Netflix needs to renew Messiah 2. They left people hanging! This was the most excellent series ever on Netflix. The show doesn't offendt any religion, or country! We are fighting to get Messiah 2 back!

He never claimed to be a prophet! He said he is "The Word". Rebecca said he is a messenger. The people labeled and followed him on their own choice. In no way does this series offend religions, countries or people. It's how one conceives the show. You must watch and listen very carefully. It is about UNITY in the world. To make change. No borders, no separation from each other. Just peace and unity.

As someone who's very interested in religion, I never even saw a commercial for it until 2 days ago... and then watched all 10 episodes. Clearly, it was intended to be hypothetical, centered around people's reactions, rather than biblical accuracy... but the attention to detail was pretty good. Yes, there were some negative stereotypes of both Muslims and Christians and Atheists, etc. But, I really respect how the show showed the diversity of views in each. There were also totally caring Muslims and Christians and Atheists... even Mormons got some acknowledgement there. It did very well, showing that none of these groups are monoliths. There are good individuals and corrupt individuals everywhere. And, the central theme of "the past is done, humans should live in peace" was communicated very well. The scripting was good. And the psychology was very realistic, with people having biases, and doubting themselves, and taking some irrational actions. Plus, it didn't just drop a "this is the good guy and that's the bad guy" ... it started off legitimately making the audience believe this represented a real messiah.... then legitimately demonstrating that he wasn't... but maybe... but definitely not... then... well then, sure. Not just "vague, bad story telling" like some directors... but legitimately showing evidence that was hard to refute... until it made a strong case in the other direction. I think this was actually a VERY important piece of media in our time because especially right now, there are a lot of people legitimately looking for a messiah to arrive. Even Orthodox Judaism is making claims this year, which is a bit abnormal. So, this could be useful to keep in mind, that not everything is what it appears to be.

this is the FIRST ever show I had ever continually seen on Netflix or anywhere, I barely have time to watch a movie let alone an entire show but guess what ? Great show. Just watched it last night. I don’t know why I haven’t seen it before. I thought the ending was confusing but it was a great one at that! I definitely thought it was a great cliff hanger for a season 2. The main character was great and the other actors as well. I would definitely love to sign any petition to bring back season 3. Imagine that? The second season is already written. Disappointed fans all over I’m sure. How is anyone offended by this movie. As a Christian it just makes you think about life and your own faith and your relationship with God! I say YES to season 2, let people decide for themselves if they want to watch it or not.

Never been more disappointed at the cancellation of a show. Hope they will consider bringing it back. Please!

There is an interesting ending to the show, but we are still left with questions and there could have been so much more to explore.

I love it how so many people in the comments have so many different ideas, stories and theories about what might have happen. That's why i love this show. It comes with so many mysterys. And everyone from all sorts of religions, cultures and countries would love to see where this is going. It brings so many different kind of people together which is why this show is actually a big succes.

I really hope you are right that it was coronavirus that stopped a 2nd season. I love this show. I thought it was so thought provoking and so inclusive. We saw him from so many different religions and sects within those religions, from a societal perspective, from a investigative perspective? Is he the Messiah? A Pretender? Something more sinister? Something we as humans cannot comprehend, the nature of God. The cinematography was stunning and the storyline right down to the end, where even the obvious, appears to have more going on. Please Netflix make a second season when all this coronavirus stuff is over. A show worthy of season 2.

It was the coronavirus that stopped the show. It would of been too expensive to shoot during the pandemic especially across multiple countries

This was a very interesting show. A solid tv series. I hope it gets renewed on another network if Netflix is too dumb to take it. There are several unanswered questions as to what would've happened to the characters. There is way too much potential that is being wasted by ignorant Netflix executives. Bring it back.

I just discovered this show. This was fantastic and I loved this show. Season 2 -- PLEASE!

The reason they cancelled season 2 wasn't due to political/religion issue, its simply due to COVID19. The show was filmed in a lot of locations worldwide, they can't travel with the pandemic atm. Also, the show had actors from different countries (Israelis, for example), they can't recruit actors from other countries right now. Hopefully, they will renew the show after the pandemic, I'm willing to wait as long as it takes, this show is so worth it.

