

Looking forward to seeing them again, less than a year after their final tour 😂 £76 for a ticket. Wonder if they’ll be playing their anti-Capitalist songs.

The thing is: construction is consistent. You start at a certain hour and end at a certain hour. You know when your day begins and ends. It’s similar every day. It may be tough, but it’s consistent. We’re creatures of habit. People need this consistency and they don’t realize it. Touring provides NONE of that consistency. There is no permanence to anything. You do it for months on end and you have no idea where you are. You wake up in a different place every day and they all eventually blend together. It sounds cool but it can get old very fast. I followed a friend around on a tourbus for 3 weeks and it was fascinating but more exhausting than you think. Do it for months and it takes its toll simply because humans really don’t fare very well when their environments are constantly changing. If nothing in your life is permanent, you kinda lose a sense of who you are. I know that sounds like hyperbole but it kinda explains why touring is harder than you think.