I reckon there is an agenda to why this show would be cancelled and I don't think it has anything to do with Muslims or Islam. I just finished watching this series and the first thing I thought was "what would you do if a so-called messiah was to arrive before you?". In this day and age, we have grown to be skeptic of anything and everything which pretty much divides every man, woman and child. Faith is now just a 5 letter word left in churches and hospitals as well as political rallies. We wouldn't even know if Jesus was before us without someone wanting to debunk who he is. All because he's not of the same religion as you, because he is not a woman/man, because he is white/black, because he is not a democrat or republican....the list goes on. Coming back to the series, Messiah can be summed up as thought provoking, an ideology. It can also be detrimental to someone else's cause(ie. government, religious faction etc hint hint).

This is completely unacceptable. Since the script is finished, where can we read it? Where can we see this if Netflix can't stand up to it who can?

This series deserve to continue because we are finding some answers what will gonna happen next and even the character is A bad person but we need to see what will happen next

Incredibly well written/directed/produced and some outstanding performances, I absolutely loved this tv programme and have been waiting for the 2nd series. This is the first I've heard of it not happening (yet) but if it is due to "The Rona" then I can wait. If it's because of people "feeling offended" then I suggest they just don't watch it. It really is that simple. There are many things I find offensive so I just don't look at them. Works every time and leaves no scars.

What a fascinating series. When finally we get a decent show on TV it is cancelled. It should not have been cancelled becase some groups have a different opinion. We have to see things in a more open way and not like 1000 years ago. I hope Netflix reevaluate this or may be Amazon can develop this. We have to stand for freedom.

It wasn't cancelled because of differences of opinion. If that was the case, cuties would have been cancelled/pulled off the service and so many other shows. It was simply because of whatever decision Netflix felt was right at the time due to covid (but that shouldn't be a major problem anymore). They should bring back the show.

It was cancelled because the Messiah character felt like alpha male along with the Mosad agent Aviram. Netflix is run by SJWs, Indians and Feminists so they don't want this type of deeper series anymore. I wish Amazon or other streaming service should have picked it up where it left off.

When the Israeli Press says it was cancelled due to muslims you can bet it was cancelled due to jews. This is typical! I have never heard a negative word about Jesus from a muslim since you guys believe he was a prophet. Jews however think Jesus Christ was a complete fraud and primary enemy of their religion. Moreover jews are traditionally far more represented in american filmmaking that muslims ever came close to be and that's an understatement.

JFYI, Big Mouth is getting its 8th season, and they cancel every high-quality show. They want to dumb down the world.

It was cancelled because it woke to many people up from the matrix. Any one who said he was the anti-christ, evidently he isnt because there would be a season 2 if he was.

I would have suggested it go in the direction of mental acumen where the messiah is the 3rd human in history to push himself so completely towards what we call the divine that his ego effectively dies. It's the goal of buddhists, some taoists, and many westerners who have taken up this practice to get as close to the divine inside us all to the point of the death of the ego, which is oddly felt by the other humans near these people who have done this. It's like there's an inner dimensional gate a door that opens where the divine pours out into the physical world, and others around these people can feel this emanation.

Actually, this movie perfectly reflects how human will react if such a thing occurs. The interesting is that it absolutely exhibits on of most important message of Allah in holy Quran, that strictly denies separation in religion and condemns all such separatists.

I loved the show and am gutted there won’t be a 2nd series. I would however love to read the script for the 2nd series if it was ever released???

In the event that no second season gets aired, I'd be happy with a book or book series. I'd buy it and many, many other people would.

I know it's not possible to travel and film around the world know, but surely maybe in the second half of 2021 they will be able to work? 2022? It's a great story and I want to know what happened. There is a difference between postponing filming until further notice and just cancelling the show altogether.

The cancel season 2 but season is still on netflix so what's the point if it is still up to view ? I think there will be a continuation.

What a shame if there is really no Season 2. Can Netflix atleast make a special episode to properly address the cliffhangers?

If there isn't going to be a second season they should at least push for something like a 2-3 part special where they tie it up nicely.

as a christian I really enjoyed this show and want a second season, obviously it doesn't perfectly reflect christianity but its a fictional tv show! it gave different perspectives and i think the show is great because no matter what your beliefs are the show will be enjoyable and you can make your own judgements. i wish people would stop being so offended at everything

I think it perfectly portrays how if Jesus were to come back as described in the Bible, most people would reject him. Including yourself. I’m shocked you didn’t learn that lesson while watching it.

This was an excellent Netflix series, really good acting and characters, a great script and topic. I didn't see anything that denigrated religion, but did question what people believe in a follow. It appeared that it would be going in the direction of bringing people from different religions together, not tearing them apart. I don't see any reason why it would be a sci-fi, nor should it go there. It would certainly lose me and probably a lot of viewers if it did. Keep it realistic to what it is and on the vein it is now.

This show had me doing flips!!! I binge watched it in a couple of days. AWESOMENESS 👌. It had me personally examining myself. And I am a long time Christian. The cancelation was most likely due to the love and unity of all aspect. It definitely causes you to seriously self reflect. The "Powers and Authorities" do not want a population that is unified under God. This story is a direct threat to their power.

It is absolutely mind boggling. I watched it 3x as there is so much packed into the story line and location sites...all I have been to over the years. I don't usually watch TV and was so thankful for been introduced to it. As for the majority of Muslims, they would not have mind at all. If anyone was going to object to it, I point the finger to Covid 19 and it would not surprise me some Israelites . Long live Palestine.

My friend recommended this series to me. I ended up finish watching it in 10 hours.

I literally watched the series in one day because it was compelling and really gripped me.

This was one of the best shows ever. I can't wait for a second season. I'm a muslim and this theme is almost coherent. The only thing I didn't like is when people called him god because in islam messiah is only a prophet.

I am not Muslim. But Messiah Netflix has been one of the best series ever. If you closely watch each scene, you will clearly learn who Al- Massih really is. The most amazing and phenomenal series ever written.

this is the FIRST ever show I had ever continually seen on Netflix or anywhere, I barely have time to watch a movie let alone an entire show but guess what ? I was devastated to know the show had been cancelled. It is so addictive, you don't want to watch anything else, it's pointless !! why netflix, why ?

I really liked this movie!!! I got to the last episode and realized it was the only season, I need to know what happens next. Lol You can't start a great story and just leave everyone hanging... I was really hoping to know everyone's back story more than care to know what the government's or everyone's plans are for P.G. It very interesting on how he has a good sense in people. Love his character.!!! I would love if they can proceed with the seasons.

This is one of the most brilliant shows that legitimately exposed and criticized the most dangerous terrorist countries in the world: the USA and Israel. There were so many fantastic life-changing scenes such as Al-Masih telling the President to withdraw all USA’s troops as the first step towards achieving world peace. I would like to imagine such a powerful show full of brutally honest moments that expose the crimes of the CIA and whatnot may have contributed to the cancellation. Perhaps it’s really the pandemic as you said.

There was no Muslim outrage

This show rocked. Everybody contact Netflix and tell them you're cancelling in two months if they don't commit to season 2. 1. The depiction of a Mesiah-like character was perfect. The Gospels recount how Jesus was constantly frustrated by everyone's preconceptions, their need for "my religion to be the right one", and the political and financial misuse of religion. 2. Beth got resurrected, how cool was that?

I'm cancelling Netflix over they cancelled a show.

Many think he is the antichrist. People must listen carefully! Each scene has its own truth. Watch what he does. Listen to his words. He never says he is the Messiah. The miracles, never eats or drinks, and the final scene is so important. We need a second season!

How could there not be season 2 it was a really good first season, there was a series called Carnivalle that was canceled the same way.

Simple, its controversial. People will complain because it defies some peoples faith in reality. I do hope they continue though, it is a powerful show, very intriguing.

There is only one direction to take the series in. Truth. He's not a conman, he's not an alien, he's not a messiah, he's a man made of flesh and bone that understands the mechanics of belief and want's to use it to end history. Just as he said himself. A man who understands that reality is an illusion, that everyone has put their own layer of "truth" over reality, would not hesitate to do a trick if that means shifting someones fate. He says it himself in the scene: those who have come to receive will leave here poor, those who have come here to understand will leave here lost. To those who have received, those who have understood; it is time. I have come here to break the mirror and show you on which side you stand. It was never about being real or not. It was about making clear what the power of Belief could do. In the bible itself there is this beautiful story where Jezus tells his students to get him a blue cloack and a donkey so he can enter the city wearing the cloack, riding the donkey. Because that's what the prophecy said that would happen. And if they saw that the prophecy had come true, they would believe. And if they believed, that would give Jesus the power to perform miracles. Note, jesus did not perform the miracles, their belief made it so.. and that's exactly what this serieus showed us so beautifully.

Here I am tryna search season 2 , then they tell me the show is cancelled. This is why I start watching series at season 5 .

Such a coincidence the show was canceled but had 33 million views. The lord died at the age 33 👀

I just discovered the series and binge-watched all the episodes over one weekend. I really hope there will be another season.

Netflix need to get this on the Agenda ASAP. And make sure they get the series 2 messiah on our screens soon

I agree. Netflix has plenty of controversial series that weren't cancelled. They are fully aware that controversy generates views.
